Great, I would recommend this shop to anyone. The owner is a very straight forward guy, no small talk, but he knows what he is doing and will service your need ASAP.

The Rolex was serviced and returned in great running condition. The final price was exactly what the estimate was. The watch was also repaired within the time frame quoted. Overall a no nonsense, professional watch repair center. I would not hesitate to use this provider again.

They did an excellent job for an extremely fair price, while I waited.

TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. Took an antique watch in to see about cleaning and repair. Young man at counter (Chris?) was INCREDIBLY rude and dismissive. Seemed irritated I had come there for business. Said my watch "couldn't be repaired" because it was "inexpensive and old, not designed to last." I asked that the repairman look at it, anyway, because I wasn't convinced the watch couldn't be repaired.Three weeks later, I went to pick it up. It had been returned by the repairman, who claims it "can't be repaired." I asked for a receipt or something to show that this was the case, and the young man said, "I don't offer anything like that" and walked away from me. Frankly, I doubt anyone looked at the watch. HOW DOES THIS PLACE STAY IN BUSINESS?? Sure, they're in an ARLINGTON strip mall, but his attitude and behavior were the worst I have EVER encountered in a business. Unfortunately, I didn't read the numerous bad reviews on Google before I went there.

The job was performed efficiently.

However, I found the man working to be quite rude. I do not think he spoke more than ten words to me. It was mainly nodding and blank stares. The one question I did ask was answered with a curt and quot;no.and quot; As stated, the service was performed efficiently, but the lack of courtesy displayed is enough of a turn-off for me to not go there again.

I have used Arlington two times now and have been impressed with their service and professionalism. This last time, I brought in one watch for a new battery and one watch for a minor repair. The technician replaced the battery, and then quickly found the problem with my watch (one of the buttons on the side of the watch was not working). Since the fix was so easy, he did not charge me. Excellent, and very fair service. I will use again.

I took my watch in for a new battery. The cost was only $10 although when I asked how much he acted as if I were a moron for asking such a dumb question. Work was completed in less than 10 minutes. When I asked for a receipt he said I did not need one. Overall very rude. About a month later the watch stopped keeping time. I just assumed the battery was no good. Of course I had no receipt and honestly there was no way I was going to endure that experience again. I took it to another shop and learned the gasket was not put back in allowing water to get in. The watch mechanism is now bad and must be replaced. Since the watch had never been serviced prior to the battery replacement and worked fine before that, I'm guessing this gentleman failed to put the gasket back in. My $10 battery is now a $58 battery. Bottom line this person is rude and unprofessional regardless if he ruined my watch or not. I do not recommend this store for any watch repair.

We brought a watch in for an estimate on replacing the crystal on 12/11/09. The gentleman said he would call with an estimate. After not hearing back, we went back to Arlington Coin and Watchworks on 1/8/10 to pickup the watch to take elsewhere. The clerk notified us that he had sent the watch out for repair and would call us when it returned. We reminded him that we had requested an estimate and did not hear back from him. He repeated "I will call you when the watch comes back." His behavior was completely unprofessional and puts us in a difficult situation of having to pay for a repair when we were never informed of how much it would cost. He would not respond when asked when the watch would be available, simply repeating "I will call you when the watch comes back." We do not feel comfortable paying for a repair that we did not authorize. I would like my watch back from this store as soon as possible so that I can give the business to someone else who treats his/her customers with respect.

Appraisal went well. Fast service and didn't have to make an appointment as I didn't have that many items.

What a miserable experience with a grumpy little man. The first watch was repaired. Not in a timely fashion, but it runs now. The salesman embarrassed me in front of other customers and was nasty on both occasions. Shame on me for going back the second time. I will not make the mistake again. I assume this guy is the owner, since no one would employee him. I hope business is good because the only other job he could get would be an embalmer.

They repaired a watch that was not running and replaced the crystal. The watch looked like new, and it runs beautifully. It was a watch that my 95 year old father received as a gift from his employer when he retired, and he was dismayed that it was not working properly. Having it renewed brings joy to my father each day.

I have been going to this shop for many years (watch repair, new watches/bands, it was located on 5th Ave near Grandview Ave.) I have always been pleased with the service. The owner is very knowledgeable and competent. And, I think that his charges are very fair.

I had inherited "many" silver dollars and had no clue what to do with them. I researched their value on the internet and decided to see if Christopher would deal with me instead of someone I didn't know through the internet. Christopher spent a great deal of his time going through the coins and educating me on their value. He not only purchased all the valuable coins at a very fair price but also paid for 100's of dollars of silver dollars that were worth their face value so I didn't have to make another trip to the bank.

I stopped in to the business one afternoon and detailed the work I wanted done (except that I actually had forgotten to request repair of the clasp). I was given the option of waiting for the work to be done or picking the watches up the next day. I chose to pick them up the next day. When I called to check if the watches were ready, I also related that I had forgotten to ask that the clasp be fixed. I was told the watches were ready and that the clasp would be done by the time I got there to pick them up. All the work was completed in a timely manner. And the total total cost was $9 and some change!

THEY DID A GREAT JOB. THE GENTLEMAN SEEMS QUITE KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT WATCHES AND COINS. IT WAS VERY CONVENIENT - HE CHANGED IT ON THE SPOT AND IT ONLY TOOK A MINUTE OR TWO AND WE WERE DONE.

MY SPOUSE QUESTIONED THE QUOTE WE WERE GIVEN. (BY THE OWNER, I WOULD ASSUME). AND THE MAN WAS VERY RUDE. HE JUST SAID OK AND TURNED AND WALKED AWAY FROM US AT THE COUNTER, OUR JAWS DROPPED. WHEN WE TRIED TO RE-ENGAGE HIM, HE ABSOLUTELY IGNORED US. IVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT IN MY LIFE. IT WAS A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!

I ASKED FOR AN ESTIMATE TO REPAIR A WATCH. HAVING NOT PAID MUCH FOR THE WATCH, I DIDNT WANT TO REPAIR IT IF IT WAS TOO MUCH. WITHOUT ASKING, THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY ($7) WHICH I NORMALLY DO MYSELF FOR AROUND $2.50. THEY TOOK THE WATCH AND SAID THEY WOULD CALL ME WITH AN ESTIMATE IN ABOUT A WEEK. THREE WEEKS LATER I CALLED THEM AND HE SAID THE WATCH WAS READY AND IT WOULD BE $20. THE GENTLEMAN WORKING IN THE STORE HAS THE PERSONALITY OF A TURNIP - I WILL CERTAINLY NOT BE GOING BACK.
