RAINBOW SPRINKLER SYSTEM INC

The system was installed late fall 2017. Incompetent work from the start. During installation, day one, the main feed PVC water line was cracked and leaked water. They returned within the next few days to replace (see picture 1). Then at the end of the first full watering season, summer 2018, more issues arose. During the summer I tried to trouble shoot why certain parts of my beds were so saturated, while other parts were bone dry. A few plants died because of either overwatering or lack of watering. I thought the issue was gutter issues and replaced several - this did not help. At one point I discovered my well pump making a lot on noise and realized the water feed line to the system was continually running and not shutting off. The system works with a timer that controls the system zone valves. I called Rainbow and they sent a couple guys out. Turns out that a PVC pipe junction about 24" below grade which feeds water into the main system zone controll valves had not been properly assembled (picture 2). No pipe cement had been used to connect the pipes at this junction and they separated slightly which let silt into the system. This resulted in clogging the control zone valve seals from properly seating. Because they did not properly seal, it let water continually run through the watering system. Hence the reason for over-watering in certain areas and little water at the end of the run (lack of pressure). Greg the owner felt that he would give me a break! He would not charge me for his two men to come out to fix the problem! Incredible!!! He personally never apologized for any issues and never returned any of my calls. I do not recommend this company, save your money.
