Bill the owner of BDJ Handymen Services conducted an initial visit to discuss the project and provide a quote. A time was scheduled for the service to be conducted. Bill and Joey did a great job, they are detailed oriented, prompt, friendly and completed our project to exceed our expectations. My door jamb had a split from the bracket screws for the bottom hinge of my previous storm door and the hinge screws no longer held tight. My own attempt at repair with wood filler had not worked well. A couple of door companies said I needed to replace the door jamb for $400-$500. Bill asked me to send him a picture via text message. Upon seeing that and then stopping by to look in person, he said he could fill in the split and previous screw holes with wood filler and sand it down to be smooth for $200. I opted for that. He completely filled the screw holes and the crack, and the whole surface was completely smooth. You would hardly know anything had been done to it.

Said he would call if he could come and help with the freezer (timelines were tight) He did not call, so we got help elsewhere. Expected him to call later about clearing out the garage, but he did not, so nothing has yet been done in that regard.

Could not have found a better handyman to perform this job! The quality of the work performed exceeded my expectations. The project took approximately two days to complete and went very smoothly. Bill is a great communicator; I really appreciated his responsiveness and timeliness immensely. I have already had Bill start on another job at my home and plan to use him again in the future as well! Experience was great. It's so nice to have someone as responsive as Bill. He was nice and not condescending! He replaced our front doorknob and lockset, which I could not handle myself. He was done in about 15 mins, which was great. He also looked at two of my toilets; adjusted the float on one and showed me how to replace a part on the other. This, I can handle. I love knowing that Bill is in the neighborhood b/c it's been very difficult for me to find someone trustworthy to work with. I will definitely continue to call Bill for any small projects and will recommend him to anyone who asks. Thanks!

Bill & "Peewee" were great. They got in & did the demo quickly. The guys that did the drains said "this is one of the best, cleanest demo jobs we've seen." The rebuild went great as well. There were a few things that weren't quite as I hoped, but Bill was fast to get back in and make sure I was happy. The end result looks amazing, and I was really happy with how it all came together. He did his best to keep to the initial quote, despite me throwing him a few curveballs along the way.

The job was finished correctly. The two guys were not very professional. They were not very friendly. My dog stayed by my side the whole time they were in my house. This is not a normal behavior for her. They used our kids bathroom without asking and it wasn’t just to go #1. The guy who drove left the other guy to finish and walk home which was very strange. When we went to pay we showed the guy the 5% discount coupon that was on Angie’s list. He said he wouldn’t take it because even though it said for ALL Angie’s list members it was supposed to say just for Seniors and Veterans. It has since been updated but the company and Angie’s List should stand behind the website coupon. I would not recommend them.

Ceiling looks great. However bathtub was left with 1 inch of plaster dust and rubbish from the ceiling tile removal. Entire bathroom left with a coating of plaster dust which then tracked out to the hard wood floors. The toilet still runs..... He recommended one of his workers to paint the rest of the interior of the house. What a disaster! Had to fire the guy after 2 months for lack of performance. Had to finish the job myself. No woodwork painted as agreed. Had to finish painting 4 of the 6 room, missed spots and cutting in the ceiling where the ceiling white roller hit the walls. Plaster dust tracked thru every room in the house. Paint on the hard wood floors in 5 of the 6 rooms Not BDF's work, but he recommended one of his employees to moonlight the paining project. The recommendation leads me to question his judgement.

When we contacted them, they had just received a cancellation so the workers were here and finished within a week. Everything is good with one little exception. The interior room wasn't cleaned up from spills very well and there was 1 of 8 nail holes never mended.
