COURTNEY DESIGNED THE SITE AND LET ME KNOW TO VIEW IT. THE DESIGN WAS GOOD, THE CONTENT WASN'T. THE LOGO WASN'T RIGHT AND INFO ABOUT CONSULTS WAS ADDED. IT TOOK COURTNEY & ASSIST A WEEK TO RETURN MY CALL. THE CHANGES WERE MADE AND POSTED. THE EMAIL DIDN'T WORK AND NO RETURN CALLS FOR PROBLEM. I MOVED THE SITE FILES TO A FOLDER AND POSTED A CONSTRUCTION PAGE. I CONTACTED BL ABOUT GETTING A REFUND BECAUSE OF SERVICE AND SUPPORT. I WAS TOLD THAT I WAS LUCKY I WASN'T CHARGED EXTRA FOR MODIFICATIONS TO THE DESIGN, STEALING THEIR DESIGN, AND THE EXTRA TIME SPENT TRYING TO TRANSFER THE HOST. THE MODS WERE ACTUALLY CORRECTIONS, THE DESIGN WAS STILL ON THE HOST, AND THE ADDED TIME WAS TRYING TO LEARN HOW TO DEFEAT THE INTERNET STANDARD 60 DAY HOSTING REQUIREMENT. EMAIL FROM THE OWNER CONFIRMED THAT I WAS A THIEF, TRYING TO GET OUT OF A CONTRACT GET AN ILLEGAL REFUND, MY LEGAL OBLIGATION TO PAY THE ADDED FEES, AND FUTURE PURCHASES WOULD HAVE TO BE PAID IN ADVANCE - ??
Description of Work: I CONTACTED BLUE LASER DESIGN ABOUT SETTING UP A WEB SITE FOR A NEW BUSINESS. I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH A WEB DESIGNER, COURTNEY, AND DISCUSSED THE SITE. I PROVIDED THE COMPANY INFORMATION, PICTURES, AND A COMPANY LOGO TO BE USED. THE LOGO WAS GENERATED IN A DRAFTING PROGRAM AND CONVERTED TO SEVERAL DIFFERENT GRAPHIC FORMATS. I EXPLAINED TO COURTNEY THAT I WASN'T SURE ABOUT THE FORMATTING OF THE LOGO AND THAT I COULD PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FORMATS IF NECESSARY AND WAS TOLD WHAT I PROVIDED COULD WORKED WITH AND USED. I ALSO TOLD COURTNEY THAT I HAD BEEN USING A FREE BETA WEB SITE DESIGN HOST AND HAD SIGNED UP FOR HOSTING SERVICE WITH ANOTHER COMPANY. I ALSO TOLD HER THAT THE FREE SITE ACTUALLY REGISTERED MY DOMAIN NAME AND THE HOSTING SERVER COULD NOT BE CHANGED FOR 60 DAYS. IF THE FREE SITE COULDN'T BE USED TO DIRECT VISITORS TO THE PAID SITE, THEN POST ON THE FREE SITE AND TRANSFER THE SITE AFTER THE 60 DAYS. I SIGNED THE PROPOSAL AND PAID IN ADVANCE.

We go out of our way to provide cost effective solutions for small to corporate sized companies and non-profit organizations. During a client's consultation, we rely on their information to be accurate and prepared. When our contracts and proposals are created, we specifically state how many hours are allotted for every aspect of the project. If we do not use those hours, they are refunded, but if those hours exceed the contract, we charge additional. This client's claims are not only inaccurate based on our email documentation, but deceptive in a way that we felt taken advantage. A refund would have been provided in this case, but the client actually changed his own password, locking us out and keeping our work, along with confusing emails filled with inaccurate accusations. Anyone who would like to stop by our office and personally read each email documenting our position is welcome. As a growing small business, we are here to please our current and potential client base. All of our hourly rates are below industry standard, proving we are not here for a quick profit but here to provide a friendly personal solution for all print, web and search engine marketing solutions.
