Kent is the man if you ever find wood rot on your windows. We bought a home with a lot of wood rot issues on the windows. He is fair and honest with pricing and does a wonderful job with the restoration. He’s also a fun guy to work with; I learned a lot.

Kent Buel, owner of Affordable Creations, did an excellent job on our wood window repair project. We had trouble finding someone who would take on a fairly small repair job, or who would even look at it to give us an estimate. We were extremely pleased with the job from start to finish. Not only is the workmanship top notch, the price was very reasonable and there was nothing left to clean up when the job was done. Both Kent and his son who helped him with the job were very respectful of our property. The windows he worked on look brand new!! If you have wood windows that need repaired Kent is your man. We highly recommend him.

The experience working with Kent was amazing. I called and after describing the problem with two double hung windows, he was able to stop by the house, take measurements and explain to us what was broken. He called a few days later to let us know he had identified a source of the needed replacement parts (for a manufacturer no longer in business and windows original to the house built in 1987), and the cost of the total repair. We asked him to proceed and as soon as the parts (window sash supports) arrived, he scheduled the repair. The repair was more complicated than anticipated, requiring length adjustment of the springs for the upper sash, but Kent was able to make everything fit perfectly. The operation of the window is like new, gliding easily into the desired position. Kent also made useful suggestions about paint/stain touch-ups for worn places on the wood frames and where I could buy the needed type of stain. It's a pleasure to do business with Kent, who possesses great skill and deep knowledge in wood window repair.

Kent has helped our family with various requests (replacing sum pump, repairing baseboards, painting, replacing light fixtures) multiple times over the past year. Although he is very busy, he tries to squeeze us in even when he is pretty booked. Last year our basement flooded and he helped us that evening. When we had trouble with our furnace,he was ready to come over at 9 pm as he didn't want us to be cold over the night; fortunately, he was able to walk us through the problem via the telephone. He is very professional, passionate about his work, and provides good advice/suggestions as needed. He is definitely someone I trust, recommend and will call again for future projects.

The bottom rail of one of my windows (double-paned) had rotted away. Rather than replace the entire window, I wanted to have the rail replaced or repaired.  After calling one of the other contractors on Angies List listed under windows, they recommended Kent as they did not handle the repair I was looking for.  I called Kent and described the work.  He gave a rough estimate over the phone.  After we consulted the weather (the window would need to be boarded up if rain was forecasted.) , we picked a date for the repair.  He arrived on time, reviewed the work to be done, finalized the estimate, removed the window to take to his shop.  He was able to return with the repaired window later that afternoon.  Window looked good as new.

Process went well, we were able to get the work done over a weekend and the cost was very reasonable.

Gave me a quote over the phone for a two-trip job and we made an appointment for several days later. Friendly and efficient, pretty much a one-man handy-man company.

Kent is a miracle worker and a genuine jack-of-all-trades! He is friendly, punctual, and wonderfully competent. In Kent's own words, he 'just loves fixing things!' His prices are also very affordable for the high quality work that he does. I would highly recommend him to anyone on Angie's List, especially anyone getting ready to sell their home who just needs a helpful pair of extra hands!!!
