"Columbus Garage Floor Coating apologizes for the misunderstanding that the customer has for this installation. It is true that our estimator suggested that this floor could be leveled with our product and this was incorrect and for that we are sorry. When our crew went out to start the job they did not feel comfortable with the scope of work and wanted to further inspect the floor and engage our General Manager. Our General Manager actually met with this customer when the problem was identified by the crew. What we found was a slab with a crack running through the entire width of the garage floor and a crack down to the open end of the garage. In addition, the slab was sunk about two and a half inches. This was pointed out to the customer and a recommendation that she be referred to a company that could raise the slab (such as A-1 Leveling) was made. We offered to come back after the leveling work to ensure she received a floor that would meet her expectations. The customer did not want to proceed with this recommended "first step" and wanted the coating done despite our recommendation. The invoice was adjusted and the $500 fee for floor leveling was removed. The visibility of the crack and the descending floor is now accentuated because of the gloss floor which highlights its defects. We regret that she is unhappy but the decision to proceed with the project was made despite our recommended plan. We have scheduled a time to meet with the client to address her concerns. We are committed to making this right within our capabilities."

This includes a $500 discount on the initial contract and a $300 discount after the project was complete. After our review of the floor, we have determined that it is up to our standards and is consistent with our highest quality Deco Poly floors. However, during the manager's visit to see the floor, we determined that the raised area of the closet door is not ideal. Please note that our installer added product to that area per your request. We gave you $300 off your invoice because this area of your floor wasn't up to our standards."
