Duane is exceptional! We have used him twice to inspect homes prior to purchase. Both he and his assistant, Wendy, are friendly and courteous.
He arrives on time, comes prepared with the appropriate equipment, and performs inspections thoroughly and safely. We appreciate that he takes the time to explain things throughout the process. On both occasions, he submitted his full report via email in a timely manner.
If we need another home inspection in the future, we will be calling Duane.

Duane did a great job on the inspection. He picked up on many issue that the property had. However, Duane would not follow up in a cost effective way to deal with remedy requests made of the home seller. The seller agreed to repair all the issues that Duane pointed out. Thus, I requested that Duane return to the property to verify the many repairs. It took Duane a lengthy period of time to respond to my request, and when he did he wanted $100.00 per hour. I asked if we could negotiate a flat fee, he again took a lengthy time to reply, and then just said he would not do it. Duane needs to rethink how he will follow up with his customers on remedy requests. He should make a better attempt to stand by his product/service.

Overall great experience. The inspector walked through the house, explaining not only potential issues but very thorough in giving maitenance tips and advice on the homes as well. I was impressed with how thorough he was, even down to copying model numbers of major appliances into the report in case I'd need that for warranty or repairs later on. Overall very impressed and would definitely recommend!

We arrived a little late due to a snow storm and Duane was already walking around the house checking things. As soon as we got there he introduced himself. Extremely personable he got to know us as he checked everything out and explained in detail, ways we could improve things as well as explained things on the exterior we should be concerned about and things we didn't need to be.
After that he took time to document his exterior findings and then went through the entire inside of the house. Turning on things, running a load in the dishwasher, crawling through the attic and overall checking everything that needed to be done. He then walked us through the report and explained things we should know about taking care of a home and things that we should consider doing to get things up to snuff that were down the road projects. He also let us know 3-5 year problems to budget for as well as urgent needs to try and have the sellers fix for us.
During the inspection the snow storm got worse and he couldn't check the roof. We checked the weather and he offered to come back the next week when the roof was dry to finish the inspection at no extra charge!
The next week he sent us a detailed transaction report with pictures that we were able to then use when we work with the sellers of the house as well as reference for us when we live in the home.

Our realtor recommended Duane for our home inspection. We were not disappointed. Duane was punctual, professional, friendly, and very knowledgable. Duane spent a lot of time at the house with me and explained every part of the inspection and giving recommendations along the way. Duane answered all questions thoroughly, and the home inspection report he provided was very detailed. We asked the home seller to fix several items based on Duane's report, and after the items had been repaired, Duane came back to the house for a minimal fee to inspect all the repairs that had been made. Duane's knowledge and support through the home buying process made me feel much more at ease during the entire process. Based on Duane's knowledge, professionalism, and service, I would highly recommend him.

The inspection was a great experience. Duane was a true professional. He was on time and very kind. He was also very thorough with the inspection of the home. He covered every square inch of the home from top to bottom. Futhermore, he was patient and a great communicator on the issues that he found during the inspection. He took the time to answer any questions and teach his customers the profession of home inspection.

My realtor recommended Duane. She raved about him and he lived up to that. Duane is very professional and very thorough. He will take the time to explain everything in detail for you. He will not only explain what is wrong but also explains how things work. That was very helpful as a first time home owner and looking to learn about different aspects of my soon to be house. I found Duane on Angie's List. My son and daughter-in-law has written a contract on their first home and I needed to help them find someone to complete the inspection quickly, professionally and at a reasonable price.

WOW! What a delight it was to work with Duane. He made all the arrangements -- all we had to do was meet him at the house as he was completing the inspection. He walked us through every phase of the report on his laptop, pointed out the deficiencies, took us to the locations in the home which he recommended attention be given to and explained what could happen if the problems were not corrected. He was patient, extremely knowledgeable and never rushed us. THAT NIGHT he emailed the report along with photographs to our agent and to us.

A few weeks later I called Duane again after making an offer on a home for myself. Same timeliness, patience, thoroughness and professionalism. I wouldn't dream of letting anyone else inspect a home!

Duane showed up on time and was very friendly. He did a very thorough inspection and took the time to explain the problems he found as well as how to do some of them. He was very clear as to what needs fixed and what is maintenance for the future, I would definitely use again. Report was out within 24 hr and this was on a weekend.

