Jim was prompt, professional and thorough. He answered all of my questions. As we walked through the house he pointed out and explained any found issues. I highly recommend Jim.

Jim was very professional and very detail oriented. He took his time and pointed out every little thing that could be of concern with our 90 year old home. Response time and punctuality were great. Would highly recommend.

Mr. Nemastil was in the site with his assistant bright and early. He was very professional and cordial. He did not waste any time at all. We signed some basic paper work and began the inspection almost immediately after. He took us with him throughout the inspection, explaining to us very single detail that he found needed attention. He was very knowledgeable about his trade and explained matters with us very well. Mr. Nemastil has very open to conversation and questions regarding our concerns during the entire inspection. He was very thorough, getting into the crawl spaces and the attic, noticing things that could easily be overlooked. He gave recommendations for what we can do to remedy minor concerns as well major issues discovered. Mr. Nemastil took his time during the inspection which made me and my husband very happy. We felt that he truly cared and sincerely wanted to help us. He documented his inspection with pictures and had the report for us immediately after the inspection. We could not have found a better home inspector! We highly recommend his company.

Nemastil Home Inspections are certified for radon. He is very professional, very thorough. He gives you a CD of the entire house. I would use him again in the future without question.

We were very pleased with his services. I was glad I was able to contact him quickly, and he was able to perform the inspection promptly. That was important because once we made the offer on the house we only had a few days to have an inspection done. Mr. Nemastil seemed very thorough. He spent about 2 and a half or 3 hours inspecting the whole house. I went around with him and took notes, and he also submitted a written report with pictures he had taken. The house isn't a fixer upper, but like a lot of older homes has its faults. He was thorough but not alarmist. He found things we wouldn't have found on our own. His report was long but helpful.

He did a good job and was very thorough.
He found quite a few things at the house that need repaired, and I have some questions and just want a call back from him. I have tried contacting him twice now.

Mr. Nemastil did an excellent job! The home we ended up purchasing is a true fixer upper, we thought we knew that from the getgo. But with Mr. Nemastil's inspection we identified issues that my wife and I were not aware of. His attention to detail made me understand some of the flaws in our new home purchase, and what systems need to be addressed for safety concerns. With his inspection we were able to go into our purchase informed, and in fact we had other trades provide estimates prior to closing to make sure the investment we were entering was financially feasable for my family.

He was very detailed. He lifted existing carpets to assess the status of floors and tiles. He opened temporary wall coverings to evaluate the status of insulation. He was appropriately on time. Spent about three hours in a three bedroom house. He filled out a report electronically and submitted it as a pdf via email to both me and the realtor. He took digital photos which he provided with his report. He allowed me to follow him throughout the inspection, answered questions and provided estimations of certain costs and the relevance of his findings. I found him very professional and with very good interpersonal skills. I will recommend him to anyone requiring a home inspection in the Cleveland area.

The service went well. They did a very thorough job and the gentleman who came out obviously knew what he was doing. He was able to spot things that were very subtle as well as things that were pretty obvious. The price was comparable with other companies I checked out.

Jim is very thorough and very informative when it comes to home inspections. I would highly recommend contacting him before purchasing a home. His reports are realistic and accurate. Essentially, the final inspection report is a great tool for the final negotiation.

The price was good and the company was friendly. My husband and I did not feel that he was as thorough as he could have been. My husband would find things (albeit minor things) that the inspector did not notice or did not point out to us. He was on time and he completed his work on time and gave us a copy of the report before he left (via email). We wanted him to find everything possible (as we were negotiating on the price of the house). We received the report of another home inspector, who seems to have found more than he did, but he was professional and polite and the cost was great. If you're not "nitpicky", I would recommend him.

I thought that he was a little overpriced and not as thorough as I had expected. I was willing to pay extra because I wanted a great job done. Another inspector gave a more thorough job for less money.

I hired Mr. Nemastil to inspect our foundation because our basement walls are cracking and I wanted an independent opinion from someone who would not try to sell me something. He arrived promptly and was here for about 1 hour. After inspecting the foundation, he explained several different methods of keeping basement walls from shifting and which he thought were most effective. He explained how to re-grade the soil around the house so that water would run away from the foundation. He noted that our driveway was sinking near the garage door, that this was part of the same problem of settling clay soil and suggested that it could be raised to its original level. While I thought $195 was a little steep for an hour's work, I found the advice he gave was very valuable. I knew that the work he recommended was really necessary because it was clear that he was knowledgeable and he didn't work for anyone else and had nothing to gain by suggesting it.

In general, I was very pleased with this inspection. He offered his opinion on whether or not there were problems that needed immediate attention, or things that we could live with initially. He also made several suggestions on how we could go about fixing problems, such as the foundation shifting in the basement and water damage in the garage. The one issue I had was the termite inspection. It was simply a visual inspection looking for evidence of wood boring insects. I think I could have done that myself. Also, opted out of the radon inspection because kits are available online for $20, whereas he was charging $165.

Over two hours was spent on each facility. Jim was very professional. He explained in detail yet simplicity issues that I would have never noticed. When he was finished, he did further explanation. He emailed all the information.

You can see my previous submission, Jim revealed problems in a house we had a purchase agreement on. His inspection led us to not buy the house. This time we did buy the house. We scheduled the inspection for a Friday at 4 p.m. It took about 3 hours. He is very thorough. We are pleased with the results. One humorous note: When I asked the real estate agent if she knew Jim and if she had any opinion of his work, she said, "Yes, he can be a bit of an alarmist." In my opinion, that is a good trait for home inspector to have. Jim gave us a $50 discount because we had used him the month before.

I cannot recommend Jim Nemastil highly enough. Thorough inspection done in a manner that is very understandable to the homeowner. Differentiates "you'll eventually have to fix" from "this must be fixed now" very well, and even offered advice on how it should be done. Jim a background in biology, so he'll even tell you what's in your garden, what kind of trees you have, and how long they're likely to live.

Jim arrived a few minutes late after calling and telling us he'd be delayed. We appreciated the call and had no problem with the delay. He was friendly and courteous explaining exactly what he was going to do. Since we are sellers, he pointed out things other inspectors might point out to buyers and gave us suggestions on what to do about the various items. The inspection took about three hours and gave us a great deal of insight on the condition of our home. We were very happy with the results.

Jim was going to be a little later than expected so he called to let us know. (We had only called the day before so he fit us in where he could.) He is very professional and treats us with respect.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD. JIM WAS THOROUGH AND LET US FOLLOW HIM AROUND AND ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS. HE DOES HAVE A LOT OF HIGH TECH EQUIPMENT, WHICH HE LIKES TO USE, AND WHILE HELPING TO CAPTURE DETAILS AND GET QUICK FEEDBACK, MAY DISTRACT A LITTLE. HE WAS 5-10 MIN LATE ARRIVING AND PRICE WAS A LITTLE HIGHER THAN AVERAGE, BUT WORTH IT IN MY OPINION.
