Whole the course was overall decently informative and the presenter polite, I did not appreciate him slipping occasionally his political views into the lecture. What I disliked more was one of the patrons deciding to drop a joke at the expense of non-binary people while I had my non-binary partner with me. I would have appreciated the lecturer not allowing bigoted remarks like that. Most importantly, I think, I would have appreciated even an attempt at enforcing mask-wearing. Around half the people in the room room were not wearing masks, the lecturer included. Additionally, there was not adequate room between desks, and nobody was following social distancing protocols when forming a line. If I had known my safety was going to be up in the air, I would have found a different organization. Very disappointed with the lack of adherence to COVID safety measures.

We are distressed that you had a less than stellar experience overall. We wanted to contact you directly but could not find you in our system. Did somebody else register you for class? We did not hold any VA classes on 1/7/2021 and do not hold any classes in Richmond, VA, so we need better information to research and resolve this issue for you. Legal Heat operates as an apolitical organization and does not discriminate on any basis. Our instructors are expressly told to leave all politics out of the course. From your comments, it sounds like your fellow students were responsible for the offensive remarks and social distancing issues. If you can let us know the exact words of our instructor, we will take appropriate actions. Legal Heat works very hard to ensure safe, friendly class environments. We have mandatory COVID training based on CDC directives for all our instructors. We are spending more on hotel meeting rooms, cleaning supplies, and hand sanitizers to keep classes safe. We specify in our hotel contracts a minimum of 6 feet social distance between students. We would like to hear exactly what happened so we can figure out a better resolution. As for the offensive remarks made by a student, we are sorry that happened. If we can learn the specific details of the remark and the instructor's reaction, that will help us address the situation and work with them to react better in the future. As we are certain you know, we cannot control what remarks students make in our classes, but can only react. We do expect all of our instructors to maintain open, friendly class environments. Great! Long class, but the instructor John is very interesting, and full of intelligence and wisdom. Experience. Also, we had to reschedule once due to Covid, and another time. Customer support was great about this.

I recently completed the concealed carry / firearm safety course through Legal Heat with Instructor Earl Brigham, in Tulalip, WA. This training is extremely useful and worthwhile and prepared me for permitting in the states of Utah, Arizona and Oregon. I learned a great deal and enjoyed Earl's presentation of firearm safety, pistol components and operation, as well as, real world scenarios that should be considered. I highly recommend this course!

This was a great class! For anyone thinking about getting their concealed carry license, but intimidated, I was the only attendee who did not already own a firearm. Nonetheless, I never felt uncomfortable or like I couldn't ask a question if I didn't understand (thanks to Scott). I also learned a lot as to what I’m going to be looking for in a firearm; things I may not have thought about before.

I have held a PA CCP for almost 30 years and know quite a bit, however, I still learned many new things during this class. She is a wonderful instructor and made the class fun! We just finished our ccw class with Paul McDonald. We would like you to know that he did a great job. He kept the class interesting all the way thru, lots of great info, especially on safety, gun handling and the laws we need to obey. Outstanding! Class covered the basics of terms, proper use, safety and legal aspects of concealed carry. There were no political implications. Presentation was supported by easy-to-understand slides. Instructor was well organized -clear and concise and enthusiastic. Very professional. Highly recommend this course to both men and women/anyone interested in safe and legal carry.

The class was excellent. Being retired Army, the information that the instructors put out was awesome because there are still lots of things you don't know. Laws are different when shooting at a military range versus shooting for your safety in your home. That rule shoot to kill if they come in your home isn't always a good rule, the intruder has to be trying to hurt you or your family before you can shoot them. This is good to know even though I pray that my alarm Company would stop an intruder with the way the system works. This class is definitely worth the money and then the $25 Sportsman gift card was an unexpected bonus. I'm recommending my son take this class too. Also the fact that they help with the paperwork for Utah and Arizona was great!

Great class! Very informative, knowledgeable instructor, and after all is said and done, they provide pretty much all you need to legally carry in most states. I'd recommend getting the Firearm Law Guide, too.
