I am writing this review not to advise about the quality of work Anthony DeFrancesco can do but rather his inability to even start the job because he quit before starting. We had gotten a quote in Dec 2020 and I signed the contract with Anthony on Jan 4, 2021. At the time of the quote he stated that he had 1-2 jobs starting in the spring so it should be no problem starting my job mid-end of April. He wrote this on the contract. He advised me at that time to give him a call mid March and he would better be able to tell me time frame. I called and he told me to contact him at the end of March. At that time I emailed him. He responded to contact him after Easter. At that time he stated he was hoping to start around 04/19 That date came and went. I sent another email to inquire when we would be on the schedule. At this time he started to correspond to my husband via text. He gave my husband many excuses as to why he was not able to start our job. His other job was complicated, lack of workers, lack of quality workers, weather (which was pretty decent all of April) and by mid May the last excuse was he was ill. I was getting very frustrated to already be in mid May and not having a definitive start date. I emailed Mr DeFrancesco that I wanted to know when he was going to start my job and was tired of excuses. To which he responded that he was no longer interested in doing our job because we had become too contentious to even think of working with us. I responded to him that I found it ridiculous that he was saying that we were contentious when it was him not being professional and he should be able to give a difinative start date. He then responded that he was not going to "deal with a woman who had NO CLUE" (he wrote this twice). He stated he would be refunding the $800 deposit and "good luck finding another contractor". It took a month and a threat of small claims court for him to return our money. He wrote the check to my husband even though I was the one that wrote the check for the deposit. If you are a woman looking for a contractor....DO NOT CONTRACT with Anthony if you expect any type of respect as a woman.

Do NOT hire this man.. He took a large deposit from me then disappeared. When I finally got a hold of him (since he gave me a business card with NO current information on it.). This should have been my 1st clue, business cards are super cheap.. He proceeded to accuse me of shopping him which i assume to mean getting estimates...that is what people DO in this line of work. Also, Anthony and I went to school together so I never thought this would happen.. He proceeded to call me a myriad of names fat horse, bxxxx, sick bxxxx, etc. (Yes, you read that correctly!) Needless to say Anthony is a lunatic and I would NEVER hire him NOR have him in my home with my family.. It is now 3 months later and despite Anthony several promises to be a man of his word and return my money, I am still waiting. Not only did i hire someone else but I will now have to waste MY TIME & MONEY taking him to court. While researching the court info it appears Mr. DiFrancesco has MANY lawsuits against him for doing the same thing to other victims of his scam.. If you want GOOD work done with a contractor who has insurance,I highly suggest you find someone besides Anthony. Despite him being a thief, the treatment from him and lack of professionalism would keep me away alone.. Lastly, if your a female and hiring him, wait for him to start attacking you personally like a complete lunatic.. If i could give him less than 1\2 star, I WOULD!

It took three weeks of different work, first they had to dig a 3 x 3 ditch under the existing structure and filled it with concrete. Letting the concrete set, they added extra bracing to the underside of the room. This took two weeks of very hard labor. Then Tony added the final supports with concrete cinderblocks on top of the concrete. To blend the new support with the house, he added a facing of brick. Lastly he rebuild our steps and landing. We were 100% impressed by his crew and Tony and their problem solving skills as well as the work ethic displayed. The finished room is like a new addition to the house. It feels solid, no longer tilts and has the added benefit of being more insulated this winter.

Anthony is honest and hard working.  The front steps look really nice, especially from the street.  They are also very stable and seem like they will last, especially from seeing the amount of preparation going into the base of the steps.  They are not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I think it is only we who notice the imperfections (things like slightly crooked bricks in a few places, excess mortar some places or not enough in a few others, one stone step is slightly shorter than others).  It is a good idea to watch over the project as it is happening and point things out that you want addressed.  Anthony was eager to make sure we were happy with the work.  In the end, we asked him to come out again to clean off some of the excess mortar that was left on the faces of some bricks and the stone . . . his workers were not that enthusiastic about the task, and there is still a good amount that we will have to try to remove ourselves in a few months.

The back pier is fine -- it's not exactly straight if you put a level up next to the sides, but again we are perfectionists and see these things that others probably would not.

We had also hired Anthony to build a small wall in the foundation of the house, where wood had been prior, but in the end he told us that he was not comfortable with that project.  I appreciated his honesty about his ability to do what we wanted rather than just slap something up that might not be stable.

Overall, Anthony is a good person to work with at a reasonable price.  He answers his phone and makes an effort to communicate frequently with the customer.

Overall the job went very well.  I was very pleased.  The quality of their work really stood out to me.  Their pricing was good.  I will use their services again in the future.

He is the best. I use him for all of my landscaping needs.

Overall, it was an excellent experience. They were very pleasant to deal with and the work seems to be very good. It took only two days for them to complete the project.

They cut the lawn. They removed the debris and took it with them. Overall they have been really good. They do a nice job and the yard looks good. They are expensive.

They are very professional and their prices are reasonable. I'm happy with the results.
