Airtron Heating and Air Conditioning has done a skillful job.

We've used them for about 40 years! They always do a great job. We also have a maintenance plan with them to make sure our systems are working properly. They are always prompt and will send someone on the weekend if needed.

dy writing up an estimate for a new furnance and A/C. We declined and got another company to look at the system and found that it needed a charge of freon. That left a very soured experience with this company and to think we have used them since 1974. Not Anymore.

Requested service for my furnace. The heater was making a loud noise. Sounded like a fan. The house temperature was now down to 60 degrees. They were the original install company and had a decent rating with Angie's List. They up-saled me a year's service contract for $169 that had to be bought before they arrived for service. I could have just paid $89 for the service call, but if I went with their service, this was the better deal. The representative came out and reviewed everything. I was told that the inducer needed replaced and that the unit was so dirty, that it would need to be cleaned. The air inducer would cost $769, $307 to clean the vents and another $807 to clean the coil. They recommended just buying a new heater. With sticker shock, I put the price and advice out on Facebook. My friend had a husband that worked in HVAC. He came over and fixed the issue without charging me. The issue was fixed in 15 minutes.

I will definitely continue to use them in the future.

They were excellent. They came the day we called them. He didn't have the part in stock but he came within 24 hours with the part to install it. He took off his shoes in my house and he was very professional. He took pictures before he started working. He explained every aspect of the malfunction. I would not recommend them in Florida but in Ohio they were great. My nephew used the guys in Ohio and he thought they were great. The price was competitive with the area.

I was told the following: Compressor wasn't starting but a start capacitor did the trick. To keep the start capacitor on the compressor, it would cost me $400 and he actually showed me a laminated price sheet. Even if I paid $400, the compressor was going to die soon based on the sound it's making. I was also told I had a freon leak and they needed to test it for $170 but they weren't certified to refill it after they were done and I would need to contact someone else. Based on 1,2,and 3 the technician recommended a whole new system for upwards of $4,000. (A salesman called me 5 minutes after the technician left.) I said no thank you, ordered a start capacitor online for $20, and installed it myself. I also paid for a service contract. When I tried to use it 3 times, they re-scheduled each time. I ceased doing business with them and cut my losses. One year later I had another company come out to look at my A/C. Not only did they find the root of the problem, not requiring a start capacitor btw, they were shocked at the prices I was being quoted. The provided me a long term fix much less than $400. My compressor is perfectly fine and has run for 2 years since Airtron said I needed an entire new unit. If you can afford a $4,000 mistake, do business with Airtron. If you can't, keep shopping

They are the ones who installed the furnace and A/C unit and check them twice a year. They come on time and do great work!

Overall it went well. The tech forgot to turn the AC on at the breaker outside and it was cool at this time. We turned the AC on that Friday, when it heated up and it was not working. They sent a tech out that evening to service this and he found that the tech did not turn the AC back on. Since they did the right thing and got someone there that evening at no charge, I gave them an A.

They responded to our call quickly, and fixed the fully resolved the issue. We were very happy with their service.

They are just great. They are very reliable, knowledgeable, and professional. They are very easy to work with and I will continue to use this company.

Everything has been great. I really like this company. Our serviceman is great and I always ask for him.

This was the first time I've used this company. The service call was so thorough. I was really impressed with how much time he spent checking our equipment and how honest he was with his report. I can't remember the cost but I know it was certainly worth it. He was very friendly, not only the gentleman that came out but the people on the phone as well. The A/C system is the original unit from when the house was built in 1989 and it still works wonderfully. The thing that made me happiest was that he didn't try to tell us that we need to get a new unit, he was completely honest about his report.

My AC abruptly stopped working on June 11and the digital thermostat went blank. I called Airtron and they had a serviceman over on June 15. That morning the thermostat was back on.After listening to my report and thoroughly checked the AC unit, he couldn't find anything wrong. Fortunately, just before he left the same type of incident occurred. He was able to determine that the high voltage to the furnace was cutting out. He recommended that I call an electrician which I did.

Great! He was on time and completed the work very quickly and efficiently.

They were on time when they arrived. It was a standard service - the quality seems to be fine. We have a service contract for the year. Moreover, it was a special offer, so it was a good price. I would use them again in the future.

