John was very polite and quick to respond to my requests for new keys for my front and back doors. He worked around my schedule and came on the day he promised very promptly, even though it was one of the coldest days of the seasons so far! He changed the locks in a very short amount of time and did a wonderful job. He even oiled the door knobs and squeaky hinges on my door!!

I manage an office building in downtown Columbus and one of the tenants came to me late Tuesday afternoon to report that his key was stuck in lock for his suite. The situation was a bit unique in that the lock was within a glass door (Hercules). I called a half dozen locksmiths; some of which I had used before. But they were either unavailable due to the late hour or not interested in doing the work as it involved getting down on their knees. One said he could do the work, but quoted me a price of over $500! After 5:30, no one was answering their phone so I locked the floor off from public access and called it a day. The next morning I called Ace Lock and Safe, after being reminded that they'd come out before. John asked if this needed to be handled that day. I said that it did, and he was here within the hour -- with an assistant. I recognized John immediately, but couldn't explain why I didn't have Ace on my rolodex (yes, I still have and use a rolodex). I have since corrected that oversight. They quickly diagnosed the problem. Luckily, the work did not require any parts being replaced. To correct the issue, he simply needed to clear debris that was blocking the cylinder from making a complete rotation. As long as they was there, I had them remove and clean the lock as a preventative measure. Response time was excellent, service was friendly and professional and the price was very reasonable.The next time I have a need for a locksmith (home or business), they will be my first call.
