My house was built in 1928. A worker on my house clogged up the drains with concrete inside my 3 stationary tubs in the basement. Nothing would drain properly. I called Ken Neyer Plumbing (513/353-3311)
The plumber was pleasant to deal with and gave me an overview of what could be involved in fixing the problem. Thankfully the easiest course of action worked! He also fixed a minor problem at no charge. (Ken Neyer Plumbing 513/353-3311).
(( Some technicians do not like having the customer ask questions)). Mike answered my questions and made sure I understood what he was talking about.
Great, no more water in our basement when it rains - Yeah!!
April, 2006, I purchased my new ADA Condo (Americans with Disabilities Act) in Harrison Ohio.
Ken Neyer's Plumbing Inc. did the plumbing for this Condo.
1st Major Leak from my shower, (Jan. 9, 2008), soaked the ceiling below me, a loose drain connection,
from installation.
2nd, Major Leak, (June, 2013), soaked the same ceiling below again, from a large break in my Lasco
Bathware Shower floor (see Pic. #1 and Pic. #2) also, per Lasco Bathware, breaks in the floor of my
shower are an indication of not having the Required Amount of the ADA Mandatory, Foundation Material
under the floor of my Lasco Shower to solidify for wheelchair support. By not having placed this material
under the floor of my Lasco shower, I consider this to be an incomplete install for my Lasco Shower.
Please note, 2 pictures sent earlier: Pic. #1 shows the ugly breaks in my Lasco Bathware Shower floor,
Pic. #2, shows a yard stick that slipped fairly easy for approx.10 inches through the break and under my
Lasco Shower Floor where there should have been the Required amount of the ADA Mandatory,
Foundation Material. but wasn't
Doug, Ken Neyer Plumbing Inc. visited my Condo, and confirmed the breaks in my shower floor.
Note, the Website: 'installation data - 1603BFSC' enter & select. Note the 'Installation Data sheet
from Lasco Bathware', Section A, line 5, of the Pre-installation & Planning, states the Foundation
Materials, Per ADA, are Mandatory under the bottom of this unit to solidify for wheelchair support.
The breaks in my Lasco Shower are the results of an incomplete install, i.e. the Missing, and Required,
ADA Mandatory Foundation Material under the floor of my1603BFSC Laco Shower, to Solidify for
Wheelchair Support.
Due to the damages, and loss of my 1603BFSC, Lasco Bathware Shower, as noted above, and caused
by two major leaks from My Lasco Shower. I expect Ken Neyer Plumbing to replace my shower with
a New '1603BFSC Lasco Bathware Shower', (same as mine), at Ken Neyer's Plumbing Inc. expense.
Owner says he would be discussing it with the local sanitation dept to determine course of future work. (another drain was intersecting the drain line near the sewage drain--not sure what it would go to)
Employee Will Beckemeyer was courteous, on time, explained what he was doing and how long it would take.
Careful to wear covers for his shoes when entering the house. Cleaned up after job completed.
While I was not home while most of the work was done, my next door neighbor, a retired engineer, was there to watch the entire project. He was very impressed by the professionalism of the crew performing the work and the process used to replace the sewer line. I did meet the crew (including Chris, the foreman) on the last day of the job and found them all to be extremely conscientious and courteous. They cleaned the basement area where they had to tie in the line and did everything possible to minimize any mess in our home.
I would highly recommend both Ken Neyer Plumbing and the pipe-bursting process to anyone needing a sewer line replacement.
