I have been using them for close to 30 years. They are first class, fair and they discuss the products and then do a realistic evaluation of what your needs are and match the products with your needs. They don't try to sell you a Cadillac when all you need is a cruise.

There was no clean up involved, the duct work and everything they did was a thing of beauty! They did great work, and they advised me to go online to register the prodcuts to receive the warranties for them. They were very pleasant, timely and completed the work in the estimated time!

I called them on Tuesday morning and scheduled service - best estimate was "before Friday." Dennis called ahead on Wednesday at 12:30 and arrived about 1:00. He checked the capacitor and found it defective and replaced it. Also cheched the fan capacitor and found it OK. He then measured Freon pressures and superheat temperture and added 1 pound of Freon. He cleaned the coil and showed me how to do that myself. Did not try to sell a new unit. Charge was reasonable at $188. They take check or cash, no plastic. I knew this in advance, so no problem. He answered all my questions and explained what he was doing as he went along. Very pleasant fellow. I plan to use this company in the future for all heating and cooling services.

I have had Bob work on my furnace and air conditioning system for several years now. I was told by a different company when my Carrier furnace was about 13 yrs old that it needed to be replaced (I had had several problems with it for about 5 yrs before that). I decided to get a 2nd opinion and a friend suggested I call Bob at Ameritron. After thorough testing, he told me I didn't need a new furnace yet, that the corrosion the other company had called my attention to (and said that I could have carbon monoxide problems any time) was normal and that there was no reason to replace the furnace. From then on, I've had Bob inspect the furnace and air conditioning every year before the start of the season. All the problems I'd been having previously with the furnace disappeared. Even this year after Bob went through the annual check, he said that it should make it through the winter just fine. I decided some time in November to have him replace the furnace anyway for the tax credit and asked if the air conditioning system needed to be replaced as well. He said my air conditioning still had plenty of life left in it and that it would work with the new furnace. It's this type of honesty and professionalism that has impressed me. Bob also takes the time to explain what he's doing and why in detail. The installation of the new furnace went well and everything was cleaned up perfectly. And on top of everything else, he has very reasonable prices. I was at first concerned because I'd never heard of Goodman, but after checking them out online and reading several articles, I discovered that all furnace parts are made by only a few manufacturers today so there is very little difference between brands anymore. The big difference is who's doing the installation and whether or not they know what they're doing and don't take shortcuts. I knew then that with Bob the new furnace was going to be just fine.

I have known Bob and used his professional services for roughly 30 years or more… longer than he has been in business under his own company's name. Over the years, Bob has troubleshot and repaired many heating problems for my family home. When we owned a duplex, we used him to design and install our central cooling systems for both sides of our house. Bob is always trustworthy, very professional, and a great communicator. He let's you know honestly what to expect and how much it may cost as he sorts through the various problems that come up in heating and cooling systems. I have dealt with him in a commercial setting as well as at home. He is realistic and honest about the time frames in which he can respond to problems. He does not make empty promises. Bob can be trusted to give good advice without any pressure to buy something. He is not the cheapest alternative in the business but his prices are fair and reasonable. Bob is a man of integrity. You get what you pay for with Ameritron.

Bob explained the air handling system in my house, which I had not fully understood before. On the estimate visit, he walked through the house and looked at all vents and duct work. He pointed out changes he would make for the newer system. He was punctual and worked hard to fit within my schedule. Bob leaves an emergency number to phone if there are issues. When a smoke alarm went off about two months after he installed the unit, he answered my call and helped me figure out that it was the problem with the smoke detector and not the unit. I would work with him again - although I probably won't have to!

He also serviced my air conditioning unit and gave me a lot of good suggestions on how to maintain it showing me how to clean it and told me what to clean it with. He was very professional, and I would call him again to come back out. This was a excellent experience, and I would recommend and use him again for any air conditioning or heating problems.