I highly recommend Duane Anderson of Anderson Home Inspections. He was able to provide a home inspection within a couple days of being contacted, was flexible and worked with my schedule, and arrived on time and had all the necessary tools to do the job. He went on the roof and in the attic. He was not afraid to get dirty. He let me follow him around so I could see the issues and he took the time to explain things to me and did so in a manner I could understand. He was very professional and personable. His reports are thorough and provide additional information about home maintenance. As a first time home buyer I feel I have a good understanding of the maintenance I need to do immediately and over the next year

I called to make an appointment with Duane and he was able to give me a quote and an exact time that he would meet me at the house. He took care of coordinating the visit with my realtor and the listing realtor. He also asked if there were certain problem areas I had concerns about that he could spend extra time looking into. I was running a little behind on the day of the appointment, but Duane had showed up early and was already inspecting the roof and taking pictures. He was incredibly thourough and inspected every inch of the house. I am a first time homeowner, and after he finished, he took the time to "introduce" us to our new house and homeowner duties such as how to change our furnace filter, where our water valves were, etc. I recieved the report within 3 days which included everything he had showed us and a topline of his recommendations. We were very happy with Duane's work and we would be very happy to use his services in the future.

Duane is prompt, professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. No stone was unturned. The report gave us a very clear idea of what was needed for the house.

He started looking at the structure outside starting with the roof and chimney, gutters, power lines, sidewalks, etc. He talked about the negative slope to the house that would need additional dirt to fix. He looked at roof lines, tiles, down spouts, windows etc. When he looked at the inside he inspected the electrical, plumbing, heating units, opened every drawer, door and crawled into the crawl space and attic with a flashlight. I had an inspection on the house I am presently living in and the inspection was not nearly as detailed. I got a 34 page report from Anderson and a two page hand written report before.

He was on time, emailed us a very detailed list of things to fix or that could wait, also included pictures. He was great and I would use him again.

Duane was very punctual, nice, and professional. He inspected every floor, room and roof of the property. He even looked at the unfinished attic. Very complete and ready to answer our many questions with details. He was full of advices to improve the investment we are going to make.

Duane was fantastic to work with. Prompt, efficient and clearly invested in educating us about our investment as well as alerting us to potential problems. My one concern was that there were areas of the house that he was unable to access, the roof, one side of the house that sits right next to a fence, for example. As a first time home buyer, it is impossible to make a comparison, and don't know whether others might have been able to gain access or not. In either case, I would certainly feel comfortable calling Duane again.

This was a great experience! Mr. Anderson was very professional and took as much time was we needed to explain things to us and answer our questions. We came away with the satisfaction that our roof had been completed correctly. Mr. Anderson pointed out a few small "action items" for us. Mostly involving a few places that needed caulked or sealed.

From start to finish Duane showed fantastic professionalism. From the first call to schedule, he referred us to septic inspection company. Scheduled the inspection with thoughtful consideration for the seller's time. He went above and beyond by called the septic company after I had scheduled them so they could schedule their inspection at the same time to keep from having to interrupt the lives of the sellers. Duane presented himself in neat professional attire. Nice clean cut hair. Hate to say it but these things make a big difference before he even started the inspection. His inspection was extremely thorough and thoughtful for both sellers and buyers. Electrical outlets were marked for ease of finding the areas of concern. Photos were taken and included in the very professional report. Good writing skills. His summary hit the high points of concern and throughout the report, more detail could be found. My fianc is very detail oriented. He liked the service we received. That says a lot.

Duane arrived on schedule and proceeded in a thorough and orderly manner to check every detail of the house, inside and out. He was able to point out details and flaws that could have easily gone unnoticed and offered advice on operation and maintenance that will help to minimize operating costs and prolong the life of materials and equipment.

As first time home buyers, we appreciated Duane's knowledge and patience with all of our questions. He scheduled the appointment at our convenience and was very prompt with providing the home inspection report. We were both very pleased and felt confident with the knowledge Duane provided us about the house.

Duane as an absolute pleasure to work with, I'm referring him to my brother who also needs a home inspection. Could not have asked for a better job. While I suspect no property is perfect, I feel completely secure that I know exactly what I'm getting for my money now.
