Very good work.  They avoided coating several plants that grow between the drive and fence.

After the first year, they recommended having the driveway sealed which I did with them. This last summer, I noticed a ripple from car tires. I called and asked them to come have a look. After a couple weeks, Cliff came out and placed his level on the driveway and agreed that there was an issue. He was going to go back and speak with his boss and get back to me. I waited two weeks and heard nothing. I reached out to Monty Long and he said the owner would be coming to take a look that week. I have still not heard back from them. I was out sweeping today and now the stones are popping up through the asphalt.

Working with B&C Blacktop was easy and went very well.  After a weather delay, they seal coated my driveway and it looks great.  I would use this company again.

Band C sealed my driveway. They did a neat job and it looked very good after they were finished. It took a bit longer than expected to have the work performed after giving them the go ahead, but once they gave me a firm date they arrived on time to perform the work. I would work with them again.

.Last August 2013 I scheduled the asphalt removal and apply new asphalt............In April, May June after many phone calls to inquire when my drive way would be scheduled I was given so many excuses by Bill Brown...that asphalt was not available, or they are so behind on jobs because of the rain...... I understood the rain played a role in delaying the scheduled driveway completion .....I was usually told by Bill that someone would call me back to address my concerns but that never happened so I kept calling until finally one day I was told they would be out the next day.....June 19 to remove the old asphalt.. I called the office on the 20th to inquire as to whether or not someone would come and level the driveway and was told that would be done when the new asphalt is applied. I mentioned that my retaining wall was chipped and they need to fix it......I took pictures of the damage. On the 24th of June they poured new asphalt....no one paid attention to the work order that stated: and quot;all water to drain away from the house whenever possibleand quot;. Several hours after the completion of the driveway it started to rain and I noticed rain draining towards the house....I went out and took pictures of the rain not draining properly as the driveway was slanted towards the home ,water was pooling on the sidewalk and running off into the soil next to the foundation of the home.
The next day I had Bill come out to see the problem with water draining towards the house and not away from it. I called his attention to how the driveway slanted towards the house and asked why no one who worked the asphalt noticed there was a problem...he refused to listen to my and only glanced at the pictures I had taken. of the rain pooling and puddling on the sidewalk and washing soil across the walk across the concrete skirt in front of the driveway............ I was told it cannot be fixed and I said
my driveway has been in place for 23 years and I never had this problem............my comments fell on deaf ears..........Bill still expected to be paid and I said I will not pay until my driveway is fixed to my satisfaction . On my attorney's advise I got The Delaware County of water and soil engineer's to come out and measure....and yes the driveway was slanted towards the house...........called in another asphalt company for their input, called a builder, a construction consultant. Everyone said this water problem has to be redirected......it should not drain towards the house........My daughter made calls on my behalf to see if someone would come out and evaluate the concerns I had . She usually spoke to Bill who gave her the same song and dance routine he gave me. She asked to speak to the owner of the company but was told they will give him the message and he will call her back.....that never took place so once again she called the office and spoke with Bill as it seems one cannot get pass Bill to talk to Bryan the owner...........I have reported this problem to the BBB and now Angie's list and hopefully one of these days someone will come out and repair my retaining wall area's that are chipped and redirect the flow of water ,when it rains, away from the house.
Communication , lack of integrity, and definitely an absence of professionalism. .at Band C Blacktop Sealing, Inc.......I would think the owner of this company would want to be aware that customers seem to have trouble reaching him to resolve this problem rather than write a review on poor workmanship. I am a widow and a senior citizen and I trusted this company to do a good job but unfortunately I was wrong.

B and C came last fall 2013 to repair the area that we had agreed upon. They came and tore up the loose asphalt, replaced it and we thought everything would be fine. However, immediately after a rainfall, we noticed that the area they repaired was not draining properly and a huge pool of water was standing after every rainfall when the rest of the parking lot drained properly. I called the salesman, Rick Callison and he came and noted the issue. The problem was that the area that pooled water was directly in front of the doors of a business in my building where there is a lot of traffic in an out and there are many elderly people who enter there. My husband requested that they come and fix the area and regrade it to drain properly. They kept putting if off and then claimed it was too late in the year to repair the area due to the colder weather and lack of asphalt. The winter was terrible because any water that pooled in that area froze like an ice rink making it dangerous for anyone trying to walk through that area of our lot. B and C claimed they would repair the area as soon as possible in the spring of 2014. They were paid for over half the estimate and they agreed that we could pay the rest of the balance when the work was completed to our satisfaction.
Fast forward to this spring. We began calling B and C again in March/April to see when the repair would be done. Mr. Callison brought out the owner of the company and they agreed that the area had not been graded properly. They told us they would try to make the repair as soon as possible when they could start getting asphalt.
Fast forward now to June. B and C has repeatedly lied to us about the repair. They have told us multiple times now that they would be out and quot;this Fridayand quot; and yet the Fridays keep coming with no work done. We are now in the process of having to find another asphalt company to do the work that B and C should have finished. This company has no professionalism, honor, or integrity.

