All the providers I received to contact didn't seem interested in small jobs They either never called back ir called and never showed for the estimates.

We have a 75 year old home so I was looking for something to match the existing details of my home. Joe returned my call on the same day and he scheduled a time to meet. He was very professional and gave me very good advice. Over the next few weeks we had several exchanges through email. Every time I had a question he would return my email promptly. He told me about a website that carries the parts for the banister and recommended that I take digital photos which he sent to the company to insure that it was an exact match to the banister upstairs. Within two weeks all of the parts were ordered and he and his partner, John Z, came out to start the work. John spent about 3-4 full days at my house for the installation and cuttings making sure every detail was in place. I never knew how complicated placing a curved handrail could be, but I could see by all of the calculations and fittings that it is a lot harder than it looks. John pays a lot of attention to detail and both he and Joe take a lot of pride in their work (which is very difficult to find in this day and age). After John was done with the job, Joe came out again to make sure that I was completely satisfied. The workmanship was excellent and I could not be happier.

He was extremely prompt on initial callback and said he'd stop by within a week. He gave us a specific date, but he never showed up and we didn't receive the estimate.

He was busy with larger jobs and we needed ours done in a week, but he kindly recommended two other carpenters.

Excellent experience. Joe Emery is highly skilled, pleasant and his rates are reasonable. We were very pleased with the quality of his workmanship. We expect to use him for additional interior projects this winter and for additional exterior work next year.

JOE WAS PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE DID A FANTASTIC JOB AND WILL CALL HIM IN A HEARTBEAT IF I EVER NEED A CARPENTER.

JOE EVALUATED THE CORNER POST AND EXPLAINED THE OPTIONS FOR REPAIR AND RESTORATION. HE ANSWERED ANY QUESTIONS I HAD AND DID NOT RUSH THROUGH THIS INITIAL APPOINTMENT. HIS WORK IS THOROUGH, PRECISE AND NEAT. HE'S HIGHLY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND EXPERIENCED HAVING WORKED ON MANY OLDER HOMES OVER THE YEARS. CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE AND THE QUALITY OF HIS WORK.

THE STORM DOOR HAD BEEN PREVIOUSLY HUNG AND THAT WAS A BOTCHED JOB. MR. EMERY HAD TO COMPLETELY UNDO WHAT HAD BEEN DONE AND REDO IT. INVOLVED SIZING DOOR AND CREATING DOOR FRAME.

ALL THE OTHER COMPANIES I TALKED TO WANTED TO TEAR DOWN THE WHOLE PORCH AND BUILD A NEW ONE AT CONSIDERABLE COST. MR EMERY IS AN EXPERT AT PORCH REPAIR AND DID THE JOB WITHOUT ANY DAMAGE TO THE PORCH ROOF, OR GARDENS AROUND THE PORCH. HE WAS WONDERFUL TO WORK WITH. HE WAS ESPECIALLY PATIENT SINCE I HAD A LOT OF QUESTIONS ABOUT WHAT HE WAS GOING TO DO. I RECOMMEND HIM VERY HIGHLY.

HAS DONE A VARIETY OF JOBS FOR MEMBER IN THE LAST FEW YEARS, INCLUDING INSTALLING RAILINGS, RE-HANGING DOORS, REPLACING WOODEN STAIRS, CABINETRY, ETC. HAS DONE CAREFUL FINISHED CARPENTRY WORK AS WELL AS STRUCTURAL WORK FOR MEMBER. PROFESSIONAL & COURTEOUS
