"Thank you for the review. I hope that the home has worked out well and I'm sorry we never had the opportunity to meet face to face... but alas.. the digital age."
"It has been some time since you posted this review. However, having a few moments, I would like to offer a late reply. In reviewing my notes from the inspection, I see that your wife had met me at the start of the inspection, and you arrived about an hour later. Certainly you didn't think I'd repeat the portions of the inspection that you had missed. But rather, I offered a summary of what we had found thus far. Indeed, I am not like the many of inspectors out there, and I take great care to let clients know this. Despite what you may see on HGTV, the intent of the inspection is not to offer clients a crash course on residential construction. The intent is to find defects. I generally do not chit-chat while inspecting as this removes my focus from what I'm supposed to be doing, which is finding defects. All of my clients know that no questions are off-base. I would have answered any questions you had to whatever degree necessary, had you asked. Because many of my clients are green when it comes to residential construction, I include a 400 page building information book in the appendix of every report, including yours. If you have specific questions about your home, please feel free to bring them to me. I am glad that in all other respects, you seem to be happy with the inspection service and I hope that things have gone well since then. John Cundiff"
