$54
It is affordable. It has good equipment. The people are nice. I have never taken any classes there or anything, I just use the facility. It is $54 a month, for me plus 2 family members. They don't offer things like free towels or late night services but I don't need those. Every once in a while there is something the matter with some of the equipment.

I have been a member of this gym on and off for 7 years. It is now called LA Fitness, not Urban active
There is a variety of equipment, weights, no foam rollers or other nice things. It is OK as a gym.
The reason that I use the facility is that it is near my home. I joined 7 years ago and found that the facilty was not kept up well, the equipment would break down and it would be weeks before they would fix it. So I quit.
LA Fitness took it over, and I decided to go back about a year ago. The price is reasonable about $35 a month. The eqipment is kept up better, but not great. My biggest complaint is that on weekend the gym does open until 8 AM. (weekdays is 5 am) I like to work out early, because I work on weekends, I can't use the gym.
They do not have a towel service and the the locker room is not as clean as I would like. To wipe the equipment, they have a soap dispenser on the wall and paper towels. I think it confuses people, so patrons don't clean the equipment.
I like to go to spin classes. If the instructor is on vacation, no one knows if there will be a substitute or not, and it is not uncommon to find no one teaching the class.

This place has gone down hill since L.A. Fitness took over. They weren't the best place to start but it definitely got worse. The HVAC vents in the pool from the ceiling so they closed the pool for two weeks. Then when it reopened, they didn't fix the vents but just cut down the parts that fell. On the upstair row of ellipticals, the TV cable was disconnected and it remained that way for a over a month.

Have tried other facilities and this one overall is as good as they get. The equipment is always in top shape (even if my body isn't). The facility itself is very well maintained. Only downside is the men's lockers are the short Formica ones rather than full-length metal.

They have a lot of machines, a track, swimming pools and personal trainers. The facility is huge and there is a large variety of options for exercising. The personal trainers are very skilled, friendly and accommodating; they try to help you. It is pretty costly but I think they all are. The facility is nice and I will use them again in the future.

I have not had a problem with them, but I know that others have. The prices are reasonable for the services. Nothing costs extra except the trainer. Sometimes it is frustrating when equipment isn't fixed right away. Sometimes it's not as clean as I would like it to be. Their hours are good. I have had to put my membership on hold twice now because of surgeries and I have not had a problem doing that.

I visited them when it was Gold's Gym and changed to Urban Active. They have all the weights, exercise program, and swimming pool. It is difficult getting out of their contract. They try to pull in. They even charge fee to get out of the service in spite of the contract being expired.
