He was unbelievable. He answered his phone when I called and came right out. He is a very nice guy and I would recommend him to anyone because his price was very reasonable.

I am a landlady and I found Scott on craigslist when I was in a bind and my usual appliance guy had blown me off - again. I needed help quickly. I called Scott and left a message Thursday evening, and he returned my call Friday morning and apologized for it taking so long to get back to me (?!) This surprised me as I usually had to wait a couple of days to get service from my other guy.
Scott met me at the tenant's house and promptly went to work. I own several rental properties and I provide all of the appliances, most of which are old and need routine care. The stove I had called him about was older and had a gas leak in a place I'd never seen one before, but Scott was not intimidated. He very carefully took the components apart, repaired the broken area and then put the whole thing back together. I did not think he was going to be able to save the stove but Scott did, and only because he was careful with the old thing and treated it gently.
I left at that time thinking all was well, and Scott was going to finish up. About a half hour later he called me and told me that he had located a gas leak in the line behind the shutoff valve and it was going to be enough to be a problem, so I called National Fuel and filed an emergency gas shutoff order. I could not get back to the house so Scott waited there himself for the NFG guy and between the two of them they got the leak fixed, the lines checked and the gas turned back on. The stove also cranked up and worked nicely.
I am impressed with Scott's promptness, knowledge of these older appliances (and the ability to save them), and his willingness to stay until the job was done. He was also extremely careful of the new floor I had just installed in the kitchen of this rental unit when he moved the stove around.
For going above and beyond the call of duty, Scott's price was incredibly good! AND he did not raise his price when he found another problem. I have lots of used appliances in my rentals and I will continue to use him in the future. My old unreliable appliance guy just got replaced!
