On July 5, 2019, my air conditioner was not working. There was water under my furnace. I called Service Experts because they put in my furnace/AC in 2007, and I have used them over the years for my tune-ups. The representative I talked with on that Friday, told me no appts. were available on Saturday, but Sunday, July 7th, I could have one, and I chose 8-10 am. I even received an email confirmation of my appt. from Service Experts. No one showed up or called, so I called at 9:55 am, and the rep put me on hold, and then told me the tech was running late, but would call 30 minutes before arriving. It was now 2:25 pm, and heard from no one. I called again, and this time spoke with Natalie. I was put on hold for awhile, and she came back, telling me I never had an appt. and they do not make appts. on the weekends. So, the two previous repres. lied to me. Natalie said she talked with a technician and said i would be the next customer.How do I know this for sure, when this company has already lied to me twice? In previous appts. with this company, I have had them be late, and they even called me the day of my appt last year, to say they had an emergency and if I would change my appt. to Friday or Saturday!! This company also tries to sell you things like tankless water heaters, even though my 2 water heaters are fine! Needless to say, I will not deal with this company again, because of poor customer service and lying. In their recording, as you are put on hold, waiting to talk with a representative, they say, "We are the best in the business." In honesty, you are not. Call another heating and cooling company!

They have recently added plumbing. It was just one man. We liked him and would call him again. When he came out, his work is kinda intermittent because it is just him in that department. He was real friendly and explained everything to us. It was fine. We had a gas stove installed and he had to do the connection. We were making dinner for family and did not have a stove so that was tricky. He came out a couple of times. He came out to survey the situation and realized that he had to come back for the connection. He was very friendly. I asked a lot of questions. He answered them patiently. He could not get it at first. He did not just leave. He went out and got another pipe or something. He knew that it was not right and did not just leave it like some other people would have done.

I like them very much. They usually come when they say they will. The people who come are knowledgeable. We have had occasional issues. The people they send out are very patient in answering my questions. We have had some young guys. We have had some older guys. they all were calm and did not seem flustered when I asked a lot of questions. I rung them through the ringer. They also send me reminders which I appreciate. We have not checked around that much because we are happy with them. One of my friends will say we got this for this price which is lower but we stick with them because we know they know they are doing. We have called them in emergencies and we have the A+ coverage and this is extra coverage. We get a discount when they come. It is some kind of protective program. I really like the fellows who come out occasionally it is a woman but usually a man. They have been there a while and I am surprised that they are open to my questions. I know a lot of people get annoyed by that. That is what I really appreciate. If I ask them a question because I did not understand. They go over it with me. I really appreciate it. Occasionally they would be late. One or two times, they were be late or early and did not call and that kind of put me off. I would use them again in a minute. I like the way they work with me.

It is twice a year. There may be something that we need and we don't know it. They will say, Oh, I think you need some new filters. We are really glad when they say that because we do not know about that. They are so patient with me and my husband, every time they come I go downstairs and I ask questions and my husband says I am trying to be an assistant. I said I am just trying to understand. He is happy and will stay upstairs and eat his lunch. I say, I have to go downstairs and see the providers. I just like to watch and see what they do. We found them and have not tried many others. We are satisfied with them. We will stick with them. I like the way they treat us. They treat us with respect. I remember this young fellow that came not too long ago. We use just saying this information just as fast as you would say your name, your address, your home phone number, all the things like that. I said could you say that again and he just said sure. The main thing is the way they deal with their customers.

He checked out gas connection, then we bought a new stove and he came back. He was very pleasant so we liked him and would use them again. I don't know about the price because we have not any comparisons but we felt that it was fair. The quality was excellent and we would use him again. He did not come the first time and someone was supposed to call but they did not call.

I think they are a good company. I haven't had a problem with them and like I said they did put in a new furnace and thing in 2012 and I haven't had any problem I've only called them for check not anything beyond that.

I've been happy with them.

I have used this provider since they were Cool Breeze, later DeMarco Mechanical, all under the "Service Expert" brand. I have continued to use them as they originally installed my HVAC unit in 2001, and wanted to keep continuity. Over the past 5  years, their service technicians have been more "sales" technicians because all they have tried to do is sell me a new unit. This to replace one that is only 14 years old. There always seems to be some issue that requires that I spend $5000+ rather than fix a problem. I'm really tired of this same old scenario.


Today, 5/11/2015, I called to schedule a "tune up" appointment. They couldn't get me scheduled until early June, which is not very accommodating to someone who has done business with this company for 14 years. Further, either the thermostat has a dead battery, or the AC is down, as we have no service. The scheduler would not apply the balance of my "tune up" contract against the service call, as this is now a "failure" call versus a tune up call. I told her not to bother, that I would find someone who could make the call.

I am through with Service Experts, and understand why they have a "B" rating on the List.

Scheduled an appointment first thing this morning and they gave me a time slot of between 10 - 12.  I took the day off from work to be home and they never showed up.  Slightly after 12 I called to inquire when they would be here.  I was informed that the call center booked the appointment and they shouldn't have because they did not have any available technicians today.  They asked if I wanted to reschedule for another day, which I promptly refused.  Why take off another day from work, when they didn't show up or call this time?
I also asked why they didn't contact me earlier to let me know what was going on.  The response I received totally blew my mind.  The woman I was talking to told me that she was too busy to call and let me know.  I asked to talked to a supervisor, and after several attempts to avoid the request, I was finally transferred to a voice mail.  Ironically, that person is apparently too busy to call me back.  I sat home for hours waiting for them, took a day off from work, and they thought it was too much effort to call me to let me know they were not able to come.  Incredible customer service.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.  If they cannot actually show up on the day that THEY SCHEDULED, I can't imagine what the quality of their work would be.

As far as I could tell this company did the job.  They used to be known as DeMarco Mechanical & I had used them for many years including the purchase of a new furnace & A/C.  However, the last few times they came as Service Experts (under a service contract) they gave me a hard sell on addtional services & equipment which I felt were unnecessary.  Given that the furnace & A/C were relatively new, it was very annoying to endure this strong sales pitch.  I did have the ducts cleaned, but I later found that that service was overpriced.  I felt that they were trying to make money any way possible, whether needed by the customer or not.  I will be looking for a new HVAC service company.

Apart from a scheduling snafu (I was expecting them on Thursday, they had me scheduled for Friday, I still maintain they originally told me Thursday when they called to schedule me.  The serviceman was very knowledgable and friendly, no pressure to buy anything, even duct cleaning, which he had mentioned on an earlier visit.

They have always serviced my furnace, but on the last time the found cracks in part of it and it was decided that it couldn't be repaired.  The salesman, Jeff, came out and gave me a price.  He was extrememly good.  He has come out three or four times to help and explain things to me.  I decided to do the air conditioner at the same time to save money.  He made sure to get me scheduled right away.  Dave, Tim, and Kenny came out and did a great job.  They cleaned up after themselves.  It was so great to have heat again as the weather was turning cold.  Jeff was great at making sure I got everything I needed to submit to my home warranty company to get reimbursed by them.
