Julius was under contract to perform culvert replacement and asphalt repair on our private lane in 2024. This work could have had potentially had future work in years to come. Month after month, the work was never performed, even though our community was very flexible and undemanding. At no time did Julius have the common courtesy of simply telling us that he would never do the contracted work. We lost the entirety of 2024 waiting. Very unprofessional and highly unreliable - I would recommend you pass on Julius Howe.

We received a quote from Julius Howe For a 3" thick asphalt driveway to be installed with them also adding a compacted gravel base. After the paving was completed, there were a few areas where the asphalt appeared to be quite thin. Julius assured me it was fine and would not be an issue. This was paved in the beginning of Fall 2021 and by early to mid Summer 2022 (well within 1 year warranty period) the driveway began developing substantial cracks throughout the entire driveway. When I attempted to reach out to them for warranty repair work, never answered. Finally got an email back from Julius stating he would come take a look at things. Two days later I received an email saying the damage was not under warranty because it does not cover EXTREME weather conditions because the drought we had 2022. WE DiD NOT HAVE ANYTHING NEAR A DROUGHT. Also included was a nearly $4,000.00 estimate to repair the cracks and seal the driveway. We have already paid over $22,000 for the initial job.

They came out and dug up the driveway and laid the gravel and told us that in a week they would come back and finish the job. A few days after, it rained and the gravel ran down the driveway leaving a groove and a trail of rocks down the whole driveway . I called them about it and the response was " that happens and when they come to finish they will fix that" Three weeks went by and finally it was finished. I had called and my husband had called. They said they would get back to us and they never called back until the third week. Once they came, they did a good job.

The Howe Company laid 2+ inches of new asphalt over a badly worn existing asphalt driveway. The work was all done on the same day. It looks great. Drainage is good. Everyone was very professional. I'll have the company reseal next year.

I had several areas on my asphalt driveway that needed repaired/patching after work was completed on two retaining walls. Steve and Julius were very pleasant and professional. I asked numerous questions and they were gracious and answered all of them. The work looks great. Everyone was pleasant. I have given ther name to a few friends looking to have work done next year.

"I disagree with this customer, Customer had gravel for years and lives on big hill where the drive drains towards the house. We rebuilt 1 drain and installed 2 additional drains. The customer has a carport that the support end is sinking causing the clearance at one end to be lower than normal. This has nothing to do with paving the drive. It was more noticeable after we paved. The water flows fine to the drains. I agreed to knock $1300 off the bid when he signed the contract and even took an additional $1000 at the time of completion. This customer had my guys hauling additional debri away and setting up rocks for a small wall that was not in the contract. We also had to leave the job for a week or so due to permit issues and problems with a neighbor concerned with all the water drainage. This was an A-1 job especally with what we had to work with."

"The township has put to many layers of asphalt on the street over the years and has really caused problems for drainage to the neighbors on this street including this gentlemen. The drive is only 40' long and was already about 4" above the garage floor. After we paved it trying to get water to flow away from the garage it increased the height in front of the garage which causing him to scape the car getting in and out of the garage. There is no way to install a drain due to the existing grades. I have no idea why this customer thought we were not professional. We treat all jobs like they were are own."

My driveway was in pretty bad shape- way beyond resealing.  There were many cracks and some spots where the asphalt was worn down to the gravel underneath it.  I have a long driveway and the estimate I received from Julius C. Howe was considerably lower than the other estimates I received.  A large crew arrived at the time I was told and worked very efficiently, finishing the work in less than 3 hours.  The foreman gave me a pamphlet and explained what to do to make sure the driveway wasn't damaged before it has time to cure.  The driveway looks great and I will be using them next spring when it's time to apply sealcoating.

Howe fixed a leak we had in our basement wall.  They estimated one day of work and that's exactly what it took.  They arrived on time, they worked through the day and completed the project on time at the estimated cost.  We are quite happy with the results.

Julius came out personally to do the estimate. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and made recommendations and answered every question to my complete satisfaction. The job was not scheduled immediately because he had other jobs ahead of mine and blacktopping is extremely weather dependant.  He finally called and told me he had me scheduled for Friday Nov. 29th. I was on vacation and was due to come home on the 28th. He called me on the 27th. and asked if he could do the job on the 28th. because it was supposed to rain  on the next day, and I told him to go ahead. When I got home that afternoon the job had  been completed. It was done to my complete satisfaction. I would hire him again in a second.

Went fine.  Once the weather window opened they showed up quickly.  Had large and good crew.  All members knew their job and worked rapidly.  They were careful with the property and neat.  No damage to other areas of property.  Good job with clean and neat edges.  Finished at the street entrance smoothly.

I called and requested an estimate to pressure wash and seal concrete drive and walks on Aug. 7th 2013. On August 9th they showed up and left me the quote. I thought wow that was fast, and price was competitive. I called and was told to sign and fax the quote to them for approval and scheduling which I did on August 10th. Several days went by so I called to make sure they received my quote, they said they did and someone would contact me with a date to perform the service. About every 2 weeks I would call back to get some kind of estimate when they may come out, I wasn't in a real big hurry, but still wanted some kind of communication to make sure they still intended on doing the job or should I get someone else. Anyway, around the first week of November they finally called and said they would stop by that day to do the pressure washing. Once there, they did a god job but was extremely frustated with the lack of communication.
