They were excellent.  We have used them several times, their quality is excellent.  We won't use anybody else for concrete now.  They are very professional and the overall quality of the job when they are done, they make sure it's done right.  

He did very good work at a reasonable price.  I still get complements on my driveway.

We contacted Scott Day upon a referral, and from the onset, Scott was prompt and punctual in communication and providing estimates and feedback. This job was competed by 5 companies and we chose Scott Day Construction because of his prompt communication, expert opinion, general passion for the work, and desire to complete it correctly. Scott Day Construction was not the cheapest quote we received, but was in the ballpark as all of the quotes were within $1000 either side of $10K. With Scott, the value that he provided was more than worth the cost, which was reasonable considering the scope of the project.

Prior to the job starting, Scott responded to each call within 24 hours and stopped at our house multiple times to discuss, help design, and lend his expertise to our ideas to ensure we received what we wanted. Scott always provided an accurate and realistic timeline for his commitments and always followed through with timely communication. We were working a tight deadline towards the end of the summer as we planned to host a party in our backyard utilizing the new patio. Scott committed to a timeframe allowing several weeks to finish landscaping and worked rain and shine to complete the work on time, as promised.

I can't say enough about Scott Day's crew as they were always courteous and professional taking our requests into consideration and remaining vigilant of our and our neighbor's property. They were a hard working group and stayed late several nights to complete the work on time given our soggy summer. During the project, a portion of our new fence had to be temporarily removed and I requested that Scott wait several weeks after the completion of the job to re-install it to facilitate landscaping equipment. Scott's crew returned 2 weeks later, re-installed and reinforced the fence to a better-than-original quality. Scott, or one of his crew, would periodically stop by in the weeks after the pour to ensure proper curing. They sealed the concrete after the initial pour, then returned again in November to seal the drive before the winter. This was an additional cost in most of the other estimates that we received, but included in Scott's quote.

In conclusion, our driveway, stamped walkways, and stamped patio are beautiful and we have been asked by several couples walking by to provide them with Scott's contact info because of the work provided at our house. I would highly recommend Scott Day Construction to anyone looking to pour both regular or colored and stamped concrete. His attention to detail and realistic design ideas led to a huge difference in curb appeal and incredible outdoor space in our backyard.

They replaced an asphalt section of our driveway that runs from the house to a detached garage, about 45 ft. long, one-car width spreading to two-car width, and a two- or three-foot vertical drop along the way. They hauled away a lot of fill that was under the asphalt to flatten out the section then poured concrete that looks great. Scott was always here exactly when he said he would be and took plenty of time to discuss options and make recommendations (there was a drainage issue and we wanted to maximize basketball court space). His crew was professional and efficient--they even did an expert-like job trimming tree branches that would have been damaged by equipment. Scott was on the job himself with his crew for each step. I wish he were a general contractor--I'd use him for everything. I gave him a "B" on price only because he was the high bidder, but not out of line. I was willing to pay a little more to use him and feel that we got an excellent value.

Scott and his crew came in and busted out the foundation in a couple days (14x24 with crawl space). All of his guys where very professional. Scott's brick guy did an amazing job as well, they are laid better than the original bricks on the house. The deck went on without having to level it out or tweak it to fit correctly, everything was perfect. The only issue I have is with the sand they spread out around the foundation in the end, there is so much that I will need to shovel it out when done. Overall I am extremely happy with Scott Day and his crew and would use them again without question.

04/19/2010: The job was started on Monday and the concrete was poured on Wednesday. They cleaned up the yard daily. There was no damage to my yard or fence and the job looks great! Communication was clear. I would not hesitate to recommend them and would use them again.

06/20/2011: The concrete work still looks great.

Scott returned my initial call right away. His communication on what would be done and when was excellent through out the project. He and his workers are to be commended for the beautiful work that they have done. I had water drainage problems previously and they have been fixed with the water now draining properly. During the projects the crew kept the worksite clean and they made it easy for me to enter my yard and home. I commend their professionalism and work ethic. The concrete work that Scott and his crew did is fantastic. I can't praise him enough.

He was very professional, a good communicator, handled the project professionally and we were very pleased with the outcome. His crew was also hard working and professional.

They were wonderful and did a spectacular job. They did a special clean-up every day before they left. They were thorough, knew their business and respectful. I am very satisfied with their work and highly recommend them.

Went very well, the new driveway goes farther back than the old one and it is very attractive. As they started working they realized the grade wasn't enough and we would need a drain, and it cost slightly more but I trusted this information (I can see that the backyards surrounding ours are all on different levels). We ended up making a change and deciding to have them do the whole driveway instead of half and Scott was very nice about it even though it meant coming back. Scott and all of the workers were professional and polite. They did a nice job cleaning up.

HE CAME OUT BEFORE AND AFTER. PHYSICAL APPEARANCE OF DRIVEWAY WAS GOOD. IT ONLY TOOK TWO DAYS. HE DIDNT DEMAND A DEPOSIT. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM. HE HAD ENOUGH CREW AND EQUIPMENT TO DO JOB QUICKLY.
