The company did a nice job of placing additional support beams in our basement. One gentleman accidentally knocked off a dish on the shelf in the basement.  The company apologized and took the equivalent price for the replacement of the dish off of our bill.  They were prompt and courteous.They had done some work for us in the basement a few years ago as well and also installed drainage tiles in the back yard.  Would recommend them.

I had contacted other vendors for my relatively small job and most didn't seem interested. I was treated by Ohio Basement with courtesy and concern that I be satisfied with quality of work.

Bill came to give me a quote and told me exactly what needed to be done. I had 5 other quotes and each company told me I needed far more work to be done to correct the problem and all wanted to charge me around $3000! I chose Bill because his diagnosis made sense to me. When he came and dig out the basement he was spot on. He was extremely thorough in his work. He got the work done quickly and actually did a couple of other things which were not in the quote. He cleaned up when he had finished. He is completely honest. I would recommend his work. He is a little hard of hearing but do not be put off by it, his work is excellent.

While Mr. Johnson was equipped with photographs, materials, and everything he needed to quote us on moisture proofing our basement, he was entirely honest and ethical with us in reporting that he did not find anything that needed remediation in our basement. There was no charge for his inspection and report. I'm impressed and very relieved!

Bill came out and gave an estimate on repairing a crack in our basement wall. He gave several options as to what could be done along with the costs of each, He and another worker came right on time, did a beautiful job. He had told me that when he finished I would not even be able to tell that a crack had been there and he was right! While he was working, I was moving some things around in the basement and found an area where moisture had come through the wall when one of the gutters had backed up. He fixed that too and did not charge any extra. I would highly recommend this company, I had some other basement repair companies come in and were pressuring me to put in wall braces when they were not needed. He is honest and reliable. Wouild definitely use him again,

They found errors from a previous job and corrected those for us at no charge. They put down dropcloths from the basement steps all the way to the back door. They did a tremendous job cleaning up after themselves. I couldn't believe how great the work turned out. I have even recommended them to some other friends already. They were very professional. They had to come through the kitchen area to get to through the back door. They never hit anything and were very efficient and careful when hauling equipment in and out.

They did excellent work. Everything was very clean during the process and after the work was done. They were a pleasure to have around. They also did some work in another home for me that included a sump pump installation. I would definitely recommend them.

I interviewed a few contractors. Others were either unresponsive or were only interested in providing a budget busting total basement solution. Bill was quick to come by for the estimate. He advised me on what his total solution would be, which sounded better than what the competition was offering, however he was also willing to work with me to find the right solution for my basement and my budget. His solution addressed the primary concern of water resting against one side of my house due to a sidewalk which was leaning into rather than away from the house. With the sidewalk gone and the drainage tile in place I'm confident the root cause of my problems has been resolved. Inside the house Bill and his hard working crew repaired the water damaged walls which are now dry, solid and look absolutely great. The work took a few days to complete and during that time Bill was always quick to return my calls/email and address what few concerns I had along the way. I couldn't be happier and will absolutly call Bill again should the need arise.

Bill Johnson was prompt with coming out to give an estimate. He gave us several tips of what to ask of other contractors, so we could make a good judgement. . They cleaned up every day before they left.

We were startled to find these cracks a few months after moving into our new house because they were hidden behind some paneling; it was only when we were looking for the source of the water that had entered the basement that we discovered them. Bill came out promptly to give us an estimate, and reassured us that it didn't look like structural damage and didn't require a major repair. He gave a very reasonable estimate, and didn't try to convince us to spend more money on something we didn't need. He and his assistant were professional, courteous, and did a very careful and thorough job and the wall looks great. He's knowledgeable and helpful, and was willing to offer his advice about other issues in the house. I would definitely hire him again.

Bill provided a written estimate for his work. I went with him because he did work for me before and I was satisfied with the result. He was able start in a little over a week (March 31, 2008). Bill and his crew did a very good job. They added the posts, removed the old ones and replaced them too. They had to move a duct pipe in the process. They painted the walls when they finished. The job was completed in a little less than three days.

Bill Johnson responded quickly after we accepted his bid, which was a little lower than several other places. Bill also offered us a lifetime warranty which nobody else offered. His crew came out within a few days and scraped the old paint off the wall and installed beams. The second day, waterproofing was applied. The wall was straightened and looks great! They did the work in less time than they estimated, and even moved my washer and dryer back into place and reconnected them. Overall we're very happy.

I had actually contacted Basement Repair Specialist, Inc in regard to cracks in our basement wall. Another company said nothing needed to be done except bleaching the cracks for now, then a $10000 system if more problems arose, but Bill Johnson inspected it thoroughly and recommended patching it and repairing our downspout. He gave me an estimate of $380 in Feb 2006. Unfortunately, we didn't get around to doing anything with it until September. After I bleached the cracks, we got a big rain and water was flowing in. I called BRS and they sent out Bill Peters, who I learned has worked with them for years and does their smaller jobs. He came out and re-inspected and kept the original quote! He came out on a Saturday and did all necessary repairs in a timely and professional manner and cleaned up afterwards. He also explained all that he was doing and was conscientious about his work. It's now 2 months later and the basement is DRY! Great work by both BRS companies!

Bill Johnson, the owner, was on-site most of the time. The workers, especially the foreman, were very well informed about the process and their job. Very polite, cleaned up after the job very well -- overall I was happy with the job.

We were very pleased with the service provided. The workers came when they said they would, completed the job in two days, and stayed true to their estimate. They made sure to lay drop cloths down in order not to soil carpets and cleaned up after themselves when done. We would recommend this company.

Generally a good experience. Bill and John spent a lot of time during initial visit and came back to meet with my husband to answer his questions. Arranged for us to get estimates from an associated plumber to address underground downspouts/drainage. Hauled away all debris. While there were very minor issues (like the clothes dryer vent was not tightly reattached), John did call a few days later to see what we thought and even stopped by to tighten the washer hook-ups that were hard to tighten by hand. The basement looks 500% better!

THEY GOT THE JOB DONE PROMPTLY, IT ONLY TOOK THEM 3 DAYS AND THEY DIDN'T MAKE A BIG MESS. THEY CLEANED UP AS THEY DID THE WORK. THEY WERE VERY PLEASANT TO DEAL WITH, AND I FEEL THEY GAVE ME A VERY REASONABLE PRICE. I HAD A NEIGHBOR WHO USED A DIFFERENT COMPANY AND ONLY HAD A FRACTION OF THE WORK THAT I HAD, AND PAID MUCH MORE THAN I DID. IT WAS A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE AND I'VE REFERRED THEM TO LOTS OF OTHER PEOPLE.

BILL AND HIS TEAM DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. OTHER QUOTES FROM COMPANIES STATED WE NEED TO TRENCH THE INSIDE OF OUR BASEMENT FLOOR. BILL SAID THAT WOULD NOT ADDRESS OUR ISSUE OF ONE WALL BOWING. HE DISCOVERED DOWNSPOUT DRAINS UNDER THE GROUND WERE NOT CONNECTED AND HAD BEEN CRUSHED, AND THE WATER FROM THESE DOWNSPOUTS WERE GOING RIGHT AGAINST THE FOUNDATION. HE WAS ALWAYS ON TIME, AND DID OUTSTANDING WORK. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR KNOWLEDGE AND COST.
