NICK'S SHOE SERVICE

Terrible experience. I took 2 purses in to Nick's to have repaired. One needed new grommets on the strap and the other needed the strap to be sewn to the purse. He said no problem, he makes such repairs on purses all the time. The scheduled pick up date was to be Saturday Feb. 9. He did not have them done because he lost his heat. Okay, no problem, situations happen. Nick rescheduled them to be done the following Wed. Feb 13. They still were not done. I asked when can he fix them . He said he did not know when he can get to them because he had to set the machine up just for that job. I do not believe that there was anything wrong with my question. Nick turned very NASTY and said if I give him a hard time he will just give them back unrepaired. I said fine. I asked why he did not tell me about not being able to commit to a pick up date when I brought them in. This was the second trip all the way down to his place of business wasting both my time and gas. I requested them back and said I would take them elsewhere. He literally shoved them at me. I told him to not shove them at me and told him he was a very nasty person and left. Nick needs to put a sign on his door "ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK". He is abusive and nasty .

I have used him and he is really good. I took it in and I got it back in a day. I think there was not much sewing involved it was more of gluing and so on. There might have been some sewing involved as well. The sole of the shoe had to be repaired and he fixed it. He put it back together. I have used him twice. Nick is a character and he is a good guy. He knows what it is and his shop is really popular. His shop was voted the best in shore repair in Cleveland. He is a real good guy and he would check when you come in and he does good work. He definitely does good work and you would get it back quick. It is reasonably priced. They are so few of them and if not for him I don’t know anyone else locally.

I have used him a couple times in the past over the past several years. He knows what he is doing. He has been around and the experience shows.

I used to go to a shoe repair place in Cleveland Heights, where this repair would have cost 3 times as much. I was very happy with the work and will definitely use Nick's store again.

IT TOOK 2 MONTHS TO HAVE THE SANDALS REPAIRED. SHIPMENT OF ELASTIC TOOK A MONTH. DELIVERY WAS ONCE A WEEK, & THE FIRST WAS THE WRONG COLOR. THEN THE MACHINE BROKE, BACKLOGGING HIS WORK. I WOULD BE PROMISED A COMPLETION DATE, BUT THEY WEREN'T READY WHEN I CALLED TO CHECK OR WENT TO GET THEM. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES.

I HAVE TO HAVE SOME ORTHOPEDIC CHANGES MADE TO MY SHOES WHICH NICK IS ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF.
