The cost was discounted at $25.00, but the time it took by this student to complete was 1 1/2 hours, which was too long. Luckily, I had a book with me. The environment was shabby although the products used were new and clean. They do give a bottle of polish as a take-away, which was a nice touch, but you must be very patient if you go.

They are like a cosmetology school. They use plant based products and their price is really good.

Everyone in the salon is very nice from the receptionists to the students and the faculty. They ensure that you have a pleasant experience from start to finish.

This is a fairly new location in the university gateway. When you walk in it is a little cramped and chaotic. I was given a stylist who was going to graduate soon. I explained to her I wanted to try something different with my highlights, however I did not schedule for a full highlight appointment. They explained to me why they had to do the highlights a certain way, to go with the color I wanted. The instructor came by multiple times in the beginning and at the end. The instructor asked if I was happy and pleased with my hair cut. I have curly hair and asked her to do a razor cut. I received an excellent hair cut. They offered complementary tea and drinks when you arrived. The only thing that is off putting is that you have to sign a release and you have to be available during the days they have available, as well.

I accidentally arrived early, but the stylist-in-training dropped what she was doing to see me immediately. She was very friendly and made an effort to make small talk. She also gave me a great back massage and facial. I've gotten lots of compliments on my hair, too!

I have been to this provider on more than one occasion. Most recently, I was there for a hair cut. I have not yet had a bad cut by the students. In addition, they offer a complementary facial. This time I also received a shoulder and neck massage at no charge.

The whole team at Aveda Institute was kind and attentive to customers. Since it's a school/institute, the treatment rooms aren't particularly luxurious, but the treatments themselves make up for the surroundings. The treatment including exfoliation and cleansing, which was very relaxing. I can't wait to go back! I purchased additional products at the store like the natural cleansers used.

This place is amazing! I've gone here twice so far in the past 6 months and have truly received the best haircuts of my entire life. The stylists are students of Aveda, so they are meticulous in their work (granted, it does take about 1-1/2 hours for a hair cut!). My haircut was very stylish and trendy, and who can beat $20? (tips are not allowed)
