First let me say that he is a very honest businessman and will not do more work than is required on the instrument. He is very fair on his price and does great work. My only warning is that he does not seem to operate his business like a typical storefront. He has hours on the sign and on his message and online (google profile) but it seems like he never lives by them. I just tried to drop off an instrument to get repaired and the doors were closed, his phone didn't answer and the cell his posts on a sign saying to call if they are closed didn't answer as well. This happened when I tried to pick up the instruments last year as well. You really need to call and talk with him and then tie him down to a time. I think he needs to remove the hours from everywhere and say by appoint only. I will probably use him again if I can reach him in the future, but he missed my business this time. (it was a a repair that is needed this week and not chasing someone down to give him business)

Our son was outplaying his school instrument and wanted a higher quality instrument. Since we have gone to Greg many times in the past for minor repairs, we asked him about getting a new trombone. Shortly after our inquirey Greg called us and we vistied his shop. He had three different trombones in various price ranges and he sat down with our son as he tried each one. As our son played each one, Greg went over the pros and cons of each one based on the playing needs. He also had our son try different mouth pieces with each instrument to see what was a good fit. After spending a lot of time with our son, and answering all his questions, we were all able to decide on an instrument for him. Since then, he has been playing it nearly daily and is still very happy with his choice and his music director has even commented on the new sound.
