Robert is fantastic. Prompt, reliable, and fair. He has been a god send on many occasions at a property that we own in Cleveland Heights. I would strongly recommend his services for any type of home repairs in the Heights area.

Very professional. Received a very detailed email each night outlining the progress (what they accomplished and what they did not get to yet). Mr. Pullan was an excellent communicator, on the job site every day, and his prices were very fair. No suprises regarding cost. The job came in almost exactly what he quoted. It was a pleasure to do business with them.

A specific hinge broke on the rubbish door in the kitchen. Shaker Hardware and Home Depot did not have the proper replacement. Patiently, Robert wokred at it and brought in several hinges. Finally, one fit, but it broke off again. Robert worked at it until it permanently worked.
He also tried different panels above the heater where the ceiling was cracking in the garage until he got it right.
His price for all the tedious labor was quite reasonable.

"It make to tough to complain to the teacher about your grade, but in this case I must. The work was a complicated repair to a sophisticated kitchen cabinet hinge. We were faced with failed previous attempts at repairs. This was not an ordinary hinge but an “overlay” hinge that had broken and the manufacturer of the hinge no longer exists. He was faced with either living with a gaping hole in his otherwise impeccable kitchen or spending $10,000 to replace all of the cabinets. There are no “how to” instructions for this kind of work, it simply takes advanced cabinet and furniture making experience to understand how to make this repair, make it strong enough to stand up to ordinary use and to make it align perfectly on all three axises to match the rest of the cabinet doors. The replacement hinges (we had to replace both) did not fit exactly, We had to construct custom pegs to fill the former screw holes because wood putty in the old hinge holes would not be strong enough. .I had to drive 30 miles twice to use a special tool (a drill press) to insure the pegs were glued in straight and the hinge would stay attached and aligned perfectly. The customer was concerned this repair took a few weeks to complete. But he didn't complain when he was billed for 1 ½ hours for 5 plus hours of work,it took nor that I had inadvertently overlooked billing hm for the ceiling repairs. I am at a complete loss why he felt this work and the result was merely worthy of a "B""

From the very beginning, Robert was extremely professional. He took us on as clients at a very busy time of the season but made us feel like he always had time for our projects. He was always flexible with adding "just one more thing" when we needed his help. He had great advice for us all along the way and gave us honest answers to our questions. He communicated by phone and email which was a big help because of my challenging schedule. Robert was a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone to do projects around the house.

The work took more time than planned. But that was mainly due to weather (the window couldn't be removed and brick work done in rain storms), holidays and one irresponsible sub-contractor.
Robert kept the project going throughout. He was flexible and found ways to change the sequence of work to fit available skills.
He also communicated frequently and I always knew what to expect.
I have been a professional project manager for computer systems for many years and Robert's Project Management skills are excellent.

Robert did an initial consult with us and we discussed what we were looking for. His proposal was very well thought out, and included many details that I never would have thought of. For instance, he recommended installing a water faucet on the perimeter deck to water our plants. The proposal also included strengthening the construction by adding an I-beam supported by a couple pillars. He worked with an architect to make sure this space would be capable of withstanding the weight of quite a few people; I really appreciate this kind of rigor.
He did an excellent job of listening to our needs, and then coming up with an appropriate design. The construction is first rate, and the final result is honestly far nicer than what we had planned (and our neighbors agree). He built the railing and pergola out of architectural cedar, which is really quite stunning. Highly recommended, and we will be using Robert for future projects.

Job went very well. Lead abatement preparation and removal of baseboard and wallpaper took one day; preparation of rooms for painting, and priming of same, took several days. Work in both phases was done thoroughly, meticulously, and cheerfully. The painter Robert hired was absolutely first rate, highly skilled and knowledgeable. We (homeowners) learned a good deal from explanations given and answers to questions about procedures, materials, and issues to be dealt with in both phases of this project, which will enable us to proceed better with other projects on our list. We greatly appreciate the comprehensive knowledge and experience of Heights Enterprise owner Robert Pullan, especially his expertise with houses of our vintage in Shaker Heights, as well as his knowledge and experience with Shaker Heights' approvals process. We have already discussed additional projects with him and are moving forward with them. We strongly recommend Heights Enterprises to anyone concerned to have quality work done in a timely fashion at a fair price.

I live in an older house and the upstairs toilet was having issues. He told me I would need to purchase a new toilet he recommend me a specific brand I liked it so much I had him replace others in the house. I also had a cracked wall due to foundation issues. He was very thorough and found the main source of the problem and did great work and did a great job with all the projects I have had him work on. I trust him completely. His availability is amazing and plan on using him again very soon. I would recommend him to anybody.

From start to finish, my experience was very satisying. Mr. Pullan came promptly as scheduled to determine the nature of the problem; he explained his understanding of the problem in detail, taking care to point out the possibility of a more complicated explanation once the old toilet had been removed; and he expertly removed and disposed of the old toilet and installed the new. There was no more complicated explanation. He was very professional at all times but at the same time very cordial and I have no hesitation in pursuing with him another more serious problem a few weeks from now. Although his approach to this problem promises to be somewhat more costly than those suggested by others, furthermore, possibly considerably more, I feel entirely justified in hiring him in view of his clearly stated and demonstrated reasons for addressing what he sees as the underlying problem as opposed merely to symptoms.

Initial contact and emergency door repair was done well. Communication was good as far as the emergency door repair. When it came time to tackle the difficult water damage, communication was not good. To Angie's list members, If you have extensive water damage contact a great roofer to get to the heart of the problem. I was very pleased with Klemenc. The main problem I had with Heights Enterprises was with an ongoing query into repairing the water damage which was extensive. In this case it was all talk and no action. I was told the work could start after another job and would entail a few days of "poking around" to determine the extent of the damage. Unfortunately Heights Enterprises never called when they said they would but didn't turn the difficult job down by word of mouth or contract. I was left hanging during good weather when it would have been possible to do the repair.

Price given was for the job, itself. We paid for tiles, vanity, sink, faucets and vent duct work and accessories. Vent work was quoted at $59/hour and was done in speedy manner. He sawed out board sections in attic, replaced the duct work and reinstalled the board sections as they were before. Very pleased! No more birds in attic or cold air entering the space behind the walls Bathroom work was quoted at $850. Tile resulting floor was very solid; Used backer board and lots of nails A couple tiles had sharp corners. Mr. Pullen was responsive in making them right. The radiator in the crowded corner could not be removed to tile the tight space due to winter. I said that the dark space would be not visable anyway. He did that area anyway which was very labor intensive with the patterned mosaic tile (one small piece at a time). He ordered the tiles and tile materials and delivered them. The entire job was excellent. I have used him before and will do so again.

Everything went excellent. He was able to take floorboards out of the attack to get to it. He put in a new vent duct to keep the birds out. Everything was put back perfectly. I was very pleased. In our bathroom project, he also did a very good job. He gave good guidance.

They were very responsive to our phone calls. They came out, checked it, and did the work on time, but unfortunately there was some problem with the rewiring that they did. It had not been completely resolved not through any fault of theirs, but just because we have cold weather and snow. They are not really able to complete it, but we have a verbal guarantee from them that they are going to come back out and get the work completed as soon as possible.

A detailed work estimate was given and once agreed on was followed to order. If there were additional or less costs, this was discussed at first. Robert was professional from start to finish and comes highly reccommended. Least just say our 3 yr old daughter calls all servicemen/repairmen fixers but call Robert a friend. We have left our home and fills better to have Robert around to help us if anything needs to be done while we are gone.
