The technician arrived an hour past the window given without informing me he would be late. He then told me there would be a diagnostic fee, which I was not aware I was going to be charged since I had requested an estimate and was not under the impression that this was a "service call" for a "repair" as the tech explained. He also mentioned that the office often does not correctly explain that an estimate for this service requires the diagnostic (and the fee). I was hesitant at first but I do need the work done, and the tech said the diagnostic fee was standard with this type of work, which I have also heard. Initially he was very doubtful it could be moved and questioned why I wanted to move it, then he looked around and said it could probably very easily be done. It got off to a rocky start, as the tech was late and I was not expecting a diagnostic fee, but it ended alright.

It was very shaky at first but got better towards the end. They had to come out five times before the issue got resolved. The first tech that they sent out was Christian he told me that the problem was that my unit needed to be clean. I accepted his recommendation to clean the unit before he even left I knew the unit was not fixed because it was still blowing warm air . I pushed him on the issue and explained that the unit was still blowing warm air and my problem still wasn't solved. He then stated that the unit needed to be running for a couple of hours before it would start to cool down. I told him that doesn't make much sense at all but what do I know I don't know much about HVAC so I took his word for it . About two days later when the weather was warmer my house was about 78* inside with the AC running. I called and that's when I got Angela who was not pleasant at all I explained to her my compliant but she kept trying to tell me it would be another service charge after going back and forth the manager abruptly got on the phone and said very rudely their would not be another service call. I also spoke with Donna at one point and she was very pleasant and professional. I told them to not send Christian because I did not have much faith in him that he could actually fix my problem. The next technician to come out was Pete the general manager. He was wonderful and understood my concerns and diagnosis what the problem was. Turns out the coil needed replaced and some valve that helps control the temperature in the coil or something like that. Either way it sounded like he knew what he was talking about. After the parts came in they sent Ken he too was so wonderful I can not say enough good things about Ken. He was prompt on time and put 150% into fixing the problem. I thought I was good to go however that was short lived . I went on vacation for about 2 weeks and when I came home it worked for a couple of days and went back to not cooling down. I forgot to mention for all the problems they offered me a discount which made me pretty happy. I called BTU and got Angela again who was very nice and pleasant and very apologetic. They sent out Pete again and he fixed it again turns out the coil was bad but under warranty so they replaced and my house has been cool ever since then. In the beginning I would have rated very low but towards the end I was happy with the service. All I ever wanted was my air to be fixed and working right. I would use them again.

Amazing was that the owner of the company was always available for questions and visited and inspected the job to insure it was up to his specifications. I had a 20 year old furnace and A/C units removed and new, energy efficient units installed.   A few months before that (in March 2011) my old hot water tank went bad and they came right out and replaced it.  Everything was installed with absolute professionalism.  The units work excellent and if I ever have any issues, all I have to do is call and someone will come out right away.  To keep the units running at their optimum, I have them serviced 1x each year.  The technician is always professional and courteous and spends ample time getting the job done right.

The owner did show up in a hour.  Problem turned out to be a clog in water hose.  He also cleaned out my furnace and gave me coupons for future service calls which I KNOW I will use.  Great work!!

Cannot go solely on their opinion. I was told I needed a new thermostat. I had another Heating and cooling company come for a second opinion and estimate, and he said I did not need a thermostat. That did proove to be true, everything is working fine. My house I recently bought is under a one-yr home warranty. The heat wasn't coming out warm, and AC wasnt working. Found out the freeon had a leak, all he was allowed to do was fill it. Not repair it,. He kept looking at his watch when I asked questions, and said hes on the clock, this is costing money, every minute I'm here. He also wanted to charge me from the time he called and was on his way to my house (an extra 25 min) but I put up one heck of a arguement, there was no way I was gonna go for that!

"I would like to apologize for the service you received. I can let you know that the tech has been counseled on the service call in question. We do not operate like this. Also, if you have a home warranty, you only pay your deductible. As long as the system has been maintained, they pay for the repairs. Time is not an issue to you, only to the warranty company. As for the Freon, they only let us fill it up on the first trip, unless it is completely empty. If we need to return for the same issue, we have to do a leak search on the system. I did not know anything about this service call until I read the review on Angie's list. Did you call to speak to me about it?"

I have worked with this company for almost 5 years.  They serviced and maintained an existing heating system in the home that  was in the home when I bought it.  The existing furnace was old, and incorrectly installed.  They managed to keep it "alive" for almost 5 years.  When the old furnace no longer operated, they installed a new Crown boiler that is more efficient.  Although their at still some bugs to work out, I am pleased with the equipment and and the company's quick response to my concerns.  I also maintain a monthly service contract with this company so that when I have a problem with my heating equipment, their calls and repairs including any needed parts are automatically covered.  This is very convenient.  As part of my purchase agreement for the new heating equipment, the offered me this service free for two years.  The boiler is is under warranty for one year with an option to add a year.  This is a win-win situation for me and for the company.

approximately in 2006, I had a problem with my furnace and used my home warranty program to have it serviced.  The home warranty program sent BTU to service the furnace.  BTU determined a new thermostat was needed and replaced it quickly.  I was very pleased with their promptness and service.  They were courteous and very knowledgeable.  I continued to use the Company's annual service agreement which provided for service of the heating and a/c twice year.  Service was affordable and completed in a timely manner.  It is a pleasure to do business with them.

BTU's technician (Rhyms) made two visits to our home. The first visit involved diagnosing the problem and paying the $60 deductible. The previous installer failed to braze the lines properly causing the oil abd R410 freon to leak out and caused a low voltage short circuit. Rhyms did not have the equipment and materials to make the repairs. Rhyms returned June 14 to make the repairs, reload the R410 freon and test the lines. It took approximately 90-minutes to complete the repairs and test the lines.

I did not have to pay the $600 bill due to to the poor craftsmanship on the original installer and unit is covered by an Home Warranty policy. I gave BTU Solutions a "B" rating on QUALITY because Rhyms did not re-install the ceiling tiles he removed on the first visit.

I have a contract with them and I had to pay only for the Freon.  They replaced our furnace last winter.  They were much better than the other company that we used.  I don’t have any complaints at all about this company.  The person that came out last time was really nice and very good.  I was the last one at night and they still came to me around 6.30 at night.  I was impressed because our air conditioning wasn’t working and it was hot.  It was very nice of them to work late.  They went out of their way to make to my house that day because the weather was bad.  I have used them several times.

They seem to be the only company so far that I have found that knows how to work on my boiler system effectively. They can fix one thing without breaking another and I really like that. I have a maintenance contract so I spend about $20 per month.

Don was very professional, clean and informative! He comes on the house call with an identification badge, and he even uses boot covers when he comes into the home as to keep the environment clean! He was very helpful and informative on the mainenance and upkeep needed to prevent problems in the future. He was very fair with his costs and even had several maintenace programs to choose from for future house calls. I would recommend his company to all. I was very satisfied with his company's service!
