CHASE MORTGAGE

This is the statement of my husband but I was there throughout the whole process of ordeal and I also advised him: "The originator convinced me to up my points from .125 to one point which I reluctantly agreed. The process was quick until the appraisal was done. At that point I was unable to contact my originator for weeks. I left a phone message and emails (which up to this point I saved my line of communications with him.) He sensed that I was desperate calling him. Finally he called me and saying that my upfront amount of money is $8000.00, not the one point we talked about. The appraised value of the house was 475,000.00 and I was applying for a 380,000 refinancing mortgage. I almost had an acid reflux then due to stress and helplessness. The game of waiting wore me down. I decided not to go with this painful experience and lost my application fee of $395.00"

We started but we never got approved for anything with them. We never actually applied for the mortgage because we weren?t meeting their criteria. Other than advising there wasn?t much else that they did. They did not charge us for that. We went through three different loan officers that we had worked with because they kept either quitting or getting fired. We had to redo things a couple of times, and it was a little frustrating for us. The individual people seemed to be putting good effort, but didn?t stick around long enough to complete things. Their responsiveness varied from time to time.

We found Chase through the real estate agent that helped me buy the house. They offered us a 6% fixed interest rate, which I think is pretty fine. The sitting down and negotiating experience with them was good.
