What terrible people Extremely overpriced Bad service I was robbed that’s why I needed an alarm and then Gilmore robbed me again You can definitely find a better company to deal with don’t be a fool like I was

They were great.  We have set the alarm off a few times and they were quick with their calls, I really liked them.

They had good reviews and they are a local company. Everything was good.

It was very expensive. They weren't offering that much more than what I went with. The estimator was at the home for about 45 mins to an hour. They were polite and professional, but it just came down to cost-benefit. This company is great for people who aren't DIYers and want someone else to manage everything else (if money is no object).

We could not be happier with Gillmore Security.  We received quotes from a couple Residential Security companies and opted to go with Gillmore.  Both the sales rep and installer were professional and helpful.  We have never had a home security system and thus the salesman spent a lot of time answering questions and explaining how the systems work. He did not pressure us into buying items we did not want, but took the time to explain the pros and cons. He also responded to additional questions via email in the days following.  Our final decision on going with Gillmore was based on Angie List reviews and the fact that they were local.  We also spoke with a National firm but decided based on equipment being installed that we wanted to go with local. Once the decision was made it was about a week before it was installed.  Can not say enough about the installer. We have never had someone as professional as Mike was. He came in, explained what he was going to do and how he would do it. He was the neatest contractor we have had in the house.  He cleaned up as he worked. You would never have known he was here. It was amazing. Since the install, we have only forgotten once that the alarm on and we set it off. Our phone was ringing within 10 seconds checking to see if we were ok.  Makes us feel safer.  Thanks Gillmore.

Clean work, OK service, expensive.

They were all really friendly and courteous. They were willing to work with our schedule and they were very professional. I don't recall the price right now.

Excellent service and communication beginning with the sales professional, skilled installation tech and beyond with the central office. This is our second Gillmore system in as many homes and we feel good about the entire experience. We felt the tech treated our home like it was his own, very careful and thoughtful with his planning for a clean install.

Sales-professional and not pushy. Discussed options and did not press hard to sell upgrades.
Installation-punctual and professional. There was one problem and they were back within 30 minutes to replace part.
Overall, it went great and I would recommend their services.

I was able to determine the best security format for my home.  The in-house installer was very professional and punctual.  He explained each step of the install process.  He worked delegently and neatly when he finshed you could not see any visible wiring.  The technican took great pride in his work, I was fortunate to select Gillmore security. A representative came out to our house one evening and spent a great deal of time with us going over what we wanted and the pros and cons of various equipment and services Gillmore provides. We had a pretty good idea of what we wanted and so he wrote up a contract and left it with us to think about it. We had further questions and he came back to talk about other services. We exchanged emails over a week or so. Then we went ahead with the contract with a few changes and scheduled a time for installation. They sent out Mike to do the installation. He is better than fabulous. He is very detail oriented and does a great job. One thing we liked is that they hard wire everything that they can, rather than do it all by wireless. They answered all our questions and came back to install a couple of additional things we wanted. They cleaned everything up very carefully when they were done. All the equipment looks very nice and they make it blend in to the house decor very well. There is no doubt that someone could get a less expensive system from Gillmore. Both the representative who met with us and Mike indicated that we were getting "the works." They did not make any effort to talk us into that. In fact the representative talked us out of several things as not necessary in our situation. After the initial instllation was done, we got a sheet for our insurance company to list the various equipment we had installed. We noticed on the sheet some things we wished we had asked for. On two occasions over a period of a few weeks Mike came back (we said we would wait until he could do the work rather than use someone else) to install other equipment, yesterday being the most recent. We think we are done now. Of course, after the basic system was installed we forgot we had set the alam several times. We set off the alarm and got a call in seconds to be sure everything was okay. Frankly, we could not be happier. Anyone who has gotten far enough in the process to read this review knows they can get alarm systems cheaper. However, if you are willing to spend the money to get comfortable that you and your home are protected, Gillmore is a good choice. And,as I said before, you don't have to get all of the bells and whistles we got. However, two things to remember: (1) be sure to get the wireless back up so that if someone cuts your line you have back up (although cutting the line will send a message to Gillmore) and (2) once you get the alarm, be sure to set it. We like that Gillmore is local and is big enough to have the latest technology but not so big that you are just a number in a call center in India or somewhere like that.

From the time we made the appointment to the time they finished the install it went very well, from the person giving the estimate to the person doing the install.  They were all a pleasure to deal with.  There wasn't a big mess during the install & anything that might have gotten messy was cleaned up right away.  After it was finished the installer showed me some basic things about setting and disarming the alarm system.  It's very easy to use.  It does come with a quick guide as well as a users manual.  We're still messing with the system to see what's works best for our situation.  The only issues is the motion detector with our pets in the house.  The alarm has gone off a couple of times while out of the house and Gillmore has called right away to report it.  It was the same motion detector both times.  There was no break in but we assume it was just the pets setting it off.  We were never worried, but I called Gillmore about it.  They responded very quickly and are sending an installer to see if we can adjust the motion detector to solve that problem.  Other than that it works great.  If you're looking to install a security system I would strongly recommend Gillmore Security.

When I called, they timed the take off of the alarms off the old doors, so that we were not without any protection.  They were outside doors.  As soon as the new doors were in, they came right out and reattached them so that we were wired again.  They usually come out once a year for inspection and they always know what they are doing and we love our system even though it's 30 years old.  Good company and nice men that work for them.

Everything in the entire process went very well, very smoothly. A sales person from Gillmore Security came out and discussed options based on our needs. He was on time, very professional, not pushy to get a sale. We bought a security system and a monthly monitoring plan. Installation person came within less than a week later to install our new system. It took several hours, but the installer was polite, cleaned up after himself, explained everything thoroughly, and got everything up and running without any issues. After Hurricane Sandy, our power was out for a week, and as a result, we had no security system. Gillmore actually credited our account for a week's worth of non service, even though they were not required to do so. Equipment is more expensive than competitors, and probably so is the monthly service fee, but they make up for it with very good customer service.

They were fabulous! I would give them an A+! Not only did they do the job perfectly, but they understood how concerned I was and even though they have a very busy schedule, they still made time for me and sent out their best technician to me. They left everything immaculate when they left.
