Avoid at all cost. Dan is very nice, insulation guys were great, unfortunately the siding timeline and craftsmanship are garbage. 6 months into a job that should have taken a few weeks, and the end is still nowhere in sight. Poor workmanship is promised to be fixed, but not communicated to the worker. The worker sees no issue with his poor quality job, and tries to make you feel bad about not being satisfied with bad quality, expensive, work. We've requested a different crew for months, and it's just being ignored at the end of the day. Lots of hollow promises with little to no follow through. We wish we had contracted with a different company, even if it meant paying more!

I called his manager Raymond to fix a single at my mom's house, a roof they have installed. This issue of the single getting loose keeps coming back almost every year. They don't fix it right the first time. Raymond said he would come out to check it out in a week. Weeks passed by and I called many times and no answer, just voicemail. I left messages and no return calls. The roof also had issues with the flashing and ridge vent when the roof was installed. I got tired of dealing with this company that I just hired somebody else to fix what they installed incorrectly. Save yourself some headaches and hire someone else.

Crew was OK. Dan offered to insulate our steps going up to the attic but they ended up cracking our drywall underneath by accident, about 2 feet long with slight inflection from pressure in the cavity. They gave us a small discount and had their handyman come back to fix. He just put spackle on the crack -- come on man. Drywall is still slightly bowed and doesn't look finished at all. We will have our regular contractor really fix it and consider it a donation to charity -- you guys.

We contracted to have our attic insulated by The Siding and
Insulation Company because Dan (salesman/contractor) noticed and explained
issues that we had that no one else mentioned.
Dan, Ramon, Frank, Chris and Todd were always professional and courteous
while they were here working on the project or on the phone.  The work was done as stated in the contract
and may exceed our expectations because the nuances  which  were prohibiting air flow in out attic, have
been recognized, located and corrected.
Everyone kept us informed as to what they were going to do and when they
were going to do their work.
Professional, punctual, courteous and doing the job as
stated, describe in a nutshell the product we received for The Siding and Insulation
Company.

I discovered in the winter of 2013-14, water condensation coming down our rear, downstairs wall.  I thought our new roof was the problem and called the roofer.  The roofer discovered that it was the rear wall that was not insulated at all and as the warmth of the room rose to meet the extreme cold (snow & wind blowing into the cracks of the rear porch and rear wall) on the rear wall, condensation built up in the rear.  My father had insulation blown into his home by The Siding & Insulation Company about three years prior and recommended their owner Dan to come and give me an estimate on the work needed.
Dan and I spoke for the contract and I found him very personable and knowledgeable. Dan did not hard sell me on anything the home did not need.  Dan and his crew arrived about three weeks later for the work to begin.  They were on-time and prepared to work.  Dan kept his crew working and a good pace.  They appeared to know exactly what they were doing and prepped the house easily for the project.
The very large, whole house fan from 1944 was removed from the center of the home's upstairs ceiling very quickly.  They next installed the new bathroom ceiling fan and light that my wife and I had purchased.  They cut a hole into the roof of the bathroom and vented the fan.  They repaired the roof line and waterproofed it using our replacement shingles.
The next day, Dan did not appear with the crew of three men.  The senior man was in charge, however, all seemed a bit more relaxed without Dan around and the worked seemed to slightly slowdown.  The crew had several issues with their machine (Blower in the van) and enjoyed talking with one another and my father, on-scene.  At one point, my Dad was even helping them with their work.  Disclaimer: My Dad is a retired workaholic and just wanted to be of service doing something, however, I still don't think they should have allowed him to labor their job site.
On the third day, the crew arrived on-time for work, again without Dan.  They were a nice group of guys, but liked to talk.  They finished up the insulation into the walls from yesterday and put tape and putty drywall repair over all of the holes in the walls made while insulating (one hole for every 16" inches), however they did not sand them down.  The sanding down was not an issue at the time because I thought that my wife and I had to do that.  However, upon looking at my contract later, I noticed that The Siding & Insulation Company was supposed to do the sanding "Mud, tape, sand ready to be painted."
They guys, overall did a great job.  They lead guy (wish I could remember his name) was good.  He was always putting out side jobs that he could do for us, off the job.  They did cut out a very nice wood frame push-up door to the attic at no charge, but forgot the frame around the bathroom exhaust fan.  Dan returned in the middle of this day and things ran a bit more smoothly while he was on-site.  He did leave again for business, but by that time, most of the hard work had been done.  This winter has been as bad as last winter and the house is slightly warmer and we do not have condensation coming down our rear room walls nearest the back porch.  We still have cold air in patches of the house, but my wife and I believe it has more to do with our windows this time and not the walls.  All in all, for price and work done, The Siding & Insulation Company did a good job and I would recommend them again to anyone.

