WOODLAND TREE SERVICES

Massive oak tree between houses, stump trunk was 3.5 to 4 feet in diameter. Large limbs extending over both roofs. Crew called to say they were going to be a little late due to an accident. Nice touch. 6 hours later entire tree was removed and clean up was great. Jason and his crew's performance was professional, courteous and well done. Charles came to grind the stump a few days later. Same professional service. Overall, we're very satisfied with their work. No surprises, good communication and a fair price.

Terrible customer service. Took 3 trips and the work is still not complete. Left a mess in my yard, then tried to charge me more than what was agreed upon. Mr Brown wrote up a service contract to remove 4 trees and a stump for a price that we agreed upon. When they did the work they only removed 3 trees and left the stump. They used my ladder without permission. Then they left without checking to see if I was satisfied with the work. I spoke with Mark who gave me the run around, said my neighbor gave them other instructions and that I should have tagged the trees. The trees were clearly marked and the work to be done was clearly spelled out on the service contract. It took 2 more trips to get them to remove the last tree and grind the stump. They left the yard a mess and debris every where. No one followed up to see if the work was done correctly. Then this Mark texts my wife, not me, and tells her to pay more that what we had agreed upon. I called him out on his shenanigans and he called me names, like a child, and hung up the phone. What a joke. This guy Mark is a Class-A scum bag and shouldn't be trusted. See photos for proof.

From the start, Mark was prompt to come out and give me an estimate and explained what the job would entail. I needed "cherry picker" equipment due to height of one tree. They came very prepared with very professional equipment and trucks to handle all the cuttings. The whole process was completely professional in every step and left the area very clean. My father had started using this company nearly 20 years ago and now I have become a faithful customer as well. I would definitely use them again.

The process went extremely well....very skilled tree surgeons and efficient. Great guys.

I had initially hired him after seeing the work they did for a neighbor and they did a great job. This was a difficult extraction where the tree had grown into a chain-link fence. He explained both options of either cutting the tree off from above the fence or either down to the stump. When they had come out and saw that I had already cut back the fence, they were willing to take out the entire tree for no extra costs. They did exactly what they said and even a little bit more. They took the extra steps in making sure that they kept all of their equipment on my property and didn't damage my neighbor's property. They were pleasant and nice to work with. They were quick with the work and arrived when they said they would. I was even able to use a coupon for their services. I have recommended them to neighbors and I would call them for work again.

They did a good job. It was very efficient. They had a large vehicle come in and lift the tree's up and bring them out. They cleaned up everything real well. They were very respectful because they asked my husband if the truck would do damage to our asphalt driveway before bringing it in.

Woodlawn contracted through Dave's Tree Service when my removal job required larger equipment. They called once to schedule, did the work while I was away. When I got home, aside from the missing tree, I couldn't even tell anyone had been there. I was very impressed with how careful they were to clean up the site. Highly recommend this company!

The service went well. Prior to showing up I received a call, the crew arrived........did the work with no problem and left. It was seamless, overall a great experience.

Work was done well and quick. One tree was tangled in the power lines and there was no issue.

He came out to the home immediately upon me calling. However it took him 2 months before he came out to work on my lawn after many telephone calls. He finally completed the lawn but the results were not great and the lawn did not come in well. He came back out to my house to look at the problem and he never came back to fix it. I am very satisfied with the drive way work.

I approached the company owner while he was on a job on my block. I asked for an estimate and advice. He gave me an estimate which I felt was quite reasonable, along with options about stump grinding. He gave me an approximate work date. He had his salesman send out a formal quote. I signed and returned the contract. The salesman called me a few days later to schedule the job. Due to the nature of the work, the time of day was approximate, and the date was dependent on weather.
The crew arrived on the date scheduled, well within the time window scheduled. The owner estimated the job would take an hour--he was right on the money!
The four man crew was totally professional, pleasant to deal with, and efficient. The equipment was in good shape, and used in such a way as to minimize the chance of accident or property damage. I am 100% satisfied with the job, and I am not an easy person to please.

The crew arrived on time and did a good job. Communicated with us on what they were doing. Cleaned up (for the most part) the mess that was made. On the same day, someone came out and ground the stump. Service was friendly, efficient, and just what we wanted. The only negative would be that they changed the date on us by moving it up a week up, but we were told beforehand. We will use them again for tree service.

They were friendly, very helpful, and knew which trees needed to be removed. The site was clean once they completed the work and they a good job.

They are very prompt. As soon as there is 2 inches or so, they come out immediately to take care of it.

They brought in a crane and a bucket and it took them almost 6 hours, including a VERY thorough cleanup. Amazing job, would definitely hire again!

Contracted for tree removal and trimming..... never finished job...owner and office person has been putting us off for two months...saying they are too busy...even though we have already paid in full..... attitude today was "well we had the lowest quote so you should be happy with what you got"...WOW!!!!! called us "petty" for wanting the job finished... obviously absolutely no people skills at all. actually hung up on us twice today...

Jason and the other men did a fine job on my yard. I was slightly disappointed that they destroyed a semi-planted bed by the driveway and knocked the bricks down around some plantings in the back. However, there were a lot of large trees and equipment that they needed to maneuver. I had to leave before job was completed (they were here from 8:30am-after 6pm) and did not get a final look at the yard. I needed to have them come back to trim a tree that they had partially trimmed for access since there were dead branches left on it. Called twice to remind them. Joanne at the office was very nice. Best of 4 estimates.

In the wind storm in mid-September, a large oak tree in our inaccessible backyard split (without detaching) and one half fell on our roof. We initially had another tree service (Dave's Tree Service) come out-great guys (see our review of them in this crazy story), but soon realized that after they had removed a good chunk of the tree, it could not be removed without much larger equipment. Due to the inaccessibility of the backyard, a large crane was needed, and needed to come in from a neighbor's yard. Dave asked Jason from Woodland Tree Services to come and assess the situation and turned the job over to him. In order to get to the tree that had fallen, two other large trees needed to be removed, one of which was a Dutch Elm that was diseased, unbeknownst to us. We then asked him to remove another large tree in the front of the house. What a great team of guys. They followed up with us, came out promptly and did the work. The tree was removed without any further damage to the roof. They ground down all the trunks and offered to come back out if they missed anything. We were quite pleased with the mulch left from the grinding. It's now spread throughout the beds for the winter. Seeing these two businesses run by two young guys (Dave's Tree Service and Woodland Tree Services) work together to solve a problem without gouging the customer was such a positive experience for us. Thank you.

They were very open to explaining the process before they began and as they went along. Clean-up was perfect: nothing was left to indicate they had even been there but a pile of mulch where the tree stump had been. I asked them to save 4 young maple trees around the ash tree if they could; now, a month later, there is no apparent damage to the 4 trees. I will definitely use Woodland Tree Service again!
