I ordered a small replacement window February 8, 2023 and was told the order would take 4-6 weeks to come in. I'm on my 8th week and the person answering the phone will only tell me, " we will call you when the order comes in". They refuse to call the manufacturer to ask when my order will be delivered. A simple phone call would rectify the situation but they refuse to do so.

My mother age 86 called Glass Doctor after the police broke her window to get in after she fell and broke her hip. As an old woman she didn’t know what price would be right for a small pane window. The agent charged her $378 for a 8” x 10” window, the price of a whole new door. Not only did they over charge; they never did the work. Lastly, they never did the work (it’s been 4 months). She’s too old to take them to small claims court. Shame on this sham outfit!

On December 20th 2022 a Canadian goose flew into my windshield. I contacted State farm to file a windshield replacement claim. With an eminent storm heading to the Cleveland area within 48 hours I called locations to see who could get me in the fastest. Glass Doctor promised me an appointment first thing on the 21st. I arrived at 9:00 a.m. at my schedule appointment time but had to wait 15 minutes for a customer in front of me complaining that she didn't get what her salesperson had promised her on another transaction. I told the front reception person that I had an appointment for a windshield replacement and was told that it would be about two and a half to 3 hours. Which is what I was told on the 20th on the phone. I live 40 minutes from the facility but it was the only place that could get me in next day, I took an Uber to downtown Cleveland to have breakfast and get some work done. I arrived back 3 hours later and was told they had not started my vehicle due to an issue with the glass and a new one would be arriving momentarily. I urged the importance of better communication and told them that I just ubered back to be told two and a half hours again. I was told that they would contact me if they were any other delays. I took another Uber back downtown and two hours later at approximately 2:00 p.m. I reached out to them and was told that they hadn't received the glass yet and it would still be another 2 hours. I asked them if they had started anything on my vehicle to which they replied they had not. I asked to speak to a manager and was told they did not have a manager on site nor one available. Not feeling like they were a trustworthy company based on this experience and the complaints from the customer in front of me upon arriving I decided to pick up my vehicle and take it to another company.

Very well. They were very accommodating and professional and my window looks great. They provided me with a rental car. I had to replace my driver's window due to a theft, so when I picked up my car when it was done, it looked really great. Obviously, I hope it doesn't happen again, but I would have work done in the future with this company and I highly recommend them!

Searching our system, I see an order under another name ([Member Name Removed] with a phone number ending 3829) at your address and am assuming this is the order you are commenting about. I do see that it was on the schedule three times and there were communications and messages left multiple times back and forth - so many that it is a bit hard to follow. The notes do show that the appointment was rescheduled either once or twice by the customer. It appears on the last day scheduled, we called ahead, didn't get a response, and left a message. We have found that it has become more difficult to conduct business via phone with customers versus email and/or text. Since your order was originally placed, we have added email communications to our process. And, we are in the process of upgrading our phone system to allow text communication. We are already seeing significantly better response to our communications and improved customer service through email. We would very much like to take care of your glass issue. If you can give us another try, I'm sure you would enjoy a much better experience. Matt"

Have been waiting for weeks now to have one single house window repaired after a break-in. I keep calling them every few days to check on the status since they never call me back. When the service tech was originally at my house I was told it would take just a couple of days to come in and then they'd schedule delivery/installation. So I gave him the deposit and placed the order. The only thing special about the window is that I requested to have a clear security film applied to the glass. That same day I also ordered a roll of the same security film from Amazon to apply to several other windows and the order arrived 2 days later, of course. Anyway, when I didn't hear anything by the end of the first week I called and was told it was supposed to be in on Tuesday. One Tuesday when I didn't hear anything I called and was told by the end of the week. At the end of the week when I called I was told the beginning of the next week. On and on and on. Well it's now yet another Monday and I called and was told it "should" be ready at the end of the week and again that they will "call when it's ready". Same thing, for weeks now. I regret I ever placed my order with this company. I'm tired of having a boarded-up window and waiting on them with no idea of how many more weeks this pattern will repeat.

