ATLAS TITLE AGENCY LLC

At the hour closing was scheduled, an error was found in the documents. Closing had to be rescheduled two weeks later. Closing was finally held on 8 Sep 06. Atlas did not have a check for proceeds available for seller. Check was to be sent to seller through USPS, registered mail, return receipt required. Check was actually sent first class, not registered. Post mark applied at Atlas office indicates mailing on 11 Sep 06, but postmark applied at Columbus Post Office indicates mailing on 20 Sep 06. Check arrived 22 Sep 2006. Amount of the check was correct, $24,274.03, but the delay in transmission cost us roughly $500 in interest, since this money was to be used to pay off another note. Atlas should rimburse us $500 for the missed interest. In addition, the clerk at Atlas, who did not give her name, was extremely rude when we called to follow up. We will definitely NOT use Atlas again.
