Replaced belt on vacuum cleaner went well.

I went to purchase kirby vacuum bags only and noticed some hoover carpet steam cleaners on the floor. They were identical but the prices were different. ( I did want a carpet cleaner, but was not planning on buying one that day.) In conversation with the gentleman he explained the difference in price was that one was brand new, the other was classified refurbished, but it was actually never used either. He explained if a box is damaged and it has to be repacked, it cannot be sold as new, but must be sold as refurbished. It was about $20 more than I had seen elsewhere on sale, but it came assembled and with a free bottle of rug shampoo. More than worth the extra $20!!

Dropped off my vacuum for repair. Within 1 day got feedback about the condition. Because it was irrepairable I wasn't charged for his services. The owner is friendly and professional.

All went well and I am very pleased.

It's always traumatic when the vacuum cleaner goes. However, it was fixed inside of a week, and I have had no new problems.

This is an authorized Bissell Service Center, and the only one in the area. Explained the exact problem to the gentleman at the counter, who said he wasn't the person who performed the repairs. He did, however, ask for an advance authorization of up to $80 to do the repair. We Okay-ed it. I specifically requested that the brush not be replaced, just cleaned. However, when we picked up the cleaner, the brush had been replaced and it was the most expensive repair on the cleaner. When we complained to the gentleman at the counter, he said that the person who performed the repairs wasn't in and we needed to take it up with him. Since this location is not very close to my house, I didn't want to leave the cleaner and make another trip to pick it up when the "right" person was there so I paid the bill. I think that the store was just looking to make a few extra bucks and neglected my request. That aside, the repair job seems to be adequate and the cleaner is working just fine.

They replaced the belt while I waited. The charge for this labor was $5.00.

I HAD RESEARCHED THE CONSUMER RESOURCES FOR A VACUUM CLEANER AND VISITED SEARS and WALMART. I HAD USED BOTH UPRIGHTS and CANISTER VACS IN THE PAST. BOTH GENTLEMEN WHO HELPED ME AT PARMA VACUUM VERY EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE OF ALL BRANDS OF VACUUMS SINCE THEY REPAIR THEM ALL. I TRIED THE ONES THEY HAD, LISTENED TO THEIR EVALUATIONS. I RETURNED THE NEXT DAY TO BUY THE UPRIGHT RICCAR. I HAVE USED IT FOR A FEW MONTHS AND IT HAS THE BEST SUCTION OF ANY MACHINE I EVER OWNED. IT IS HEAVY DUTY - WITH MANY CONVENIENT FEATURES INCLUDING A VERY LONG CORD. I BOUGHT THE EXTENSION PIPE - THAT MAKES IT EASY TO VACUUM HIGH -SUCH AS BOOKCASES and DRAPERY. I WAS HESITANT TO BUY IT BECAUSE IT WAS SO EXPENSIVE BUT IT IS A PLEASURE TO USE AND WORTH THE BIG BUCKS!

HAPPINESS MUST BE A VACUUM CLEANER REPAIR PERSON WHO KNOWS THAT NO ONE CAN BE WITHOUT THEIR APPLIANCE. I HAVE BEEN SO GRATEFUL TO PARMA VACUUM FOR THEIR SPEEDY AND EXPERT WORK.
