We had a broken glass door at a commercial building due to vandalism. Capital City Glass came out and measured for size of glass needed then special ordered glass which took about a week to come in. Once glass came in the glass was installed quickly and professionally. I would use and recommend Capital City Glass.

We were thrilled with Capitol Glass.
Another company I had contacted acted too busy to take the work and gave me a ballpark quote that was more than TWICE what Capitol charged.
David in the office and John, the Installation Technician were both prompt, pleasant, and knowledgeable. John was willing to go above and beyond in dealing with that old mirror, had we chosen to go that route. He also advised me how to change out the fasteners on our new mirrors if I decided later that I wanted brass/goldtone (I was being wishy washy about which finishes I liked better with the mirrors since the silver looked good - nearly blending in completely - with the mirrors, but all the hardware in the bath is brass) and left me with an extra fastener to compare/measure against if I went to the hardware store. We really appreciate these little kindnesses. I also really appreciate that John made our job a priority even though it was relatively small.
I would happily recommend them.

I sent an email via their website early in the morning asking about an estimate. I heard back from them shortly thereafter on the same day. I called them to discuss a few more details and they told me they could have the piece ready within a few hours. I was thrilled to get the piece so fast. They were prompt, courteous and professional. I rated a "B" in quality only because the glass was very dirty (which I was not expecting) so I did have to spend some time cleaning it before I could use it. And I also rated a "B" because my husband had to wait a little bit when he picked it up, despite being told it would be ready at a certain time. But overall they were very helpful, fast and the piece is perfect.

From the first phone call asking about their services up through and including the actual work, they were total professionals. They were clear about what the costs would be and timely with the service which was both friendly and high quality work performed by John.

They did a good job. They cut the glass slightly larger than I needed but it was okay. They wrapped the glass for me to transport. I would use them again. They were courteous and had the stuff ready for me when I needed it. I thought they did a great job. I thought their prices were better than anywhere else I called.

They miscut the glass twice. They were very apologetic and gave me a discount, but they miscut it TWICE and not by an 1/8 of an inch or anything small but by a full inch the first time and at least 2 inches the second time. Also, I kept having to go out to their place to return the old pieces and pick up the new ones. They were very nice and the price was fine, but come on!

We paid them up front, and they said they would have our window ready on 7/14, but when we came to pick it up, they told us the glass broke in the furnace and to come back on 7/17. They then told us it wasn't ready on that day, so they told us to come back 7/20. I checked back yesterday and was ready to pick it up and it still was not ready. I only went there because a hardware store recommended them, and it has taken so long that I wish I had gone somewhere else. It took 9 days longer than they intially stated for us to get the glass back.

They did a great job. There was no wait, and the glass and mirror were cut properly. I felt that the price was very reasonable.

A glass pane in the back door shattered when we closed it. I called Capitol City, gave them the approximate size and received an estimate over the phone. I called back with the glass dimensions. They cut the glass and brought it out and installed it. The ENTIRE process took less than one hour, from first phone call to finished job! and, for the quoted price. I will use them again.

I called on a Monday, the appointment was for Tuesday morning. The man arrived promptly, assessed the work, gave me a price and said he would return with the pane after making a few more stops. He returned in 1 1/2 hour with the newly cut pane and replaced the glass. The installer was pleasant, courteous, and efficient. He also turned out to live in the neighborhood.

Many of the people came out and said they wouldn't do the work because it would be more expensive than replacing door, but Capital City said that they could do it with no problem, and do it quickly. They came out and first off, had a problem getting the glass out that had shattered. We did know in advance that getting the glass out may leave a dent. However, when they did get the glass out, they swept with a hand broom and dustpan, but didn't vacuum or anything else, so small pieces were still in the carpet. Then, when they put the window in, he started with white caulk, but didn't have enough, so he finished it with clear caulk, and it looked like a child had done it. We called them to come fix it and they were willing to do that, but it still looks rough. I don't think there is anything they can do to fix it. I was just not pleased. I would not use them again.

The installation tech was a really good guy, and kept us well informed. He came out and replace a half moon window that is located on the south end of the house.

The installer was prompt (showed up 15 minutes before the agreed time; a really good thing since I stayed home from work to have work done). He took the time to explain how, given how the window was glued together, that the finished appearance may not be up to my standards (as in you wouldn't know it had been repaired). I understood this and appreciated that he was trying to manage my expectations. As it ended up, a trim piece did break but he was able to glue it in and the finished appearance was fair-to-good, which was fine to me, given the age and condition of the window. He used a slightly thicker piece of glass which I happen to prefer, since it will be less likely to be broken again by my son or his friends! He was finished in 35-40 minutes; a fraction of the time it would have taken me, with much less damage.

When I called other places, I was shocked at the costs quoted and the amount of time (2-3 days) it would take to cut two glass rectangles. Capital City's quote was far less than the others and they offered to do it while I wait (maybe 30 minutes). When I went in and gave them my specs, I had my glass pieces finished and wrapped up within 15 minutes. The cost even came in a bit below the quote. When we later discovered that we had given them an incorrect spec for one piece, I returned and got it re-cut in a few minutes for $5.
