"Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are so pleased that you are happy with our work, and hope to serve your exterior home improvement needs again sometime."
I signed a contract on June 18th to have 23 windows replaced and paid half of the cost of the windows (Brandon was my sales rep). Within a few days I was contacted by an installer to measure the windows had all the windows measured.
Around the beginning of July I had not heard anything and so tried contacting my sales rep; to no avail. I started contacting the corporate office in Youngstown. I could not get direct numbers and got routed around every call. I called every other day for about a month with no results. At the end of July I was able to reach someone who said that they did not have the proper permits. After calling my councilman I learned that Window World never applied for the permits. I spent from mid August to mid September applying for the proper permits because Window World would not do it. The process included countless meetings with city and neighborhood organizations, countless phone calls and time off from work. I was only able to get approval for 17 windows since I live in an historic district. The office manager (Marty) said Window World would only charge me for what they installed. He also said he would give me a customer satisfaction credit of $100.00, for securing the permits.
I received approval for permits in mid September. I spent from mid-September to mid-October trying to contact Window World to arrange installation of my windows. Window World, again, would not return phone calls. Finally, I was able to contact the owner (I do not recall if it was Fred or Pat Moran) who agreed to have the windows installed.
The installation went well.
I was charged for more windows than were installed and spent from mid October to mid December trying to get a refund of my money. After countless phone calls, including calls to the manager (new manager) and to the owner (Fred Moran), on December 23, I was issued a credit for the window I did not receive. I never received a customer satisfaction credit. Both the new manager and Fred were extremely demeaning, intentionally obstinate and difficult to deal with. I did not feel that anyone at Window World had an interest in actually installing the windows or charging me correctly once I paid my deposit.
The entire organization was extremely difficult to deal with and unprofessional. I cannot speak to the quality of the windows, having had them only for two months. I would not do business with them again. Trying to work with Window World was extremely time consuming. Both Fred and the manager were passive aggressive, rude and unwilling to do the work for which I paid.
