RIVER HARDWOOD FLOORS

We bought a house in Lorain County and because of my asthma, wanted the carpeting removed and replaced with Bruce pre-finished hardwood flooring. Jason replied within minutes to my request for an estimate. We talked through the project and he got back to me the next day with his quote. We were still living four hours away in Pennsylvania and Jason was able to organize the materials and complete everything for us. The finished flooring is beautiful, perfectly done with cost to the exact estimate. I never met Jason in person yet he was true to his word and sent me pictures every step of the way. He and his crew were the perfect professionals. I would hire him again in an instant!

Called, got an estimate, scheduled the work, work completed all within a two week period. Could not have asked for better service.

Jason and his team did an excellent job! The floors turned out great and look better than new. The color was a great match to the existing floors we have. Very easy to work with and every day the house was left very clean which was appreciated!

Working with Jason was a pleasure. He is very professional and his work is beautiful; we could tell from day one when he came out for an estimate that he takes pride in his workmanship. We knew when he told us that he was 8 weeks back-logged that he was very much in demand. The wait was well worth the final finished product.

Jason is, by far, the best contractor I've ever worked with. He's prompt, honest, conscientious and open to questions/requests. He makes the entire project as easy and painless as possible - and it's not easy to go without a floor in your kitchen for a week (especially with young kids). We used him for refinishing flooring in our former rental (which we listed for sale after some remodeling) and couldn't have been happier. We plan to use him again once we're ready to refinish more flooring and possibly to install new hardwood in our family room. His costs are also very competitive.

Overall, I guess I am happy with the floors. I don't think the topcoat is very thick to protect the floors, but Jason assured me it was fine. They did leave 2 bags of garbage in my driveway that I had to throw out. The garbage bags were full of sand paper and shavings from my floor. I would have thought they would haul away their own garbage from completed the job. I hope the floors hold up!

They did an excellent job. I've receieved numerous compliments. The owner did not consider the job complete until I was satisfied.

Jason gave us a detailed estimate of the work he would perform. He sanded our existing flooring, which had been covered with wall to wall carpeting for twenty five years, and filled in any holes or gouges. After we had narrowed down the choice of stain colors to two or three, he spot stained a small area with each color so we could see how each would actually look in our home. This made he final selection much easier. When the stain dried, he applied several finishing coats and buffed the floor. He cleaned up each day and kept the dust and mess to a minimum. Jason did very good work, on time and on budget. Our floors look fantastic.

River Hardwood Floors/Jason did a great job and I am very pleased with the results. They were priced lower/better than other companies that I received an estimate from. They were on site when they said they would be or called if something changed. The floors were sanded with little dust and they did put plastic up to reduce dust from getting into adjacent room that was not being refinished. The job took approximately 3 days to complete refinishing and part of the 4th day to replace the baseboards. The workers cleaned up their tools after each day and left things in order. Stains, mold and gauges were all removed and/or repaired. The floor looks brand new. I love it.

was recommened by a friend. had two estimates. he was given the job because my friend said he does great work and his cost was the cheaper of the two estimates. did a good job sanding the floors, but took him him weeks for the staining and finishing work.. Would always returns phone calls but seems not to beable to come out on days when he was scheduled to work. when the job was finally completed, the workmanship was average at best. Had to be called back since he missed several holes and cracks that he had to see when staining and finishing the floors. when he did finally did show up after numerous phone calls about these problems, he just filled the holes and cracks with matching wood putty that he picked up from at a hardware store on the way over to the house. we thought that he was going to resand, fill these cracks, finish the floors like it should have been done. These problem areas were brought to his attention when he first looked at the floors when he gave me the estimate. what buggs me, is how could he have finish the floors knowing these problems exsisted. one of the largest crack that he had to address was in the middle of one of these floors. He was friendly and did give me a good price, but i would not recommend or use him again.

JASON THE OWNER OF HARWOOD FLOORS MET WITH ME A MONTH BEFORE THE SERVICE WAS PERFORMED DUE TO MY NEED TO OBTAINED SEVERAL ESTIMATES. I CONTACTED RIVER HARWOOD FLOORS AND MY DATE OF SERVICE WAS SCHEDULED IN TWO WEEKS I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY OF WORK AS WELL AS THE REASONABLE PRICE THAT I RECEIVED. JASON, THE OWNER WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND INFORMED ME THAT HE WILL COME BACK TO REFINISH A FLOOR IN MY CLOSET IN THE FOYER OF MY HOME. IT WAS PART OF THE QUOTE THAT I RECEIVED AND DUE TO THE WORK THAT IS NEEDED HE SUGGESTED THAT I COMPLETE THE DRYWALL WORK BEFORE HE REFINISH THE CLOSET FLOOR. I TRULY BELIEVE THAT HE WILL COME BACK TO PERFORM SUCH A SMALL JOB DUE TO HIS EAGERNESS TO PLEASE THE CUSTOMER.

I hired this company to fix excessive debris left in the polyurethane coat by the first contractor. Jason Funk, the owner, does the work all by himself. He's detail-oriented, neat and knowledgeable. His fee is not the lowest, but is not the highest either; I thought is was just right. When he came to evaluate the work, he pointed out numerous defects in the work of the first contractor, which, he said, wouldn't have happened had he done the work the first time. He came back to fix a couple of small sections where his coat had not been uniform. I strongly recommend this company for hardwood floor work.

You would never know that there had been any damage done to the floors.
