Columbus Waterproofing

Larry and team did a great job installing the water proofing around the house.  Since this was installed we have not had any water in our basement.

I did not know how much were involved with their work until I saw it. Larry and Frank are kind and friendly, and hard working people; they were punctual at their job, They are not young anymore, but I can trust them and their work to finish their each section of the job timely. They were working about 6 to 8 hours a day at site. I have told Larry about my plan to finish my basement, but I won't be in town until my child finished school, he took it as his own basement that need to be finished up and started job 2 days early before my arrival. They were honest and helpful, we have many stuff in our basement that were collected through out the time by my father, they helped to move some stuff out and demolished a big closet for us, in returns, I agree to clean up some of the debris left from the work for them. They worked from outside around the house then worked inside of the basement, it was labor intense work, They started on 5/17/10 and finished on 6/3/2010, we are all impressed and appreciated their work attitudes and responsibilities, though the water still got in from the near-street corner of the basement, it did not reach the goal of preventing water coming in the basement, At least, the water will not get on the basement floor, it will go through the widened trenches to the ground drainage.

Good experience

Larry responded to my initial call for an estimate within 24 hours and was at my home within 48. He was very thorough in his explanation of what needed to be done. He coordinated with our real estate agent (we had moved out of town) to gain entry in to the home. The walls look magnificent. The only "problem" was the mess from the material residue that was impossible to get up off the vinyl tile flooring.

FIRST LARRY ADDRESSED THE OUTSIDE ISSUE, GETTING WATER AWAY FROM THE HOUSE; THICK PLASTIC SHEETING WAS ATTACHED UNDERGROUND TO THE FOUNDATION AND SEALED ALONG THE BACK OF THE HOUSE; NEW DRAINAGE LINES WERE LAID. IN THE CRAWLSPACE A WATERPROOFING COMPOUND WAS APPLIED TO THE WALLS; INSULATION WAS INSTALLED BETWEEN THE FLOORBOARDS (WHERE THERE HAD BEEN SIGNS OF MILDEW); AND THE ENTIRE FLOOR SURFACE WAS COVERED WITH A THICK PLASTIC MOISTURE BARRIER, WHICH WAS ALSO SEALED TO THE FOUNDATION WALLS. THE WORK TOOK 9 DAYS. LARRY PASCHAL IS DEDICATED TO HIS WORK, HAS STUDIED STRUCTURAL PROBLEMS AND DRAINAGE,EPA RESEARCH, AND IS VERY MUCH THE PERFECTIONIST HE SAYS HE IS. HE IS INVENTIVE, WORKS HARD, AND TAKES PRIDE IN HIS WORK. YOU CAN TRUST HIS ADVICE.

LARRY''S CREW, JOHN AND JACK, WERE COMPETENT AND PERSONABLE. LARRY EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO ME EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. HE ALWAYS ASKED WHAT I WANTED TO DO BEFORE GOING BEYOND THE INITIAL ESTIMATE. THEY LAY DOWN A WALKING SURFACE FOR GOING IN AND OUT AND ROLLED IT UP AT NIGHT.

LARRY AND CREW DID A GREAT JOB; WHEN THEY DISCOVERED THE CONCRETE PROBLEM THEY WENT AHEAD AND REMOVED IT WITHOUT CHANGING THE PRICE FOR THE JOB. THEY WERE FAST AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES THOROUGHLY.

LARRY DID A TERRIFIC JOB AND WAS VERY NICE.

GET AT PROBLEM. TOOK UP SOD TO RUN LINE TO STREET SO MEMBER WAS NOT FORN UP. VERY HAPPY.

ALL NEW DRAINS, GREAT JOB,DID EXACTLY WHAT HE SAID THAT HE WAS GOING TO DO, VERY IMPRESSED BY PROFESSIONALISM
