About us
I have 30 plus years personal experience in remodeling. My small business was established in 1992. It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to work in a career that I find extremely satisfying. I am one of those fortunate people to be able to make a living doing something I have loved my entire life. Originally going to school for a degree in architecture while working in the trades, it soon became apparent to me that although I still love the design and planning aspects of construction, I also very much enjoy the hands on creation. I take pride in the fact that a satisfied customer is my first and most important goal. I also try to get all my customers exactly what they want at the most reasonable price possible, often making suggestions on options that may attain their goals but be more cost effective. I specialize in finish work: including trim carpentry, drywall and wall repair, painting, cabinets, baths and kitchens, etc. I contract the work and work on the jobs. I use subcontractors for areas beyond my expertise that may be needed for parts of the work. I have worked with them before and know they also have the same goals toward customer satisfaction that I have. I will work on small jobs as well as large. Another part of the remodel included a complete replacement of the shower in our master bathroom, which involved removing the original fiberglass shower, prepping and modifying the wall structure, reinforcing the floor under the shower, installing a new floor pan, new bronze fixtures, new complete floor-to-ceiling tile with custom mosaic inlay in the shower itself, new recessed shower shelves with custom cut marble shelf pieces, new floor tile throughout the bathroom in a pinwheel pattern, new marble threshold, and finish sealant.
Finally, new paint scheme throughout entryway, kitchen, dining room, living room, hall, and master bath, 6 colors total, all done perfectly.
All in all, Fitzgerald did a fantastic job on all aspects of this remodel. The quality of workmanship was very, very good. The final results look amazing. During the entire process John was polite and professional, understood what we envisioned, and provided excellent suggestions and guidance on the things we weren't sure about. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone looking for excellent quality remodeling and refinishing work.
