Do not hire Sears Home Improvements. Do not let them anywhere near your house. Check out all the 1-star reviews everywhere before you hire them. You could be one of the rare, lucky, satisfied customers but the odds are against it. Clueless project "coordinator". Horrible customer service. 2+ months and still no repair and no refund. And now they're saying they don't do structural repairs when my contract change clearly calls for a repair. I never should have hired them. I wanted the floor repaired and replaced. I also had a new sink and shower surround installed. 1. Delays and misinformation - The contractor contradicted everything the salesman said about the floors but the contractor seemed to know what he was doing so I went forward. However, the project was constantly being delayed because the project coordinator kept saying "everything" was in when it was not. When she got caught telling those tall tales, her story changed to "it will definitely be in tomorrow". If its going to be in tomorrow, it's clearly not all in today. 2. Wrong products - The sink was supposed to be white on white. It is actually some form of beige. The grout is white. I was also told by the salesman that I was paying more for a single piece shower surround. Mine is clearly 3 pieces. And no one will tell me the price of anything. Been asking to 2+ months, still can't get those prices. 3. Horrible customer service - 3 months after installation, the floor started to crack. New cracks are forming daily. The backsplash on the sink is crooked and there is a leak from the tub drain that was installed. I filed the repair request on 6/21/18. The contractor offered to come out and put caulk in everything. No one came out. Just offered to glue it back together. I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to have someone come out and actually look at it on 7/19/18. He said that it's probably just settling, that the backsplash is crooked because of the wall and that if the bathroom hadn't landed in the living room after all this time it probably wouldn't. Probably. I am convinced that the floor was not properly repaired before the new floor was installed. As of 8/27/18, nothing has been repaired. And during my 2 months of conversations, I was told on 7/27/18 that Sears does not do structural repairs. First time I'd heard that. Which leads to... 4. Misrepresentation of services - Had anyone told me that Sears does not do structural repairs, I would have hired someone else. Had any of the people that saw the word repair in the contract told me that Sears does not do structural repairs, I could have hired someone else. The contractor said that the floor was sinking but they would fix it. The guy they sent on 7/19 said the backsplash was crooked because of the wall. I also have a copy of the text that I sent on 1/21/18 asking if the subfloor would be repaired or replaced. Everything points to at least the possibiliy of structural repairs. So 4 months later, they tell me that. So now, even if they send someone out that says the bathroom is perfectly safe, can I really believe that? Sears doesn't do structural repairs so they can't fix it or honestly declare it safe. They don't do that. I don't want to just hope that the bathroom probably won't keep sinking and probably won't land in the LR. 5. Finally, what is a warranty worth if the company goes out of business? Even if by some miracle they find a way to fix it, the warranty will be worthless when Sears closes. Bottom line: I have a cracked floor in a 2nd floor bathroom that is probably sinking and may land in my living room. 2+ months and they can't actually fix it. But they don't want to refund my money either. You could be one of the rare but lucky few that actually get good service in a timely manner and get decent customer service but the odds are against it. Don't let them in your house.

Aside from a few delays due to weather, everything went absolutely great.