Tech showed up on time, called before he came and was polite. However, after about 20 minutes vacuuming, he called me down to the basement to tell me that the furnace had a cracked heat exchanger and it was emitting carbon monoxide. I had a detector in the basement that had not gone off, but he said his detector was more sensitive than ones that the general public can purchase at hardware stores. He shut off the furnace and scheduled another person to come out to tell me how much repairs or replacement would cost. It is an older furnace, so I was thinking that replacement would likely be necessary. The next person to come was a saleswoman. She did come on time and later the same afternoon. She was not prepared to talk about any repair options. She had two different furnace systems to sell and was only there to discuss which one I wanted to purchase. She was totally unprepared to discuss any energy rebates that were available at the time. Those rebates would have effected the overall cost of the system. She seemed to not understand why this was information that a consumer would want to know. Her two systems would have cost either 3,931 or 6639 before any rebates were applied. I lost my patience with this woman because she was unprepared, it was late and getting colder as she talked. By the time she left, it was too late in the day to get anyone else out that day. Overnight, I decided to get a second opinion. A different furnace repair company came out the next morning, did a little more cleaning and did not detect the leak that was so apparent the day before. They looked again at the supposed crack using a magnifying scope, it was apparent that this was a discoloration mark, not a crack as I had been told the day before. Angies List should think twice about using this company for more "Deals of the Day" - this one was a bad deal!

They were very professional. They performed their inspection and noted that the furnace was using more gas than was necessary so the gentleman adjusted the gas valve. It has been years since the last furnace inspection. I was very pleased with this company and would use them again.

Just moved in to my 85-year old Bexley home 6-weeks ago and wanted to be sure the gas furnace was working properly. Took advantage of an Angie's List email promoting their "Big Deal" (which read: "Airtron Heating and Air Conditioning, a highly rated and licensed contractor on Angie's List, is offering a complete furnace tune-up for only $44.50! This service is normally valued at $89, saving Angie's List members half off!). I've lived in an all-electric house for the past 20 years and being a single woman, wanted to learn everything I could about how a my "scary" gas furnace operates. The technician (Sean) that came out was courteous/professional and explained everything about the furnace to me as I sat next to him the entire time and took notes. He went above and beyond the call of duty with his "tutorial", answering all my questions, and walking me through the layout of the ducts, air returns, vents, and much more. He told me about the service plans available, but without any "hard sell" tactics - which I appreciated. You have a good employee in Sean, Airtron - he is a keeper!

I was very pleased with the service. The technician was knowledgeable and polite. He answered all of my questions and provided solid tips for regular maintenance on my HVAC system. He also explained how to balance the heating and cooling with the duct vent controls. The technican did not try to sell me anything which I appreciate. He did review with me an annual service plan that I could invest in if I would choose to do so.

I decided to go with Airtron Heating and Air Conditioning because I received a promotional email from Angies List regarding "50% off furnace tune-up with no break down guarantee!" an inspection and cleaning of Furnace by "highly" recommended company. 1. This is just a sales person they send out that happends to know how to clean a furnace. 2. If they were highly rated I just had the most unprofessional "salesman/hvac tech" in the company. -he was late and I had to leave work early -he repeatedly called me "chief" and I decided maybe that is how he communicates, so I called him "chief" (and he didn't like it either) -he immediately told me that the furnace was too old to service, and I told him that I made that clear with the receptionist before I scheduled the appointment and she said that should not be a problem and that her furnace is the same age and still is being serviced. -he was not able to communicate the cost of replacing the furnace and ac and a seperate "comfort specialist" would need to come out to give me an estimate. -the "sales man/hvac tech" told me of the carbon monoxide scare tactic even though I have a carbon monoxide detector right by the furnace he said I should have one by a vent on the lower level. But he did the carbon monoxide test right by the detector, hmm I guess I will still follow his reccomendation and get a 2nd carbon monoxide detector by a vent on the lower level. 3. Ultimately the company was unable to fulfill the "no break down guarantee" and then he left but only to sit in my driveway for another 10 minutes before the awful experience was complete.

Original Tech performed service and reported abnormal carbon monoxide reading and a warning about the fan motor. Unfortunately, he did not offer solutions. Asked the office for another service call to clarify original findings. Airtron's response was exceptional. "the old guy" came out, checked the system extensively and found no CO in the airflow or in the basement. What could have been a major issue for us was solved quickly and efficiently with an excellent focus on providing good customer service.

This is the second heat pump they have installed for us. They have serviced our systems since 1982.

Somewhat impersonal estimator showed up, took a few measurements, wrote a couple prices on a standard form, and recited the quote to me. No information was provided on the manufacturer's furnaces -- he just referred me to a website (not their's).
