Robert Hageman Plumbing

We woke up in the morning with water covering our basement floor and flowing out of the pipes on top of the water heater.  My contractor gave me Bob's name and checked to see if he would be available.   Bob called back shortly to let me know he would be available later that morning, and then called when he was on the way.  He checked the water heater and determined that it was malfunctioning.  While the tank was draining, Bob and his son purchased a new water heater for us and installed it.  I am grateful to Bob for his quick response and for his efficiency.  I will definitely call Bob again for plumbing problems.

I have called Bob Hageman 3 separate times, each one being a good experience.
1. Installed a new hot water tank in my ancient house. He uses State products, and was right in line with the price that Lowes quoted for an inferior product.
2. Fixed a small valve in my shower. He listened to exactly what I needed, and priced his service accordingly. He gave two options, replacing entire system for a certain amount, or a "quick fix" for another amount. I appreciated that, as I didn't want to spend too much on a bathroom that would eventually get gutted and redone.
3. Came home late Sunday to a burst pipe in my bathroom. Called him, and he was able to come the very next morning. Did a nice job, and threw in some extra work such as new toilet mechanics and bringing up some of my old hardware to code.
I will continue to call on Bob for as long as I own old houses on the Near West Side.
ALSO...he is not one of those suburban contractors who is afraid to come into the city and that makes negative comments about your neighborhood and your house (this happens all the time, suburban contractors can be real a-holes). He is a Near-West-Sider!

Mr. Hageman was recommended by our Handyman to replace a stack that serviced both the up and down units of a double home we recently purchased. He was prompt, did a very nice job and cleaned up after himself. He was very friendly and had no qualms about answering any questions put to him. We considered his price for doing the job reasonable and highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of a plumber.
