This was one of the best contracting experiences we have ever had. The result was a beautiful refinishing, staining, and polyurethane coating of our hardwood floors. In addition, the company did everything they said they would exactly when they said they would. The even gave me a refund for polyurethane they bought but didn’t require for the job! I cannot recommend them more highly. We are beyond satisfied.

There wasn’t a question I had, that Chaz couldn’t answer. I’ve had my floors done in the past with the big companies, to use all the promotional discounts I could get. It wasn’t until the guys at Unique finished my floors, that I understood the Ol “ya get what you pay for” adage. Several years ago Chaz and his team did a remarkable job replacing a wood floor in a 500 sq ft sunroom at my home. This floor has well withstood the test of time, as could be projected from skill of craftsmanship and attention to detail his team displayed at the time of installation. We recently purchased an older Clintonville home that had wall-to-wall carpeting throughout. When we checked and saw hardwood floors under the carpet, we were excited to get to work on pulling it all up and restoring the floors to their original glory. However, we quickly discovered that the carpet was hiding years of dog urine stains, some of which were so severe that the wood was beyond repair. We did our research and found Unique Hardwood Floors, thankfully. I called Chaz and left a message. He called me back within hours and luckily was able to stop by the next day to give us his diagnosis/estimate. We were definitely worried that the floors were too far gone, but Chaz immediately put our minds at ease. He was honest about the fact that many of the deeper pet stains wouldn't disappear entirely, and that the very damaged patch would need to be replaced. They took care of the buying new planks of white and red oak, and blending them in a couple weeks ahead of the sanding so that they could acclimate. Chaz kept us updated throughout the entire process, and offered his professional advice at times when we needed it. The team was respectful of the house, efficient and amazingly clean. We couldn't be happier with how the floors turned out, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future!

I have used Unique Hardwood flooring 3 times now for various projects and they are hands down the best and most talented craftsman that I have every worked with. They refinished and patched the 130 year old floors in my home 10 years ago and they still look brand new. They toothed in and refinished reclaimed flooring for my home's addition and it looks like it has always been there, and for my latest project (before and after pics below) they transformed some truly horrible pine floors from the 1920 into absolutely beautiful flooring in a new rental property. Chaz, Jesse, and crew are always a pleasure to work, they are very communicative and arrive on time, their prices are great value, and the end product is truly transformative. If you are looking to get your floors re-done, especially if you are refinishing historic flooring, Chaz and co are amazing! Note: the shine in the pics is because the polyurethane is still wet. Chaz was very responsive to our requests, and his team did a great job fixing the floors our extra bedroom in our condo. There was a deep gash, and cat urine smell and dark stain that was left by a previous tenant in our rental property. Floor boards were replaced and then a larger section was sanded and polyurethaned. We can't even tell where the stain or gashes are anymore. We are very happy with the end result.

Excellent! I've been putting up with smelly carpet for a long time. Thanks to Chaz, his crew of Anthony and George and also Jessy and Son on an occasion, now I have a home I look forward getting back to. The work went well. We used them for our first floor work approximately a year and a half before we had them do our second floor. They are friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend!

Chaz and the team did an outstanding job. They worked with me on the color selection and other options. They communicated very well with me, alerting me when they would arrive and what to expect. My floors look beautiful now!

They removed shoe molding, hung plastic to secure the rooms, sanded the floors, applied the stain and then the coats of poly. (over a 3 day period). They always let me know before they arrived each day and updated me on their progress and what would still need to be done. The floors look great. This is the second job they have done for me and I am very happy with the results

Once again Unique Hardwood flooring did amazing work in our home. They repaired damage to a hardwood floor that had been caused by the following events: 1. We bought carpet from Ritrug. The carpet fitter dragged furniture across our hardwood floor and damaged it. 2. Riterug eventually sent "Surface Experts" to try and repair the damage. It didn't work. The damage remained. 3. Ritrug sent Surface Experts out again. They applied something to the floor that made it even worse. After this experience I was done with Ritrug. So I reached out to Chaz at Unique Hardwood Flooring. They did an amazing job of repairing the damage. Its like the disaster never happened. They do amazing work.

We used Unique Hardwood Floor LLC three years ago to work on the floors of a 70 year old home that needed a great deal of work. Some floors needed repairs, some were replaced and others just needed to be refinished. It was a complicated job as they needed to blend the old and the new to create a seamless look from room to room. They did a sensational job, so this fall we called them back to refinish all of the floors on the 2nd floor of our home. We are pleased to say that have maintained their high standards of service. Unique has sanded, stained and sealed hardwood floors in several of our properties. Typically there was carpet covering pet stains, water damage in which they replaced the boards as appropriate. Our most recent property had two different woods in rooms next to each other. Always provides great advice on whether darker or lighter stains were appropriate given the condition of the wood. Very responsive, well priced, professional and our floors have always looked dynamite. Definitely will continue to use them and recommend them.

Chaz and his team were wonderful. He was punctual and even drove 1 hour to lay flooring in my rental home with the team. The team was courteous and their woot was excellent.

Excellent job! Chaz's crews did a fantastic job from replacing a few boards to sanding and refinishing. They were friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. When I pulled the carpet up I found a 3" and a 5 " hole in 1 of the rooms. The other room had a couple cracked boards. Chaz sent his repair crew out to replace several boards. Also there was plenty of paint spilled on the wood floor years ago and covered with carpet. You can't tell that now after the sanding crew worked their magic. Chaz and crews are very responsive and punctual.

Unique Flooring was amazing from the start all the way through to finish. They answered our questions and many texts to keep us informed every step of the way. We were truly impressed with the quality of work and the customer service experience, way better than we expected. We had a problem with our toilet leaking after the floors were done and Chaz & crew stepped in and helped us out right away and I can't thank them enough for all that they did. Our house looks completely different and we get a lot of compliments on our floors. I highly recommend this company! They are very well priced in comparison to their competition and their reviews are truly what sold us to use them. We would definitely use Unique Flooring again for future needs.

Chaz, the owner, was very transparent and talked us through the entire process. The overall cost was around the same (or slightly less) compared to two other, larger companies in the area due to us purchasing the flooring ourselves at a discount. We made a mistake and ordered incorrectly, so we had to reschedule our installation. Chaz accommodated us and rescheduled us within 72 hours, and everything went great the day of. Very professional team with high quality work, and they cleaned up afterwards as well (which is rare). Would highly recommend (and will use them again)!
