Bucklew Basement Waterproofing and Masonry

Of all the contractors I've worked with, Bucklew is by far the best. They started and finished in the stated time-frame, two weeks. They showed up on time each day and worked all day. The roof on my house was put on in 1870 per a note on the attic wall so the basement has been around at least since that time and the mortar between stones was pretty much being held in place by the cobwebs so this was a really big job. The tuckpointing was impeccable and thorough. Given that the stones were grey, the White Thoroseal as well as making the basement waterproof for a potential 20 years really brightens the place up. New block windows not framed in wood, which was problematic, are now mortared in place, eliminating basement cold air leaks. I'm still waiting for them to install a Bilco Door, but that's a shipping container problem which will just have to play out before they can install it. Kudos to Travis, Smitty and the rest of the crew, a bunch of hard-working men who can take pride in a job well done.
