Airtron Heating & Air Conditioning

This repair went very well for the reasons outlined above. My only concern is that I have had a service contract with Airtron for routine, biannual tune-ups. Given the nature of the repair today it seems to me that the circuit board problem could have been detected on prior, scheduled maintenance visits. I will not be having routine service performed again because it doesn't seem to be worth it.

Much better than expected. Not only did they perform maintenance checks on both units, I've always had trouble with one of the units where a humidifier would run whenever the fan was running not when only the heating cycle was running like it should have. Other service reps stated 'That was the way it was' and there wasn't anything they could do to correct it. It shouldn't have been and it took Airtron to straighten it out. We'll save water and be more comfortable during the winter months. I considered there performance on the humidifier above and beyond but...not only did they perform expectational work on both of our HVAC units when the service technician had completed the work he tuned my guitar. Now who would have thought that an HVAC technician would have such talents? Now that's really going above and beyond to me.

They actually called me because I hadn't called for a while and wanted to know if I needed my system checked. I did,and they made an appointment for a couple weeks in the future. The tech was prompt and said all was ok. He described what he did, and how everything looked.

The consultant showed up on time for our appointment; wish I had read the comments more carefully because like others, this consultant not only did a hard sell but tried to sell me a $14,000 plus HVAC system without letting me see a single picture of the units, and without leaving with me any documentation on my options, models, etc. I was somehow mysteriously supposed to keep all the options that exist today in my head. For fairness, Airtron was not the only company well-regarded on Angie's list that did not come prepared to leave me any documentation that I could calmly look over before shelling out a substantial amount of money. So far, Airtron is the only one that insisted repeatedly, "why don't you just sign up for a unit now," even though I informed the consultant I was still in the process of interviewing companies and getting estimates. Moreover, if any calaculations were done concerning HVAC load, I could not tell you. The estimate included model numbers (and brand after I insisted, not that I was given a choice of brand), but could not tell you what BTU's the furnace, nor how that was calculated. No brochures, no documentation, no options as to brands, but a very hard sell on a brand they had rebates on. Read the consumer reports guildelines for buying a new HVAC and what you information a good contractor should provide you, including the calculations they should be willing to provide. It is worth the year's subscription.

Got here on time and told me what the problem was, which was due to a problem with the electric, not them.

This company is great! They keep records of all our service dates and actually call to remind us when it's time for our routine maintenance. Since we pay for the yearly contract up front, these visits are already paid for regardless of whether they are performed or not so, it wouldn't necessarily matter to the company if we were to forget a routine maintenance appointment less work for them. Yet they make sure this never happens! Also, we've had to call their emergency service number late at night on a weekend when our furnace would not turn on and they had a technician out to our home the same night. Outstanding!

The meeting went fine. But there was NO follow-up. We were told that we would receive an estimate via e-mail after he spoke to the engineers about our current system, which Airtron installed when the house was built. Waited more than a month for an estimate. Tried to call, no response, sent an e-mail, no response. Their business must really be good if they can ignore a customer like that.

Made the appointment for the estimate and they came out right away. I was told that any good HVAC company should inspect your entire home and all its vents before giving an estimate. The representative from Airtron, had our estimate prepared before he even arrived at our home, based only of the square footage of our home. He did look at the current system we have, but did not look at any other rooms, the vents or the air returns. We asked them to give us an estimate on a system they carry, but did not provide it. They gave us an estimate on another brand they carry, which was fine, but appears that they were getting some type of kick back from that brands company. Even when we made the initial call to the company and told them the brand we were interested in, they told us we should only consider another brand. Seems strange. After having another company come out, spend over an hour inspecting our home, looking at our current system, all its vents, air returns and the true size of our home, we decided to go with that company instead.

Very pleased with how the service went. Not only did they clean the drain and get it operational on a continuous basis, the technician installed a water trap type drain which helps the Radon system used in the home. The Radon company that installed our Radon system could not install the standard water trap that would work efficiently but Airtron came up with a process that so far (one week) is working great. They then checked both of our HVAC units and adjusted as needed. We purchased the preventative maintenance program they have where they come out twice a year and check the heating and air conditioning units plus other benefits with the program.

He seemed polite and knowledgeable.

They always show up on time to do the work. They are very friendly when they are working. They clean up everything when they are done working. They always keep their feet clean when they come in the house.

They do a great job, they are always on time, responsive, and thorough.

Our experience was good. Our air conditioner broke so they came out sand did a diagnosis. They ended up installing a new air conditioner and heater. They know what they're doing. I would recommend them and use them again.

If they are running late, they call to let you know. They are very good. They are very customer orientated. They do what they say they are going to do. They are very reliable. He was very careful as to not get my house dirty.

They were very friendly when they were here working for us. They were very professional about the job. They had showed up on time to do the work for us.

I was told by the salesman that they would arrive between 8-8:30 a.m on the scheduled day. They were still not at my house by 9 a.m and I called the company. They were running late due to a staff meeting that morning. They were very apologetic, but it would have been nice to have been notified of this ahead of time. I had somewhere to be that morning and I was waiting for them to arrive before I could leave. They were very careful about covering my floors with tarps and they cleaned up after themselves. The installation project was quite extensive and required a second day. Luckily, my job has a little bit of flexibility, but the second day took much longer than I had anticipated. I know that sometimes things don't always go as planned, so I try to give workers/companies the benefit of the doubt. That being said, it was still a slightly frustrating experience. I would hire them again because I feel that they do know what they are doing, they kept my house clean, and they followed through with what they said they were going to do.

They were extremely professional throughout the installation.

Airtron called about 20-30 minutes before the tech arrived. Eric came in, got right to work and found some issues. At first, we thought that we needed a new heater, but Eric placed a few calls, asked questions, and found that the CO2 readings that we were getting was all because of the improper ventilation work that was done when the unit was installed. He was very patient with me as I was trying to place calls, he spoke with my husband at work and explained the situation to him. Eric was very pleasant.

They put a new filter in for me, and they did a terrific job. I have asthma, and this is absolutely wonderful. I would recommend them to others.

Very well. Original estimate was for a more expensive and complex solution. However, when a more experienced company representative (Mr. Warner) reviewed the job he recommended an alternative that was less expensive and with less risk of mechanical failure over time.

I had to leave work early because they had someone in the area 4 hours sooner than my original appointment time. The man came out, did his thing, and the a/c works fine.

I was really pleased. Shawn was the tech, he was very helpful. they came out at 7pm and took his time and explained things.

He told us what was wrong with the heat pump. He said we needed to clean it out. He wanted to do it himself but my husband is very handy. My husband did so and it worked perfectly. He ended up power washing it.

They were on time and the gentleman that came out took the time to talk about any issues we had and answer our questions.

Very pleased with work. Came out to give us a price a day after we called and was able to start installation the same day we signed the contract. Removed existing furnace and A/C and replaced them within 1 1/2 days. Since it is the winter time, they made sure we had heat by the end of the first day.
