Furniture - Sales, Delivery Service
I bought the furniture on 9/8/20 and I still haven’t received my furniture yet. They keep postponing delivery date 4 times so far and today 2/20/21 they were supposed to deliver but the delivery guy left without saying anything when I told him to come to the side door so I called Value City Furniture to make a complaint then the manager Jamie said that “they knocked on the door u wasn’t at home,” so I told her that the guy left then she started saying that “cuz u didn’t shovel the snow that’s why! If they carry heavy stuffs and if it slips then it’s on you, it’s gonna be your fault!” and hang up on me. I was also never informed about shoveling snow but I shoveled in my driveway anyway for my car which would be the clear pathway to carry the furniture. What an awful and unprofessional customer and delivery service! On top of that, they said they wouldn’t set up another delivery date if I don’t pay additional $99 for rescheduling fee. I so regretted buying furniture at this store, I could go to another furniture store. I’ll call Ohio Attorney General consumer service on Monday to resolve this problem.

I am appalled at the horrible customer service I got today at 10:45 a.m. over the phone from Mervin Silas, store manager at the Warrensville Heights store in Ohio. My floor was scratched up by VCF drivers last Friday during a delivery, and I emailed pictures of the damage to the store to have it fixed.
I was told on Monday by employee Jenn Calo that a claim will be submitted to an insurance company, I called back today (Thursday, four days later) and got exactly the same response - not a good sign at all!
I asked to speak to the manager, who of course was unavailable at the time. When they did call back, from the outset, Mervin Silas had a negative, aggressive attitude, and was condascending in his manner of talking to me about how insurance claims don't happen in a day and so on.
When I asked him why I was getting the same answer (that an insurance claim would have to be filed) four days after I got that same response from Jenn, he started to "educate me" about how an insurance claim has to be filed, how he needed to get statements from the drivers, etc.
When I asked him to email me a written confirmation of the things he told me over the phone, he flat out refused, saying he could do that, but would NOT do that. So of course, I have no documentation of thew conversation I had with him. This is unacceptable, horrible customer service. That employee needs some serious training on how to deal with customers. Not sure how he's a manager in the first place.
AVOID this store by all means, unless you enjoy being treated rudely and without respect.

They were not very professional. We had a sofa picked up because it was the wrong one. They were very late in getting it from us. The sales person misled us. When we bought the chair we though was supposed to have made into a twin bed. It did not make into a bed.

At the beginning at the sale, there was one salesman that did not call me back in a timely manner so I called and spoke to Kim. She was very helpful and returned my calls promptly. One bed set came in perfect condition but the other did not. When I spoke to them regarding the matter, their customer service was excellent and they did whatever it took to rectify the situation. They asked when they could come out to take care of it and made sure I was satisfied.