Arrived after 9am, and went right to work. Stayed on job till completion, cleaning up as they went, and rechecking work when done. I was very satisfied.

Dan seems very knowledgeable about the services and did not try to oversell as many other companies did.  Dan even took the time to compare why his offering was appropriate to my job compared to the other estimates which involved a different approach.
His crews arrived when they were suppose to and worked very hard.
The only complaint is that I was not happy with his vehicle leaking oil (even they tried to minimize the stains with cardboard) on my driveway and the insulation left around my house.

Dan Hoag, the owner, came out multiple times at my request to give estimates and go over different options. The work started a week late due to weather delays. The project was only supposed to take 3 days, but due to poor timing, and missing materials, the project spanned over 2-3 weeks for completion. Dan was very responsive in answering why things were taking so long, and always had a good answer, but it was still frustrating that it took so long, which delayed the house being re-painted. I also had an issue with them not being able to install some trim work, and i would get opposite answers from different people as to why. Overall though, the work turned out nice and neat, and they always cleaned up after themselves very well.

It went well. The job was completed. They did not come on the day expected. They said they were called to another job, and they didn't call to notify us. We called them and they came over later the same day they were due. It was a multiple day job, which they completed over the next day or two. They played loud music and I believe they knew that this disturbed the neighbor, but they didn't stop playing it, they just turned it down a bit. There was a misunderstanding on the contract, so approximately 12% of the job was not done that was expected to be completed. They were very nice and professional, but there were some areas that were lacking.

His crew arrived right on time and one member introduced himself as he explained how the job would start and proceed. Although I did have to ask them to curb their language, they were very polite to me and considerate of a curious dog. The noise of siding being removed, and access holes being drilled, was more than I expected, but they worked non-stop and I got used to the sounds. They cleaned up each side of the house before moving to the next, even raking up snow to get all the wood chips. My siding and shutters were replaced so well that it's hard to tell where they were working. Because of my odd schedule, they had to end earlier than normal and return a second day. It was chillier and windier, but they worked just as efficiently. One worker made a point of calling me outside to show that he'd inadvertently dented and scraped paint from a small piece of siding. He was almost mortified and his honesty was startling. (A touch of paint will hide the damage.)

The salesman was nice and seemed professional, but when the guys came to do the work, they were doing something different than we were originally told. They were putting Styrofoam plug in the holes they drilled instead of the wood ones we were told about. The salesman also never told us they wouldn't finish the job the same day, and that they would have to come at some unspecified date months later to finish the job. After calling the owner to complain, they did fix the problem and do what the salesman originally said. And they came back and finished the job in a few days.

The job was done in 2 phases, inside in attic and ceiling. They asked for half of payment when inside was completed. The contract stated payment in full on completion of job,so I was leary of when they would return after half payment was made. However they did in a timely manner. They finished and did a great job, workers were friendly and explained what they were doing. Everything was cleaned up afterwards completely.

THEY USED ROCKWELL ONLY. THE WORKERS WERE HEAVY SMOKERS AND ONLY SMOKED OUTSIDE, BUT I USUALLY TELL PEOPLE THAT THEY CAN'T SMOKE ON OUR PROPERTY, AND I DIDN'T LIKE THAT, SO I LEFT FOR THE DAY. THEY DID A VERY GOOD CLEAN UP.