Terrible. We went a few weeks before they could get someone there to look at the job, measure, and give me a price. The gentleman showed up, took a look and gave me a price. All good, go ahead with the job. After calling a week after they said they would have the new door, we were told it was not in yet. After calling them about two weeks later, what a coincidence! The door arrived that day! Four days later, the same gentleman who measured the door, came downstairs and told me it was the wrong size. Another month, finally they install the door. Thinner than I was led to believe, but it was ok. On the bottom of the door there is a gutter with a rubber stop. They had the stop on the wrong end. Every time you shower and open the door, the water runs out of the gutter onto the bathroom floor.

When we received an estimate we were not told that our shower enclosure was not level and most importantly that the Glass Doctor metal door frame would be smaller than what we had so there would be issues. We were only told that the shower door would be a little shorter which was fine with us. Now we have a beautiful rain patterned glass door but the frame is crooked, the doors don't close properly and worst of all the shower section that shows because the metal frame is smaller is stained and scratched. The installer even scratched one of the metal frame bottoms and cut the foam where the door inserts when you close it so it would work.

We are so disappointed. This is not something we can even ever fix without significant additional expense. We expected them to be shower door experts but they never gave us a chance to explore other options because they didn't warn us about the issues. The installer said "You bought the doors!" Now we have beautiful doors and an ugly shower.

We also had to wait a month for the doors but they gave us a discount because of the poor communication.

The owner called and said they would fix the doors. They improved the closing of the doors, but now left a big hole in the corners and filled it with caulk. I texted the owner but never heard back from him. I am attaching a picture.

It went well. From the moment I called to set up a estimate the woman who answered the phone (maybe Lori) was very accommodating. The gentleman who came out and performed the estimate was very polite, courteous, and well spoken. He came in, took some measurements and advised on the cost. He gave me a moment to decide if I wanted to move forward and explained the next steps which were placing a deposit to order the glass. I then asked him to measure a 1/2 bath for a future project which he did without hesitation.
After that was done he told me that once the glass comes in (which it did the following week), I could then call and make an appointment to have it installed. After I called to have it installed I needed to change the date due to a unexpected event. It was very easy to reschedule and they were very pleasant about it. They even told me that I could specify to come after 11 a.m.
They came out today to perform the install which only took maybe 20 minutes. They cleaned the large pieces of broken glass and took it with them. I was able to pay the deposit and balance on their portable credit card machine which made things very convenient.
I would absolutely use them again without questions. They have it all together. Professionalism, promptness, and great customer service!

Last Wednesday it started raining. Rain was coming in through the window and large cracks in the door frame window on the door. They told me they did nothing wrong. Offered to reseal the window and it was not a good job. It looks really bad.

"I spoke extensively with our customer this week following our technician visit to his home. We installed this glass in July, the customer experienced water leakage below one of the window openings in late October. While there, our tech inspected all of the window openings where we had installed glass. Each window is completely sealed. The leakage is not due to our work. However, our technician found sizable gaps in the mortar joint on the sill just below this window which may be the cause of this issue. Pictures were forwarded to our customer and he stated that he would call someone in to fix this issue. Per the customer's request, our technician ran an additional seal around each window on top of our existing silicone bead. Necessarily, this makes the bead more obvious and less attractive. I'm sorry that our customer is experiencing this issue at his home. And, I can understand how he might link it to the fact that we had done work above the leakage site within the last few months. I'm happy that, while we were at the customer's home, we likely identified the source of this water intrusion so that the issue could be resolved quickly."

Mary was our salesperson and technician. She did it all and she was great. I would highly recommend her in particular. I wish that I had not waited so long to repair our windows, or literally spent so many years wondering how it should be done. Glass Doctor and Mary made it easy. Glass Doctor was ready to install my windows within a week of our quote and our signing, but I was sick at the time so I asked for more time. Mary was happy to work around my cold and my personal schedule. Usually I'm a bit nervous when someone has to work around my house, but I felt at ease with Mary's professionalism and skill. The windows look terrific. Mary even put up with my four barking dogs that insisted on escorting her around the house!
