We dropped our vacuum cleaner off to be serviced while we were away on vacation. The job was done quickly and to my satisfaction. We received a telephone call when the servicing was complete.

Vacuum Cleaners
It went fine. The only reason I didn't give them an A in professionalism is that it was a couple days after a snowfall and the parking lot had not been plowed except for the 3 spots at the very front, two of which were handicapped spots and one that the guy working in the store was parked in! I wasn't too happy about trudging through the snow while schlepping a heavy vacuum cleaner.

The transaction was frustrating, but not totally Carmen's fault. Even though I had purchased the machine from Carmen's, they told me I had to contact Dyson's to ask them to fax confirmation of warranty to Carmen's before work could be done. When I contacted Dyson's, they told me I should have called them before taking the machine to Carmen's because I needed Dyson's permission before getting a repair because actually I could have replaced the belt myself. However, Carmen's said if i had done it myself, that would have negated the warranty. Other than that, the machine was fixed and all is now well.

Vacuum Cleaners
I dropped off 2 Rainbow vacuum cleaners; the first was 'dead'. I had hopes it could be revived. I paid a non-refundable $20 service fee up front for an evaluation of the problem with the understanding that $20 would go towards repairs if I chose to have the vacuum cleaner repaired. The 2nd vacuum cleaner needed a tuneup and a cleaning. I was to be contacted within a week to be told if the 1st sweeper could be revived and contacted again when the work was completed. I contacted Carmen's after 2 weeks to inquire about progress on my vacuum cleaners. They needed to check so I was asked to call back again. I called back again to find the sweepers were both ready. After picking up the vacuum cleaners, I rechecked my bills and didn't see where the $20 paid up front was credited towards the repairs on the 1st Rainbow. I called to inquire about the $20 credit on the bill and was instructed to come into the shop with the bill to let them check it. When I took the bill to the shop, the amount of the bill was explained to my satisfaction.
