Herb did the work himself and the price was what he had quoted in advance of the job. He arrived as promised and got the job done, cleaning up afterward.

Although Herb's plumbing installed my water filtration system several years ago, I decided to leave this review since I had not left one at the time. The service was impeccable. They were friendly, professional and highly skilled. Years later when I found myself in a new home with a plumbing question I dug up my old receipt to find their number as I recalled the quality of service they provided previously. I called them up and they answered my question free of charge. I will definitely call them again should I have any plumbing or heating needs.

They did an excellent job

First, I have been a loyal customer for 20 years. I have always liked the service I received from Herb, his kids and his employees. Also know that you will have a $69 service charge and a $ 69 minimum charge. You are out $140 before they step in the door. But that was not the problem. I called at 7:15 in the morning with an emergency, water was coming through the ceiling, my radiator was leaking bad. I didn’t receive a phone call. This despite me having an “emergency” and Angies lists them as an “emergency provider”. I called them at 9:45. I was told they had received the message and they were “going to get back to me”. I was told that the soonest they had was 2-4 the next day, their guys were all booked up. When I reminded them water was coming through the ceiling, they said this was the best they could do. I have been with Herb for 20 years. I have water coming through the ceiling. How can they say they do emergency work?? I expected this to be very expensive, I didn;t expect to be blown off and let my leak continue. Angie’s list has no integrity if they let Herb continue to advertise as “emergency” services. How do you let a 20 year customer swing in the wind like they did? They have a great staff, good service but a lousy management. $140 to show up your house and when you have an emergency, they blow you off.......

We are very happy with them. We've been using them for the past 20 years and will always call them.

Outrageous pricing. He was at my home for a total of 45 minutes, used no supplies and charged me $200. I believe his hourly rate was something like $125 and there was a $69 "call out fee". This type of price gouging is unfair to the consumer and entirely unrealistic. I can only imagine how many poor elderly folks he rips off. Unless you are made of money, go elsewhere.

Work was ok, bit not up to city code. The company corrected this, bit since has been pretty unresponsive with issues.

Excellent. I highly recommend using Herb's for any plumbing project that you need done. Very responsive and easy to work with. I've used them quite a bit on rental properties and I have always had a great experience.

I will use them again.

He did the job but was very expensive. He was also messy. For $92/hr he tracked through the house and didn't put on the slip-on covers on his shoes. My main concern was this: he said for the Cleveland Heights area, he charges $92/hr and asked if anyone told me, and I said "no". He also charged another service fee for coming. The company is in the same community. I would not recommend him due to the cost.

I called Herb on a Monday morning after my hot water tank stopped working on a Sunday afternoon.  By 10:00, I had an estimate.  By 12:30, they were at my house replacing the hot water tank.  They finished on time, cleaned up after themselves and charged me exactly what they said they would.  I couldn't have asked for more.  Will ALWAYS use them when I need heating, cooling & plumbing work.

Great.  Plus recommended, purchased, delivered and hooked up a dehumidifier for summer use.  So helpful, as I couldn't have done it on my own.

They come when they say they'll come, their pricing is reasonable and they do good work.  I can't ask more than that.
