3 Day Blinds Columbus

Fantastic, the designer had great recommendations and the installer as well. Very efficient. The only thing is that if you want them installed in “3days” it’s much more pricey than if you were to wait a week or 2 for install.

A sales rep came to the house to take measurements and solicit an order.  We showed her exactly what brand and type of blinds we wanted (since we already had the same kind of blinds in a different room).  She said we must pay 100% in advance (including installation) just to place an order, which didn't sit well, but then she started bombarding us with emails and phone calls and we foolishly went ahead.   About ten days later a man called and said the blinds were ready.  He came and installed  two of the blinds, but said  that the other two blinds weren't on his truck., He said someone would be back the next day to finish.   Over a week later someone called and said they were still trying to track down the missing blinds.   A week or so after that, in response to my emails,  the sales rep said the manufacturer shipped them to the wrong place, and promised that they would have them in a day or two.  A week after that  -- over a MONTH  after I placed the order and paid for the blinds -- a man finally showed up to install the the two missing blinds.  But this time, he realized that the valence didn't fit properly and said they will have to modify some parts and come back again to finish the job. This was despite the fact that they had the valance and could have checked it the first time they came. This is a company that calls itself "3-day Blinds" -- which is a complete joke, just like their inventory controls and installation training.     If I didn't have physical disabilities I could have done the job myself in one day  for 1/4 the price.   Don't pay in advance, or you'll be at their mercy. A reputable company that keeps its promises doesn't require customers to pay for services before they are performed.

Overall, it was a satisfactory experience. We purchased a "new" to them Hunter Douglas product which caused a little confusion in installation. The installer was polite, cleaned up after the installation, but a little chatty.

We were very satisfied from start to finish.

The salesperson didn't sell us anything! She couldn't answer our questions very well. I wanted to know why I should go with 3 Day Blinds over anyone else, but all she could say was, "there's a difference in quality" but no specific details.
She said she was used with coming to homes that were still under construction, but she wore heels and had a hard time getting over the gravel to the house. She made my husband carry her bag for her. She sat down on the steps and her rear was entirely covered in white drywall dust for the rest of the day. I know some of these things are small and petty, but added together it just left me with an unprofessional image.
She didn't have nearly the amount of sample products to view as another company we had come out. We mostly looked at pictures in a catalog. And she didn't have an acceptable solution to our very high great room windows. And I didn't trust her measurements since the window casings and trim weren't in yet but she made no mention of having to come out again for more accurate measurements (which we didn't know we would need until we had someone from another company come out).
Maybe their product and other service is fantastic. But we'll never know because they lost us with that salesperson.

Don't deal with this company.

The salesperson was wonderful, and the whole experience was very good. However, don't be fooled by the name. The blinds still have to be ordered, and you still have to wait. The product they use isn't as good as what I ended up using, and it was more expensive.

The appointment was easy to set up on the web, and the sales person arrived promptly. She was very knowledgeable and quickly measured the windows, helped pick out the blinds, entered the order on her laptop, and printed out a copy of the order. When the blinds arrived they were installed very nicely. From the order date until installation took three weeks, so don't be fooled by the name "3 Day Blinds" it should be called more like "3 Week Blinds."

We visited the store and scheduled a free in-home consultation. Teresa then came to our house with the sample books. She actually came over on a Sunday due to our busy schedules. 3 Day Blinds had an excellent selection. We requested that 3 Day Blinds install the blinds ($60 of the cost) so it wasn't one more project I had to complete. The materials and installation cost seemed high for two window blinds, but it was nice to just get it done. It should be noted that it takes longer than three days for the blinds to be completed and shipped from California to Ohio. It was about two weeks from ordering to installation. It might have been sooner but the installers were only available in the middle of the day. The better appointments had apparently already been booked. The installers did arrive on time for the appointment. The blinds feel well made and work well. We finally took down the newspaper we had taped over the windows!
