Central Ohio Appliance Repair

My husband called them for refrigerator repair and paid the $90 for them to come out. The repair person took photos of the back of the refrigerator and said refrigerant was leaking and showed my husband the photos. He was going to give the photos to the 'refrigerant specialist'. After days of no follow up, my husband called back and was told they had no idea what was going on because there were no notes. After finally receiving a call back we were told it would be $1500 for the repair. Obviously we got a second opinion. What we found out was disturbing. THE PHOTOS WERE NOT OF OUR REFRIGERATOR AND THIS IS COMPLETE FRAUD. The refrigerant is not leaking and there is 0 liquid on the floor as in the photo. If you find yourself reading this I hope it is before you are scammed by this company.

We all know that refrigerator repairs are tricky and can be expensive. Mine sure was. It took two visits to finally fix my problem (plugged drain line and broken ice-maker), but it was resolved and at an affordable price. I want to recommend Dustin. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and caring. Highly recommend his as well as Central Ohio Appliance Repair.

They tried several times to repair it until they received the part. It took awhile; but that was not their fault. The part was back-ordered. However, they kept in contact with me and it was repaired. I highly recommend them! I appreciate their persistence and their pricing.

Keeping in mind all appliance repair is costly I just had Central Ohio Appliance Repair fix my stove. I was 99.9% sure it was the igniter but even using youtube I could not figure it out. I called at 8 this morning (Monday). They were here by noon and even called 20 minutes before arriving. Cost was $320.00. Markup on the part vs. Amazon was 50%. Service call $80 (seems to be the norm). And a charge of $65 for about 1.5 hours. Jacob was nice, clean, and really knew what he was doing.

It was excellent! They came out the same day, figured the problem out and made it work. They were friendly on the phone and in person. They were also very timely in responding to my problems.

Great service. The lid on my top-loading washer kept unlocking in the middle of each cycle so I called on a Thursday afternoon to schedule a repair appointment. Tony showed up first thing on Friday morning. He tried several things to get the washer to run properly, but unfortunately the control board was bad. Due to the high cost of the parts, I decided to just buy a new washer rather than have it repaired. I'm confident that Tony tried everything to help me avoid a high cost repair. I asked for Tony's opinion on various washing machine brands and I really appreciate his advice.

Jake came to see why the ice maker was leaking. The ice maker had to be replaced. The water was leaking around the metal and the plastic of the ice making area. Jake did not explain the options or details of the install but I asked some questions. They scheduled the install in two days. Very quick. On the install day I did have to call them because the time was for 9 - 12. I called at 10:30a to make sure he was coming. He did come at 11:30a after calling and was completed at 12N. I did ask for and got the $10 discount. After I looked at the invoice I was surprised that I was charged for the service call charge and for the labor charge. Since I did use them to install a new ice maker I thought I would be charged only for the labor and cost of materials. That what happens when you do not ask detailed questions. Overall they did a very good job. They could be better communicators but I am paying for the technical knowledge of appliance repair.

Very well. Washer had drainage issues. Friendly and professional guy by name of Jason. Issue turned out not to be mechanical but didn’t try to nickel and dime us. Friendly, great with the pets, and efficient. Worth every penny.

Donny was wonderful! He was extremely friendly and patient and very knowledgeable about our dishwasher and garbage disposal issues. Our dishwasher kept acting up and Donny made it his mission to get it fixed for us. He explained everything he did and provided great advice. He even interacted so well with our barking dog and let him sniff his toolbox to calm him down a bit. This is not something most technicians take the time to do, but it was much appreciated! Would highly recommend this company and Donny!!

Needed to order a part so Jason came a second time to replace the hinge. Works great.

We called Christmas eve morning and they were out that morning. The part had to be picked up but was fixed Wednesday morning. They were able to diagnose the issue very quickly. Service was quick and responsive

Of course I had a difficult challenge - diagnosing and possibly finding a part for a vintage 1971 GE drop in range. The oven has stopped heating, and it was right before Thanksgiving. The office staff were polite and helpful, and scheduled an appointment for a technician, as soon as they had an opening, which was after the holiday. He arrived promptly and spent a good amount of time carefully finding the problem. He was experienced and professional. Next, we needed a new part. After a call back to the office to check if GE still made the part (they did not), the gentleman said they would do a "nation-wide search" to see if the part was at all available. We paid the charge for the repair call (about $84.00). After a few days, I called back to the office to see how the part search was going, and was told the repairman himself would follow up with us. We had done our own online search and did see the part may be available or a replacement part, probably for a high cost. Nonetheless, we waited for the final call to hear our options. That call did not come through - thus the B rating. Would have liked at least a call back to find out if their search was or was not successful. Again, I understand this was a challenging situation, but we hoped to have had more options or a quick "no it's not available to us" thank you for doing business with us.

Fixed promptly. Assessed problem, had to obtain part and was able to do so locally. Able to complete repair in 2 days just before Thanksgiving holiday.

Jason called ahead to say when he was coming. He came ontime. He ran diagnostic test on the electronics of the dishwasher since it would not start by hitting the Start button. He gave me an estimate to replace the electronics in the door. They charged only the service fee of $85.95 including taxes. He suggested brands that were good and the brands to watch out for when we buy a new dishwasher. He was very professional.

Excellent! We had a broken plastic part that needed replaced. This had to be ordered and we had to decide if the washer was worth fixing vs buying new. The technician made the washer ‘usable’ so that we could decide which option to go with. We opted to fix it and they ordered the part. He came back and installed it and we are good to go! The technician was prompt, polite and knowledgeable.

Dustin and Tony called before they arrived and said they would arrive in 30 minutes and they were very prompt. Unfortunately the part I needed is no longer available so we were able to remove the broken button and now I can at least use a tool to push the button in the circuit board. Hopefully this small fix will allow me to keep the washer going for several more years. I would use this company for any large appliance need.

Awesome, friendly service. I would definitely call for any repair. It’s plain to see they care about the customers needs above anything.

Solution appears to have corrected problem. No longer need to remove crisper to clean up excess water and ice that formed below crisper. The only suggestion is when the technician needed to get part to come out next day if told wife that refrigerator needed to be emptied refrigerator shelves before he could install the new piece the work would have gone much faster.