During the winter, I started calling around to get quotes on our driveway repair. We bought an old house last year with a badly cracked driveway. When I contacted B and C, I asked that they come out and take a look at the driveway. They told me that it wasn't necessary to come out and gave me a quote of $285. I didn't realize at the time that the $285 was only to seal the driveway and not actually fix anything. Now, in fairness, this was my mistake in the first place. I mis-read the quote and went ahead and hired them without realizing that they wouldn't be sealing any cracks (apparently they don't recommend crack sealing on residential driveways). It's been less than a month since the driveway was sealed and it's already cracking and peeling again. I just can't believe that these people in good conscience wouldn't have called me to suggest we do more work to fix the driveway. I honestly feel like I threw $285 down the drain. I will never use this company again. My husband and I are very, very unhappy customers.

I asked for and received a quote, in a timely manner, to have my asphalt driveway completely torn out and redone, but I had to hold off due to finances. Contacted Band C again and scheduled to have the work done. Bill came out and we discussed having a concrete apron at the garage door torn up and replaced with asphalt also, which was also quoted. Driveway was redone and was beautiful, but the concrete apron was not done. I called Debbie and told her that if the concrete apron didn't get done, just take it off the bill. While I was waiting for an invoice, we got rain, and I had a large puddle of standing water up by the garage. I called Debbie at Band C and she mentioned that the foreman and quot;thought there was a low spot.and quot; She was going to have someone come out and look at it and get it fixed so the water would drain off the driveway. In Debbie' defense, the weather wasn't always cooperative and she did not demand payment for the work done at that time. Finally, she called and said that Bill Brown was going to go out with someone with their infrared something or other and get it fixed. When I got home, I drove up the driveway only to see a large (3' x 2') patch in what should have been a seamless, new asphalt driveway. I also had a voice message from Mr. Brown stating that they had to use some piece of equipment near my year-old 6' privacy fence gate and since I didn't leave the gate unlocked, they and quot;dingedand quot; it in a few places. Band C never mentioned that they needed the gate unlocked and I would never think to do so because the standing water was up by the garage. He also stated and quot;it is what it is.and quot; Even though I felt they should come out and try again, I didn't want them to make it worse and I mailed them their check, which they deposited today. But, I sent an e-mail to Debbie and copied Monty (I didn't have Mr. Brown's e-mail address) letting them know that I was not happy, that I could not recommend them to any one, and that when it needed to be re-sealed, I would be calling another company. Then it rained. Now, I have a small and quot;raised islandand quot; in the middle of the puddle and a narrow lake going down the side of the fenceline. The fenceline lake drains, but it takes forever for the patched area to dry. Nobody from Band C has ever contacted me.
Updated: May 20, 2013 - Band C agreed to reseal my driveway at no charge which would cover the patch. It looked fine, until the first rain. The entire left side of my driveway (it's wider at the left top but the driveway does have an incline to the street) turned into ponds of standing water of various sizes, two of which were quite large. I sent a photo to Gabe at Band C and he said and quot; That's a lot of water!and quot; He said that they would have Bill Brown go out and take a look. I didn't get much satisfaction from Mr. Brown the first time there was a problem, but I thought that after looking at my photo, they would be out quickly to change the angles so that my driveway drains. Mr. Brown was out either May 14 or 15. He left his card in my door and that's the last I have heard from Mr. Brown. I called Band C last Friday and asked somebody to get back with me. No response. I left a voicemail this morning on Mr. Brown's phone extension and haven't heard a word. I cannot recommend this company to anyone. They're lack of communication is inexcusable.

See above - nothing significant to add other than I was expecting the job to take longer and be alot messier so was very please that other parts of yard and sidewalks were not torn up and driveway was done in 2 days. I would have done it sooner had I known!

They did an excellent job. Cracks were sealed as well as could be expected given that my property sits on clay and the drought caused several cracks to open wider than usual. I will probably use them again when the driveway needs sealing again in a couple of years.

Very responsive. Emailed me an estimate quickly. Gave me two options on the work and the difference in cost. Did the work in two days. The old driveway was removed one day and the new driveway placed the second day. The new drive is graded nicely, drains well away from the house. They made a nice transition between our brick walkway and the driveway. Clean up was good with very little damage to the surrounding lawn. Great job.

I called them 2 weeks ago. They had a quote to me in a couple days. I called and scheduled the service for a week later. They came and did the service and I am happy with the overall outcome. They showed up on time and did what they said they would.

They seemed reputable. My driveway cracked after they did it but they came back and fixed it and said it was because of the dry summer. They had issues because of the dry summer. The guy that came out to do an estimate was very intelligent and very professional. He told me to look at some of their jobs and they were really nice looking and in some really nice neighborhoods.
